I also have a similar issue where it says EVDO is active but getting only 1X speed only. Mine was fixed by reprovisioning EVDO. Have followed the steps by Hitesh Bhai as in the slides. Also 1x data is workign due EVDO is not working. May be will deactivate EVDO and get it activated again.

I also have a similar issue where it says EVDO is active but getting only 1X speed only. you might not have evdo network in that particular area. check in other parts of the city you live. Had HTC EVO 3D about a year ago, and there used to be EVDO coverage then.. Also i stay in some Km range form DAKC. So that is not the issue.

Thanks. the issue was with Diag being enabled once disabled it worked perfectly. One nob question once unlocked via fastboot and installing a recovery will it be necessary to install custom rom or will the current one work. Need to acquire root access for only enabling the wi fi tether as explained by Hitesh in different post or is there any other way to acquire the same.

I am trying to unlock the device but the same is not getting listed in ADB devices. Also after update to 4.4 start up used to show a black colour icon but now it is showing a blue colour icon. Phone is also not reflected as USB device in windows not sure which step i am missing. Any light not the above?
