File Transfer Without Internet Using Wifi Tether Connection
Rahul Always replied to amtrag's topic in Technical / OS related
For this first you would need to convert your laptop to become a hot spot. Refer the post below: After that, download an app named "SwiftFTP" from the Android Market. It is free. Install the app. Instructions to run and work with SwiftFTP are given in the post mentioned below: Now you would be able to locate your phone and wirelessly transfer files between phone and Lappy. Do let me know in case of any issues Regards Rahul -

Galaxy Player - Android Alternate To iPod Touch
Rahul Always replied to ::: VA :::'s topic in General Technical Discussion
The battery certainly could have been better considering it would be essentially used for long hours of music playing without recharge. Camera... well since it is a music player with a camera (rather than the other way around!) I guess 3 MP seems sufficient. However, we are never ever satisfied with anything we get! -
Review: Samsung Google Nexus-S 4G From Sprint - Curvy Babe
Rahul Always replied to dkaile's topic in Samsung
Well I too found the GPS quite ok except for certain times when it takes a really long time for the GPS to lock on. I have faced this peculiar situation where in certain locations, my GPS just would not lock onto satellites, regardless of the weather conditions. However, in certain other locations, (I tried using the GPS Test app), the GPS would lock on in seconds. So not really sure what the issue is. Which is why I commented on the GPS. Wifi definitely is much weaker as compared to even my wife's Nokia 5800. It loses lock from my router even half way distance from where the Nokia continues to operate. If there is some hack to improve the Wifi, would be definitely welcome. Regards Rahul -

Thanks for the review. Is there any way to improve the wifi and GPS characteristics of the Nexus S 4G? Those are two features that I found to be slightly weak on an otherwise excellent phone. Sent from my Nexus S 4G using Tapatalk -

National Telecom Policy 2011 - No More Roaming Charges!
Rahul Always replied to SumitVerma's topic in Indian Telecom / General News
Would be really good. It would basically result in end of telecom circles as we know it. Any number anywhere in the country can be used seamlessly almost akin to "payable at par cheques". We would no longer require to shift numbers once we shift locations! Sounds brilliant. Lets hope it comes soon! -

Install Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich On Nexus S
Rahul Always replied to yogeshpote's topic in Android
Check out videos uploaded on youtube on how to install and use ICS 4.0 on the Nexus S! The review of the OS is also there. Seems pretty cool. Much more smooth, even though this seems just an alpha release of ICS 4.0. The interface is easier and seems really user friendly. Hopefully, would have ICS up and running on my Nexus S 4G by mid Nov 11 (which is the date indicated for OTA update from Google!). -

October 19, 2011 The Hindu Tata Teleservices Ltd. Wednesday said it will start marketing all its telephone and internet services under the "Tata DoCoMo" brand name from Thursday. The parent of Tata Teleservices (Maharashtra) Ltd. added that all of its 90 million users across technologies and services will now be moved to the Tata DoCoMo brand. It said it has consolidated all organizational assets--such as spectrum, retail outlets, digital footprints and consumer franchises--and that the unification of all of its brands will push growth and unlock synergies. Tata Indicom’s CDMA, GSM, 3G and Photon platforms will now be available under the unified brand Tata Docomo, which makes an entry into the CDMA space with this move, senior company officials told a press conference here on Wednesday. “Our new business approach gives TTL new strategic direction in the ‘access, content and solutions’ spaces, enabling the company to offer compelling propositions to customers in a market that has been witnessing far-reaching changes in terms of usage trends and customer preferences,” TTL Regional Head (South) Yatish Mehrotra said. TTL said it is planning significant investments to upgrade its CDMA network to deepen and widen its existing footprint. TTL also unveiled Photon Max on Tata Docomo, the latest addition to its Photon family of high-speed mobile broadband access products on the CDMA platform, which works on the REV.B platform and offers “extremely fast surfing speeds.” The company clarified that the migration of services to the unified Tata Docomo brand would happen in Delhi-NCR at a later date. This would not impact TTL’s Indicom, Photon and Walky consumers in Delhi, as they would continue to get the same quality of service as in the past, it said. Source

Rahul Always replied to Arun's topic in Indian Telecom / General News
I too have been getting messages from Yebhi.com. And surprising part is, they have started suddenly after a small lull. I called up CC to find out why and he told me this surprising news .. Sir, your no is NOT registered with DND! This is in spite of the fact that DND has been active on my number for nearly 3 years now! Even after that, I had re-registered my number and only activated messaged from Banking. Yet I was surprised to note that my number is not in the DND registry. Reliance at its best?? Anyway, CC said he has taken the request and it would take 7 days to activate. By the way, it was a HE! Rajanbhai, kahaan aap ko yeh husky husky ladkiyaan mil jaati hain? -
