I purchased the iPad mini from reliance stores in india and using with GSM sim for the last 3 months. When I observed recently, It is CDMA model which was sold in india. It has MEID and and IMEI both. Now my question is can we assign reliance or tata docomo or BSNL non-ruim Number to this for working CDMA network or can we use RUIM directly??

Only voice on this phone for CDMA

My advice donot go for 2012 model. Which lacks upgrading, and DVD drive besides not easily repairable. Go for 2011 model only. It is comparable for upgrading to touch screen also. My suggestion is kindle paper white 3G.

One Update Today, I upgraded iPhone5, ios7 beta 2. It is locked to EE Network of UK and working with R-sim7+. Fortunately, R-sim7+ able unlock. So, iOS 7 running iPhone 5 is able to unlock with gevey sim (R-sim7+). I even updated to beta 3 also.

yes, 5 spot can be unlocked for GSM very easy. i did 2 items. But I am not able to use it with CDMA. Can Anybody help me in this regard.

Do you want to upgrade your apple device to to ios7 beta and enjoy the features before a regular os is released. Follow these steps. It is for GSM models only. 1. your phone should be factory unlocked (Ipods and Ipads come unlocked) 2. Your device should not be jailbreak. (to come out of jailbreak, best method is restore it in iTunes) Backup using Itunes all your apps, contracts, sms etc. Try to configure icould account before restoring, which will save all your contacts, notes, music, photo etc in icould. 3. download the ios7 firmware from the following link (chose the firmware associated with your device model carefully) torPut rent and direct download both available. http://imzdl.com/ios.php 4. Put your phone in DFU mode after connecting to iTunes with usb cable. (google how to do it in DFU Mode) Dfu mode your divice appear in blank screen and restore mode it there will be connecting simble with itunes. Donot mistake with restore mode and dfu mode. Chose new phone. (donot back up). Once it is in full use sync with your itunes and get it backed up if necessary. 8. Donot use find my phone while setup (after full usage you can enable) 9. Donot opt for pass code lock while setup. (after full usage you can enable) 10. you can upgrde future beta version from within phone (Over the air) Any problems occurred and if your phone bricked. Donot worry. Simple restore with itunes without using ios7. 2nd step. iOS 7 4s= power hungry less battery, applications unexpectedly crashing. Phone rebooting itself. iPad mini and ipod touch 5 = very stable and battery life also very good. Ipad2 = batter life is good but apps unexpectedly crashing.
