Hello, Thanks for the comments. Tried everything - problem still persists. I have tried to pry into the event log. It indicates problem with Remote access connection manager (access denied). Tried the installation keeping this service 'on' forcefully w/o success. Rgds Hemant

Thanks to Kevin and Rajan. Tried them but couldnot succeed. When I tried installing on another Win2K system it worked perfectly okay. Even reinstalled the XP OS on the first machine without any success. Seems like a local software problem because I am not getting an generic DUN connection even after installation of modem. Hello, I am using LG-350E for connecting to internet vis serial interface on a Win-XP OS machine. Recently I have re-installed the OS. I have also downloaded the latest suggested drivers from Reliance site. While installing the modem is get installed as 19200 bps std modem but the installer program is unable to create the dialler shortcut and aborting after installing the modem with the message 'unable to create dial-up connection'.
