Reliance EVDO Rev B. Multicarrier - Reliance Pro 3
VizagVsp replied to HetalDP's topic in Data services
EVDO Rev. B EV-DO Rev. B is transforming the user experience of millions of EV-DO (HSD/Netconnect) subscribers by bringing Multicarrier (carrier aggregation) and other techniques. Rev B Works on present CDMA Network using Multicarrier Technique On Rev A in Use [[1X]]+[[1X]]+[[1X]]+[[Rev A]] On Rev B in Use [[1X]]+[[Rev A]]+[[Rev A]]+[[Rev B]] Which Free Up Packets for Data rather than for Voice resulting in More Convient to Data Speed. Main Benifits for EVDO Rev. B Users: > High Data Rates - Downlink Speed upto 14.7Mbps and Upload Speed upto 5.4Mbps > Very Low Average Latency - Increases Connectivity Between Browser and Web Page Server > Data Traffic Regulation - BST can Handle More Users along with exsiting REV. A in particular Cell > Advanced Qos - More Packets can be transfered with in paticular Limit resulting Increasing Download Speed by 2x Main Benifits for Existing EVDO Rev. A Users: > High Data Rates - Dowload and Upload Speeds on Rev A will increase by 20% to the present existing Speeds > Improving Latency - Increases Connectivity Between Browser and Web Page Server > Enchansed Coverage - Cell Edge Users (Far away from BTS) will be more connectivity with the BST in an Cell Reliance EVDO REV. B - Nothing but Reliance Pro 3 RCOM has launched Reliance Pro 3 in Very Few Cities/Towns at Present and will be Launched in the Other Cities/Towns Especially in Metros, Cat A Cities and Towns in Non 3G Circles Very Soon in Phase Manner. Reliance EVDO REV.B Devices Data Cards - Rev B Data Cards (Pro 3) are very less avaliable and could be avaliable in all Reliance Mobile Stores/Reliance Outlets when Rev. B is almost completed Installations All Over India in Selected Cities/Towns Mobile Handsets - Very rarely Handsets 1 or 2 but No Official Launch Handsets. More LTE Handsets are Compartible with Rev B and Rev A are yet to Launch in coming years. Note : Cell Refers to Coverage Area of an BST (Base Station Tower) -
Which is better Data Technology? - CDMA 1X OR GSM GPRS/Edge
VizagVsp replied to drabhayshah76's topic in Data services
Speed Standards: CDMA 1X - 153.6Kbps (800Mhz) GSM GPRS - 80Kbps (900/1800Mhz) GSM EDGE - 236.8Kbps (900/1800Mhz) In Real Environment (India Region) Average Speeds: CDMA 1X - 120~140Kbps GSM GPRS - 20~60Kbps GSM EDGE - 96~120Kbps CDMA 1X is Wise Choice due it's Coverage, Data Quality, Felxibility, Response Time and Spectrum Efficiency. CDMA is Code Division Multiple Access which means each customer is represented with an code in the Network. Without any Interface the Network will be in direct access with the user device (Mobile/Data Card). Which means your device is in continous touch with Base Station Tower in Your Area inrespect with other users on the network. When ever you want the access to data connectivity, then you will have instantaneous Access without routing with other devices. That's Major Advantage of CDMA. While Accessing the Data, Device will be continous connectivity with the network without a Single Packet Loss. Which Results in More Response Time from Web Servers. CDMA 1X Coverage ranges upto 12Km Radii. So you could get the Good Signal upto 7Kms Radii. So you get Better Coverage and Signal, Whether in Urban/Sub-Urban/Rural it doen't matter much unelse in due obstacles (Hills/Terrain/Forest/High Density concrete Walls). Even you have High Number of Users Accessing in your Area the Speed doesn't Distribute among users. So each user have the same required bandwidth of 140Kbps. GSM GPRS/EDGE Networks Need More Time (0~12Secs) to Choose the Strongest base station tower in your usage area and connects to the strongest signal strength Base Station Tower. While Testing in real environment the network had experienced packet loss during data Access. Which results in Low Connectivity with the Web Servers as well as the Network. The Bandwidth is Automatically Distributed among users in an area when the users are beyound Base Station Capacity. GSM Devices (Mobile/Data Card) do not have direct touch with network or base Station tower. They Connect to Network when ever a user Switch the Data ON. GSM Base Station Tower Coverage ranges upto 3Km Radii and Good Signal upto 0.9Kms. So you get less coverage, if you use in sub-rban/rural areas. -
Data Goes in Two Ways EVDO or 1X If You are in EVDO Coverage Area Mobile Switches to EVDO Signal If You Are Outside EVDO Coverage It Changes to 1X Data Signal Evdo Rev.A (3.1Mbps) Depends on Various Factors like > No. of active Users in a Particular Area > Horizontal Distance from an EVDO BS (Tower) > Altitude of Place Where Using Mobile > Building Obstraction in Cities/Town If The Users in a Particluar area are below the Limit Capacity of an Tower You Can Experience Good Avarage speed of 2.4-2.9 Mbps If The Users are High (Beyond the Capacity Limit in that Area) The speed is Equally Divided among the Customer if you had Got Full Signal Strength which Results in Decrease of Speed (Doesn't depends upon day time or night time) But Now in Most of the Cities the Users are Beyond the Capacity Limits as active users using EVDO in an Particular Area which results in Very Low Average Speed of 80Kbps - 190 Kbps. You Can Test the Speed in Low Active Users Area where Speeds will be 1.5-2.1 Mbps So You May Experience 1X Speed in Such Conditions (all Speed Tested are Average with Disance of 500mts from Tower)
