Commercial launch of Reliance Jio's 4G services could take place in August The much-awaited commercial launch of Reliance Jio Infocomm's 4G services could be around a month away. The Reliance Industries-owned telecom company's maiden plan — likely to be called Freedom — may offer free voice services bundled with data, priced at least 25% lower than current offerings of top rivals. http://economictimes.indiatimes.com/tech/internet/commercial-launch-of-reliance-jios-4g-services-could-take-place-in-august/articleshow/53200181.cms -

Todays news The e-Aadhaar letter or the downloaded version of the card from the UIDAI website, can now be used as a valid identity and address proof document for taking a new mobile connection. This has been clarified by the Department of Telecom which has also placed the onus of verifying the details mentioned in the e-Aadhaar letter – including name, address, date of birth, gender – from the UIDAI, on the representative manning the point of sale. The authorised person at the shop will also have to record a declaration saying that the customer details mentioned in the e-Aadhaar letter have been matched with the details received from the UIDAI. http://indianexpress.com/article/business/business-others/now-e-aadhaar-a-valid-document-for-new-mobile-connections-2911585/ -

How to use BSNL CDMA RUIM on imported CDMA phones
alugobi replied to dr.faramroze's topic in Technical / OS related
Ha Ha Ha BSNL CDMA users are lucky Suddenly good brand CDMA smart phones seems to be available at Jaw dropping prices. Don't ask me where -
Yes. The correct date is 6th July 2016 CDMA services will be unavailable from 6th July 2016 I think RCom has made this notice as insisted by TRAI few days back on generating UPC
-
The English version of this notice has a sentence "CDMA services will be unavailable after 16July2016" (For Rajasthan, Karnataka, Kerala and Tamilnadu)
-
Public Notice (4G TRAI Notice) on RCom Website States that CDMA would be unavailable from 06July2016 in Rajasthan, Karnataka, Kerala and Tamilnadu http://www.rcom.co.in/Rcom/personal/home/index.html
-
I had a dream In that dream RCom gave 4G data free for three months, Voice call and sms free for three months just like JIO to all CDMA to 4G upgraders. It is only a dream.
-
RGsm has improved a lot now compared to earlier days. Once RCom-Aircel merger gets through things would improve further. Aircel is strong on voice clarity and voice coverage. Aircel 3G would take care of data requirement till RCom 4G happens and 3G speed is as good as EVDO speed or better. RCom gets 4G from RJio which is seamless and superior. Any other network to match Jio 4G- needs money and time to create infrastructure Idea, voda has patchy network in TN. Airtel voice clarity will not be as good as CDMA voice so why port out? Stay with RCom. Get the best of Voice and Data.Things are improving
-
Why are you porting out? In Tamilnadu RCom-Aircel has very good coverage of the state. You will have good RCom network My suggestion to you is to stay in RCom instead of porting to some other network. Don't jump from frying pan to fire
-
Ha Ha Ha you will need a three band handset (LYF ?) to get RComs 4GLTE
-
^^^ Which handset you are using ?
