I have already enabled lte band 1800mhz and disabled others using DFS, but no use. u can also enable the bands using hidden service menu. planning to switch to cm13 + custom kernel build to check are u getting at least 3g in note 4?

yes, that's y I switched last week itself, but I am getting 2G reliance only. I have also enabled national roaming. So I get latched on to Tata's network whenever rim network goes out of coverage in my office. Did you try using some other gsm network sim in your handset? migrate to 4g. if u can't send any sms to migrate, go to reliance website and enter details in the migration page. I think, after migration it may take more than 10 hours to start making calls. currently no 4g network, so your mobile should fall back to Rcom 2G/3G

I am also getting only EDGE, and tried an airtel 3g sim and in network status it shows as HSPA do I have get my 4G sim patched? also the signal reception is pathetic in my office, either i get 0 signal or 70%

For me just started working now. got a call and sms also, but no 3G But looks like sms sent during blackout time is gone forever.

Same here from Bangalore, using note 4 only outgoing, No incoming. if you have doubt on mobile try with some other gsm sim. Still same problem, no incoming here. my be they are fixing issue in different phases

For me status in Product Summary is LTE4G_Postpaid. and looks like they have purposefully broken my services website. I was not able to raise a service request nor able to connect someone in chat. Karnataka circle, Just used new 4G SIM yesterday, after my EVDO was switched off. But now no incoming calls/SMS, person on other side will get invalid number error message. but I can make outgoing calls and my number is displayed properly on the other side. Tried to call CC, but could not get past to connect to CC executive. not able to register a complaint on services website.

To Make the note 4 to work in GSM, Do I have to change "Ruim Config" in DFS to "GSM_1X" ? or just unlocking using galaxy tools is sufficient? I have already tried to change the network type to Automatic and also GSM in settings, but still getting invalid sim error. Tried same sim in other mobile and it works properly Re-unlocked and got the mobile network and able to call. But no incoming call, data. network status shows edge. using the 4G replacement sim of reliance looks to be an issue with reliance, I was able to receive a call with other SIM

Now due to 4G migration, is sprint note 4 going to become a good paper weight? Any success in using with new 4G sim?

Some batches of Note 4 has this hardware issue. Even mine had the same issue. Super slow in locking and locks out every now and then during navigation. Had to part with it mainly becaus of this. Read somewhere that when the sd card was removed, it resolved for some. But not for me. PS. Try high accuracy mode as well. duh, well I tried all the methods, updating gps.conf improved the gps lock. if nothing works I will have to bite my tongue and try to do hardware fix

any hints on improving GPS? first time I used it and found horrible.

You need RGE sim to get everything working on Sprint Note 4. Which was your handset before Note 4? You are probably using REC sim, since you are not getting SMS. Contact your local RWW and confirm your sim first and ask them if they have RGE sim in stock. You may have to buy the RGE SIM online. I was using G2 before this, I have also got One world sim(RECRU series) which I have not yet activated. btw, how to check if my sim is RGE?

Current using Sprint_Hybrid_N910PVPU4COG5_Deodexed, not receiving SMS from some sources (i checked online sms), anything particular I have to do? I did not upload reliance PRL file in workshop, only changed ruim settings to ruim prefered. Both voice and data working fine

you have to root the phone, use idoneapps site for getting GSM unlocked and getting SPC get rid off HFA etc. http://idoneapps.com/index.php?os=android You can order directly or want some concession use my account. (pm for details) Though old galaxy tools works on 5.1.1, still i am using official way to honour the handwork of Idone. Yes, Also tried with pass, no use. will try something else no problem in reading, but writing RTRE_CONFIG does not show. and if I press write 2nd time, dfs crashes yesterday, after few tries It did write ruim setting. but there was no entry for RTRE_CONFIG in log. restarted dfs and read config data confirmed the write. was able get the signal and data in stock. used cm remix ROM and in settings its set to nv mode and not changing to RUIM mode btw, i am not able to use dfs and workshop on my note, they donot pull any data and device info in dfs shows operator as reliance. and also imei number is empty

yes, tried with lte/cdma, cdma and also automatic. do I have to do any changes with ##data#? for that I need to find MSL tried with oneworld sim and it said sim error. used a working sim from my LG G2 to note4, network mode to LTE/CDMA no signal, it shows "x" on signal bar. btw how did u got rid of "checking device status".
