MTS Livewire MTS Mtag the above phones are basic Adroid phones. and they are locked to MTS network where as Samsung pop i559 is not locked to perticular network, you can use any CDMA connection with this(Reliance, Tata, MTS). if you want little better phone then you should go for Samsung pop i559. I did it, but it is not setting it to default. if I click on radio button of new APN, it goes inside but not getting selected, it is by default selecting OMH. I dont know how to crack it??

Hi Amit, I have EVDO activated on my Samsung Galaxy POP CDMA. this moth I received the bill of rs.777.00 saying Rworl usage(network usage) and not got any bill for downloads. the CC says it is charged 0.05paise/10kb basis. and I am in default plan which is 0.5paise/1MB. I do not understand why I got network usage charges. and I tried to configure APN, I created the APN but not able to select the new APN, it is by defailt OMH. Please assist me how can I get rid of high network usage charge een thou I use EVDO. (I only used it on my mobile). when I asked CC, they said, it is default that rWorld (Network usage) charges are applicable to CDMA. if I use like this, then monthly I get RS 30K bill.

have a look at the second review on ths page frm "JerFer".He has mentioned that dialing *#data# open a "secret"menu whr we can do all the settings.I request u all to try it out and let us all know,if possible post a pic I tried the above code, but it only opened " MMS Domestic Settings" nothing else. any other codes??

Hi, I have newly purchased Samsung Galaxy POP CDMA on 11-October-2011. I got OMH SIM for rs 25 on same day got it activated immedietly. after inserting OMH card, phone is showing two signals, top one is showing as "EV" and below it is "1x" can anyone know or explain what this "EV" signal means??

If I go for Mobile Internet pack 299 - Unlimited, I cannot use that to access Internet on Computer right?? and if I go for Data Cable plans, i.e: 5 GB, 10GB or 15 GB, I can use it on Computer... So can the Data Cable plans be used on mobile too when away from computer??

I know "EV" means EVDO, but without activation, why it is showing EV? Because, I called up Reliance HSD department, and they said "EVDO" is not active in my handset.

First of all, Reliance is not updating there website regularly. and I do not know why they charge so high to use Netconnect + on mobile which support EVDO 3.1 MBPS. this is totaly not fair. they give same Netconnect Broadband + plans which are applicable with data card to these kind of mobiles. because of their Diplomatic dealings, they are loosing customers.. Amit, I tried to configure these APN settings, but after configuring I am not able to switch to that setting, it stays on OMH. I am using "Galaxy POP CDMA" any Idea on this?? I can see lot of setting inside it other than username and password. Waiting for you reply. To get the EVDO activated, we need OMH card, we have to approach Reliance Web World, to get this card. Yesterday I got OMH card for25/- only. and they activated it immedietly. Ok, Here you go, when you come to OMH Screen, press left button, then you will see two options "New APN" and "Reset to default", then select "New APN" and enter appropriate settings. Hope this will help you, "This is for Samsung Galaxy POP CDMA"

This is a good news, and also we should talk to them and make them reduce the plan rates, the current plan rates are too high, not affordable by everyone. there should be some plan like 99 rupees, 4 GB (Browsing+Download) for 30 days with speed of 144KBPS, and EVDO plans should be same as Reliance Netconnect+ plans, then Reliance can have more customers and also they should expand and strengthen their network in villages so that most of the Indians should get the oppprtunity to use the Internet at the affordable price (As Dhirubhai Ambani had a big plan of low rate service).. Hope we expect some Positive action from Reliance... They can become NO 1, if they do the above........

The only survival for CDMA is, cut the prices and provide more coverage....

But why Reliance is not making it public, and allow customers to directly get these plans enabled from Reliance Web World or Customer Care??? and more over, why they have kept the prices soo high???? we are getting EDGE connection at 99 rupees for 4 GB, but here 99 Rupees only for browsing??? why Reliance is looting like this?? they want to loose customers?? or they want to harrash their customers??? And why dont they give same Reliance Netconnect+ plans to these EVDO capable phone?? what's their loss, they will get same money.... HI Amit, is there any update on new reduced tariffs for EVDO users, because the tarrifs what they are offering are too costly.. for 1x speed, its toooooo much costly... atleaset they can provide same Netconnect+ plans to EVDO users then it will be better and many can go for it... Please let me know some positive updates.... or let me know with whom I can talk to reagarding this in Reliance... thanks
