all Note4, us cellular, verizon, sprint, at&t, and t-mobile has sim slot. only Sprint and US cellular sim slots works for CDMA to my knowledge. Us Cellular sim slot won't work for CDMA data. Verizon,At&T, T-mbole only works GSM. Sprint works for both GSM/CDMA. Us Cellular only works for CDMA. Thanks, what if we use RGE sim with US Cellular? verizon note can be used in nv mode? also recently I received a global sim from reliance, any one has experience using the same with sprint handsets

Does All Samsung Note 4 has CDMA sim slot? if no, then a note from US Verizon/Sprint has CDMA slot or only NV mode what about AT&T and others?

u have to do few steps manually.

i also have similar signal strength inside the house, I have not observed properly outside. I think only LG Stock ROMs has better signals. For BlissPop, they give a separate lollipop baseband (<100mb) which need to be flashed before the RAM flash.

if u r in un rooted stock u can do OTA or else u have to install ToT file which will erase everything. I am currently using BlissPop G2 ROM( v3.5) which is running on lollipop and very stable. this can be installed from any rom provided one installs a base band prior to rom installation

btw did u ever happen to do any changes to cdma parameters like changing to nv mode?

custom zvd may not get OTA, u must have install stock ROM to get OTA automatically.even if u manage to get OTA in custom ROM u will end up in soft bricking, so unless ZVG tot file is available u have to install older stock ROM and then upgrade to ZVG Ok so if i go into stock zve by tot method then will i be able to work cdma with data? And also in zvg will it work with omh sim? as for as I remember stock ZVE does not have data, but ZVG has data from start without any tweeks. u may have to switch to different SMS app else u will not receive SMS I was only using OHM CDMA sim with all the above steps, I don't know about NV mode.

first u need to root using ioroot and then either use autorec or freegee. search in xda/rimweb forums

if u are in zv8 rooted and want to switch to lollipop , then use cm12 with 5.1. call, data, sms & hotspot works out of the box

u have to unroot and unmodify all the changes u have done which required root permission, and push the update zip (from ZVC to ZVG) from ADB sideload. or use OTA update many times. if you do any mistake u will temporary brick the phone. clean method would be to Use ZVE TOT flash, then OTA to ZVG which will erase everything in phone including internal memory Search XDA there are many guides and if u upgrade ZVG u still need to root to remove sprint bloatware which eats battery and increase temparature.

I can confirm that its bz of lgusmms.apk. just rename that and install some other messenger app to get SMS in ZVG

today morning switched to Ultra ZVG ROM (http://forum.xda-developers.com/sprint-g2/development/rom-ultrapop-t3102895) Finally started reciving SMS now after switching to Google messenger application, I have also tried to rename stock mms and lg sms applications. So I really do not know which method actually worked.

yes no incoming messages at all, I also tried factory reset, today I will try Ultra rom based on ZVG

Vinod, for me also sms is not working, data and call works outof the box. Did u try factory reset to make it work ?

ZVG update is tempting. Vinod, may be its a silly suggestion, did you try using any other SMS app than the default?

I also tried MIUI v5 build, same data problem, tried cm11 build and got logo loop. now back to ZVC stock and got the data by changing build.prop Gaurang, I will try your solution on clouldg2

I have never tried that, I am in CDMA RUIM, does this work with both CDMA RUIM and GSM? btw, just tried the ROM and its very nice. need to find a solution for data connection

any one using this phone with knock code disabled? may be this feature responsible for constant high temp on LCD and eventually killing digitiser. after reading this some forum and appying it on my hs, i am seeing almost 5-10 deg reduction in temparature.

Is there any very lightweight ROM available for G2, all the roms I tested end up having sprint bloatware.

yes, I do carry a wireless mouse + OTG cable the only prob is when I connect mouse the onscreen keyboard does not popup
