Yes, only the phone, programed by Reliance or it's RUIM card, can be used. I'm working in RIM Prepaid, i don't know, if anybody else is there. And yes, Mukes Ambani, and all other official member use on RIM mobile.

  7. Watch Movie On Mobile

The problem is when RIM entered tha market in Jan 2003 they had state of art technology, as the CDMA 2000 1X, and u could get live streaming at a awesome speed of 144Kbps, but unfortunately, RIM only streaming at 112 Kbps. And even 144 Kbps is not enough, for that. Unlike 2 years ago, GSM have come up and upgraded to EDGE and will be going ahead with upto WCDMA tech, where download speed can go upto 1.4 MBPS!!!! So, it's high time for reliance that they should go for an upgradation.
  8. Handset Cost

Abhishek, is the LG 5130 u are talking about brand new non activated? If Yes, from which region? Tanveer, is SLIM non activated? And without a preallocated number?

  10. Best Of The Breed

EV - DVO will take some time to hit india. Currently Reliance's CDMA 2000 1X Supporst maxumu of 144Kbps data stream. We need atleast 512Kbps for a smooths Video Conferencing.
  11. Best Of The Breed

Uh......Samsung SCH A603 all the way, except for the PC Sync it score in every aspect!

  14. Ur Favorite Handset

Samsung SCH A603, Here are the pros: (1) Largest Screen Barring the Kryocera (2) Stunning Looks, All Metalic Finish (3) Superb Camera Performance, 4X Digital ZOOM (4) 2 No.s Battery along with seperat battery charger (5) 262 K colour, better than the LG 7230 262K
  15. Handset Cost

Thanks, and infact one more thing, RIM does not charges any thing for transfer of SDCA, so we can buy any phone, at the lowest rates, given that Courier charges, included, costs less than the other region.
  16. Ringtones?

I recntly went through the broucher og GTRAN, and was amazed to see that GTRAN has the facility to Download, Ringtones along with wallpapers from PC. How is that possible? And why not other big players provide this service in CDMA handsets, as their GSM counterparts?
  17. Review - Telson TWC 1150

Some good points to add. Telson has suceeded in making the phone what is meant for, a watch! I mean, it actually comes to good that it's very light and is comfertable to wear. You can actually use it as a normal watch. Plus, even after backlight goes off, u can still see the time, in even bright sunglight.
  18. Review - Telson TWC 1150

Hi, well as i don't have much time, as i'm spending my holidays at Lonavla. Ok, so far as i thought u can olny get the same pic each time a call comes. Now isn't that really stupid. As in the advertisment it says "shows the photo of the caller"????? What do they mean. And simply we cannot do much with the pics taken by the phone, unlike Samsung or LG, u cannot transfer those pics to PC! I don't know how does Reliance justifies the hefty price tag of 24000 Bucks!!! LG Videos camera phone is much cheaper. Atleast they coiuld have given good software upgrade, as a actual Photo Caller ID, and some common features. And more thing I'm unable to figure out, How do u activate the Voice Tag in standby mode, i mean how do u make it listen.Every time i by hit or miss, the voice tag automatically comes!!
  19. Review - Telson TWC 1150

Some Problems i'm facing with Telson, that i would be gald if somebody sorts it out. 1. How to configure Photo Caller ID? 2. How see, missed and recived call list? 3. Is there any type of PC Sync available for Telson, or in the future?
  20. Review - Telson TWC 1150

Some the features which are quoted, but i cannot find them My phone is not showing any menu for that, nor does the Manual suggest anything like that? What the heck? It is, but than why not R Connect? Or there is no data cable available?
  21. Review - Telson TWC 1150

Which Conectivity you are talking about? And one more, thing is there any guy from Delhi and Mumbai? If they can let me know if there's a DATA Cable for Telson Available? I would be in Mumbai on 15th and 20th of May. Please let me know. There's a DATA Port, and IRda port for PC Communication. But even the Pics taken by the camera can only be kept in the phone. Secondly the phone is 115Kbps CDMA 1X Internet Modem enabeld. Now, why does R COnnect is not suported in such a costly and the top most phone in Reliance Invetory?
  22. New Members Introduce Yourself Here!

  23. Telson Twc - 1150

It's not tha much bulky, it's the world's lightest cell phone. But ofcourse in a country like India. I think problems with sweating is something of cosideration. Talking about blue tooth. i don't think it would be soon that Reliance wil put up that kinda phone. As the satratigy is to let ppl buy the Cabel specifiaclly. And why bluetooth when u actualy don't even have R conncet!!
  24. New Members Introduce Yourself Here!

Hi Guys, I'am Rahul Devnath, currently staying in Gandhinagar, Gujarat, i suppose Niket is also local to me? I would like to talk with him. I'am a student and currently in 12th Std. My hobies are Aviation, and working and changing techno toys. Like a cell of course. I'am also a hobbies WEB Designer, u can check out my Site on Indian Air Force . I'am a user of Reliance from past 1.5 years. And Currently own a SCH A563, but soon would be upgrading to Telson TWC 1150.
  25. Samsung Is Expensive

I'am a new member here but a old user of Reliance here and currently using SCH A563. I wholosolely agree with you. Even my friends have the LG colour handsets. While i was in process of purcahsing a colour phone i had a chice between Samsung and Lg everybody, had adviced me that to go for the LG one. I went for Samsung, but first what are the Pros of LG, simply by looking. 1. 65K screen Vs 4096 2. Light Weight 3. 1000 Phone Book Memory 4. External OEL Led, able to read SMS on the external screen. 5. Cheaper Battery and other accessory. But now ewverything just washes off when u actually see a Samsung handset. All handsets, be it GSM or CDMA from any brand have a Yellow tinge on colour phones. Only Samsung gives u true colour. it's 4096 is much better than even 262K of LG phones. It's heavier but the built quality is exfcellet. I was lucky that my Samung A563 survived about 5 drops from a height of 1 meter...directly on external screen....and eureka.....not even a single scratch. My friend, was comparing the both phone and said.....see ur Samsung shuts the screen as soon as u are connceted. Now....really isn't that something inttiligent to do that u need not look at the screen while talking and save the precious battery? Samsung has done more in R&D than LG. After using 8 moths of these phones, i get a stable battery life of 2 days, with all that JAVA usage. My friend's LG goes as far as 1 day with the same usage. Secondly, LG instruments have Serial Port connector compared to Samsung's USB, now that's really to talk about when u are talking about 144 KBps DATA Bus. Ringtones sound a bit better in SAMSUNG. PC SYNC Software is really good. And for those who think lighter is the way to go.....than the feel of LG will be like Plastic where as Samsung will be like metal. And yes samsung body is scratch resistent and does not get brown unlike LG.
