    bump-ing old thread, now bluedart/tnt/aramex were not accepting mobile phone and dtdc accepts but sends through thier special service called mentioned piece.. which is very costly almost 1K for 10K worth item .. which is the best way to send?

    ^True, after installing it in your phone, it needs to be activated. activation will be succesful only if you try it in your registered mobile no(SIM) present in the handset, since it uses SMS for activation

Timtara has very bad CC and shipping time.. they will not respond any mails/phone calls, -- these kind of complaints are available all over internet for all the online shopping providers, but its very high for timtara. Even after seeing all these reviews/complaints i've ordered an item from timtara, since i got some coupon from timesdeal, now its almost 20 days over i couldnt able to contact them in any way. Sent several mails and tried calling daily..no one picks up

  7. ^I've bought 16GB version and they did accept the firesale price invoice. You need to send it to karan or india@shopandship.com. Mostly for the items valued < 200$ (price + shipping to india) wont attract any duty! Invoice name is not a problem
  8. It can be luck, but i'm not sure where you guys are sending the invoice. Custom duty is calculated not only invoice value but also on the shipping charges.(invoice + shipping to india). As per Sns only items imported from china are assessed by market value in india and not from US/UK. For eg, HP touchpad who ever imported through SnS and sent invoice has not paid any customs. Myself imported 2 Hptouchpad in a package and one in a seperate package, here pacakage having 2 touchpads charged duty and not the other one. Its case for everyone who got touchpad and even one guy got 32GB duty free.
  9. The reason for sending invoice with aramex tracking no is, you might have more than one shipping at a time. Customs duty will be known only during actual delivery to you. These delivery people usually call you and inform prior that you need to pay this much amount The procedure i used to follow is, Once the item reaches NY office, i will get SnS activity mail with weight details and item description. Then i will forward this mail to india@shopandship.com and Karan's(assistant in SnS india operations) with my invoice. Then they will forward this to import team and import team will clear the item as per the invoice once it reaches india.
  10. ^Oh ok. As per the post by SnS in some other forum, we need to send the invoice with their aramex tracking no to them and usually we get aramex tracking no after it reaches their NY address. AFAIK, in NY office only the calculate shipping charges. So far i've done like this and 2 times escaped from duty, one in last week for HP touchpad
  11. I guess SnS will clear as duty free if the item is less than 10K and you need to provide them the original invoice once it reaches their NY office!

  13. ^Yes, i too referred the same. I dont think someone will be more generous to sell it here for 8K after spending 7.7K and, gone through all the hassels like finding, buying and importing in this huge demand BTW mine was on the way to india with the help of SnS

Here is the details Though india is not mentioned over there, but its been confirmed with them,that this offer is available in india too Also its possible(?) one can open shopandship.com a/c for 2.5$ if you use mastercard...since it has 50% off in membership fees. But i've not tried this one, may be some one can register new a/c using master card and the discount coupon earlier posted here

  24. I don't have personal experience with ICC PPO service, but i know this from one of other tech forum and i also heard they deliver the item little quicker than shopandship. One of the member from that forum, recently(2 week back) bought an motorola atrix 4G from ebay.com for 325$ and shipped through ICC PPO service. It costed him 1950 INR for shipping(atrix package weight is more i guess) & customs.
