Big Fight - Windows Phone 7.5 Mango V/s Android V2.3 Gingerbread
omk4r replied to parin's topic in Android
Paid Review. Review does not even touch multitasking properly, he is only showing us the greens of WP7 But he pointed out a good thing, you seriously need horsepower to enjoy the Android Lag issues are imminent even on the Galaxy s (ICS may well change that) I cant stress how much the battery life s**ks on my friends Arc. Not even a complete day if you use it. -

Kapil Sibal along with Arindam Chaudhuri are mad men..They talk S**T and spread it faster than speed of light itself One should really see Arindham's views on Internet, so pathetic and conservative and so not acceptable, I almost go into a mad rage, seeing his face Govt. trying very best to take heat off its *** set by the Lokpal and corruption allegations.

Irresistable Deals In Electronics, Gadgets, Mobiles, PC Hardware
omk4r replied to rajanmehta's topic in General Technical Discussion
^Thanks Rajan I have read the feedbacks of all sellers and I can trust them fully. I also contacted a seller and was just on the verge of buying it, Problem lies with me. I am going to use nearly to two years(definitely less than 2 years), and I am not a very good handler of gadgets. My previous mobile has its screen replaced twice because of breaking it. SII's US version is not same as indian version and getting spares and finding a compatible man to fix it is beyond my reach. In short I don't have the resources to fix things if something goes awry. Its not the warranty that I care about but the spares (if something goes wrong) Definitely after 2 years when I will start to earn myself I guarantee you will see a woot! mobile with Reliance CDMA bought here from the awesome sellers- 6,376 replies

Samsung Galaxy Note - Writing The Next Chapter Of The Mobile Industry
omk4r replied to rajanmehta's topic in Other handsets
That's encouraging, Samsung Is treating India as a potential market and launching products on par with other countries. Motorola, time to take Notes. (I guess they have already started, Razr is shown as coming soon on moto India too) -
any solutions available?
-
moto should had either done it before or some days after the nexus I loved the wasy the razer looks, but still no match for the ICS ladden nexus with the beautiful HD display. bad strategy for a handset with sheer beauty, the M logo at the back and the capacitive buttons SHOULD have the neon blue lighting to be called as razer tough

I don't understand what's the big deal with siri? its not a new concept, not even revolutionary. Speech to text is like there from years, all siri is doing is finding the key words, make sense of it by using markers (I guess) and all you can do is set some reminders get weather and nearby restaurants, or just search. Its like cutting a step between translating speech to text and hitting search, siri will hit the search button for you, with a voice over of course engadget and others projecting it as "game changer" well I fail to find it as one

I liked the peoples app
-
they have kept the goodies for the SIII but that doesn't makes nexus any less significant. The processing power is good enuff, the s2 may rule, but hardware is not the point. Look how amazing the screen will be! 316 ppi on a 4.65"! Now that's awesome. The cam is disappointing tough.

Its not just the product that many dislike its the general attitude of the company. For those who own and swear by it are mostly unaware of it policies, and the crap apple is playing in the market not leaving even thin air for competition. suing everybody and the others returning the favor, check the spoiler for more info, source wiki. I hate it treating India as a dumping ground, and the dump has been glorified 1000000 times. Rajan has put it wonderfully. Choice is what the world demands now. and I find it missing at apple. Value for money? No way!

yet to own a droid yet but I had my time with the galaxy s/evo4g for a week sense, touchwiz . choice we have Choice of handset being the largest factor for me (I like BIG screens, my next purchase will be >=4.0" for sure) Custom roms (its what I will be doing most of the time when i will actually own 1, trying out different custom flavors) I have a bad habit of not charging the phone frequently..........(not for everyone but it is a must for me) Bluetooth woes (tough apps solve problem, I just HATED it to the core at first) Apple has some of the best customer support and the iNsurance is just great I am not blaming it, apple had a great plan and they executed it with excellence but it is not what I like (personal choice) I read somewhere about ios - less choice less confusion, but i prefer it the other way.
-
iUser and a Droid users are very different people all together. It also has to do something what you call as freedom Those people who like things in their control and don't want to stay restricted will prefer the droid Those people who don't give a damn about what restrictions they are put through and just want to do basic stuff will like the iPhone I had my chance of having iphone for quite some time. At first I liked it but slowly i felt barred I had to do things the iWay there was no choice.

PowerVR sgx series seems to best everywhere. But soon, may be the Next Nexus will blow away those specs, but currently I am jelly One more advantage the iCrowd have here is that they will get the games having that level of eve candy using the graphic power to the fullest will be available soon Whereas in android due to the wide range of hardware we will have to wait to saturate the hardware that is provided even with the single core offerings

Conversion To Prepaid / Corporate After MNP
omk4r replied to Saurav's topic in Mobile Number Portability (MNP)
Yup as he pointed out, I am a engg student using corporate plan, just find the right person at the right outlet (it may take some time) and they will do the rest for you, and yes they don't demand for favor, if they do just skip, you have got the wrong person. -
National Telecom Policy 2011 - No More Roaming Charges!
omk4r replied to SumitVerma's topic in Indian Telecom / General News
some say they are even talking about increasing gprs speed is it true? Whatever the politicians say doesn't even matter, in near future its the private companies which will frame the policies for the govt to implement and this is not too far it has already started, if its less profitable bags will be transferred and the draft will be unheard of again. -
Jargon Buster : Mobile Phone Terminology
omk4r replied to Karthik R's topic in General Technical Discussion
This really helped. -
If only could the battery tech could improve with these speeds. That's what holding things back but as digitalnirvana pointed out we need the utility and good user experience, and truly apple cracked the code here (not a fanboi) the user interface feels intuitive and simple. Yes it restricted and all but how may people do root their android devices the en masse is not geek/nerd we may root our phones overclock them to get max but more people are there who would just not care about all this
-
Please elaborate on the display area, many will be skeptic about it, I have not read well about the display in the x2 and the same tech is being used here just curious!
-
Please consider city2's advice, if there is pain please make a point to check it these things hurt more in the long run You can try your hands on a capacitive as one needs just a tap of a finger than a press of a button so hands can be relaxed try it on any friends handset for speed tough QWERTY is QWERTY The BB might be just your thing
