  1. Beetel Mobiles - Good Choice

The beetel GD440 is an excellent phone at that price, I suggested this mobile for my friend when he asked me to do so in dual sim mobiles category, he purchased it 2 months before & he is very much satisfied with it. He even using GPRS in this mobile. The overall functionality is very good & has many features like support for avi files(though doesn't play all avi files), QWERTY keypad.
  2. First of all I apologize to moderators & admins for blindly posting same information(regarding Xi3 desktop with chromeos) as the above person, since there is no way for me to delete this post, i am editing this. Secondly, coming to the chrome os, cloud computing is far away from being useful or used by normal people, not only in india but in the entire world, as it requires seamless internet connectivity. And chromeos, it would have been a good choice, if it offers an option for working offline in addition to the cloud computing. So, not only chromeos books but also chromeos also may not get a good reception atleast from normal people. Some of the corporations may use the chrome os.

  4. Nokia To Use Windows Mobile in Smart Phones

It seems that Nokia is going at full throttle in reorganizing itself. Here is the another announcement from Nokia to reaffirm that fact. Today the company announced it will rename all the Ovi services to Nokia services. This move aims to unite and strengthen the Nokia brand as a whole. This announcement followed a series of measures or steps in the process of companies reorganization plan like replacing its CEO, migration to Windows Phone 7, changing its font, moving Symbian outside Nokia and dismissing 4000 employees. According to Nokia there will be no other changes besides the rebranding, which should end somewhere in 2012. It promises a "smooth and seamless transition" that will change nothing but the Ovi word in various services. So, why the change question got a short and simple answer – "By centralizing our services identity under one brand, not two, we will reinforce the powerful master brand of Nokia and unify our brand architecture". For us(customers), we don't care what administrative decisions Nokia takes in its reorganization process, rather we want a Solid phone on a solid platform,or may be a Meego device. Source
  5. The Android Market has gone through a major update after Google I/O conference. Google has done some refreshing design changes to the interface of the Market for both mobile and desktop and made discovering of new apps easier. On top of that paid apps are now available to 99 new countries, which is a win-win for everyone. Here is a sample of new Android Market Interface. Let's start with the improvements made to the online version of the Android Market. Google updated the Android market with the new interface in the wake of exceptional growth the market with new apps are being added every day. Here are some statistics that emphasizes the point that Android market is growing larger and larger, there are now over 200,000 apps available on over 300 devices, 4 to 5 billion users have installed Android apps. Keeping these impressive numbers in mind Google updated the Market interface to be more user-friendly and apps have to be easier to find than before. Some of the new features of the online mareket are, a revamped Top app charts section which shows you the apps that are doing the best and they are country-specific, as well, which should make them more relevant to you. Google has also added top new free, top new paid, and top grossing lists to the Android Market home page. Google has also created an "Editor's Choice" which consists of applications chosen by the Android Market staff.Developers doing well on the Market have their appearance on the Top Developers section in homepage, too. Successful developers will get a special badge next to their name. If you are an Android user, you should be familiar with the online version of the Market and appreciate how easy it is to install new apps, without having to go through the app on your phone and do it from there. The related apps section in the Android Market has been made better too. There are now "apps frequently browsed by people who viewed this app" and "apps that people tend to install alongside this app". And finally the trending apps section, which lists the apps with the most daily installs. And most importantly, Google has now added 99 new countries to the list of countries with supporting paid apps. This means that the countries in the below list will have the full access to the Android Market experience (and most of all, paid apps), without the need to employ hacks and mods. Here's the full list. As for Indians, you can see India has also been added to the above list, which is a great news for all the users of Android platform who can now officially buy their liked application from the android market instead of relying on the hacks and mods. 6. PC Buying Advice

what rajan has recommended is very good(if u like to go with AMD platform) except instead of Asus motherboards I recommend Gigabyte or MSI motherboards as they are much better & more reliable and also instead Sony/Asus dvd drives I recommend LG drives which are more reliable(my personal experience). Other than that what he recommended is very good configuration at that price.
  7. Sprint Samsung Epic 4G - The Beast Is Here!

Hai, I am new to this forum & joined this forum to know more about the Beautiful Samsung Epic 4G & its usability in India. I am very fond of this phone. I had almost bought this phone recently but restrained myself at the last minute for two reasons 1) it's a cdma phone with no sim slot, 2) not sure whether I can use it for data usage(which is one of the important thing for me), so I want to know more about this phone & its usability in India. As i read some posts in this forum, i got to know that we can use reliance evdo data network on this phone(but there is no particular information how to make EVDO work on this phone). Mainly I want to know two things about this phone, first & foremost How easy to change networks on this phone(as i can do with any other cdma phones with sim slot). In other words can I toggle between networks whenver I want as I can do with simslot featured cdma phones just by changing the sim card. I ask this question because in my area Reliance EVDO doesn't work(only cdma 1x speeds), so I have to use Tata Photon Plus or MTS Mblaze and also I don't want to be constrained to one network. So, please if any one has the idea regarding this please let me know. Secondly, if i buy this phone & take this phone to the people from reliance or Tata Indicom or MTS, can they make this phone(porting a number to this phone) work on their network fully(both voice & Evdo data). Sorry if this is not the right place to post my quries.
