I doubt, if PPOBox are involved in this. Most likely the seller or USPS. If as you say the seller is legit, it`s most likely USPS.

What is the feedback score of the seller based on sales? Having 100% feedback in nothing on eBay, if all are buyer related feedback. When was item delivered to their NY hub? What kind of USPS service was used? I was taking about seller feedback only. If it were only buyer related feedback, I would not have suspected anyone but the seller. USPS Priority shipping with $50 insurance was used. Item was delivered on 2nd Jan 2014, but they mailed me pics only yesterday. I might be wrong, but you should`ve opened a Buyer Protection case earlier on eBay. They take a dim view, as you`ve opened a case nearly two weeks after the item was delivered. I had a similar case last year. But, in that case it was delivered by USPS to SnS. Item was missing from the package. eBay asked me to file a case with my local law enforcement and fax the complaint to them. SnS could not do that. I doubt PPOBox will help you in doing that. Your best option is to file a chargeback with your Credit card. But, wait till for your eBay Buyer Protection case to pan out.

One of my packages shipped by FedEx ( Weight: 1.8lbs ) was delivered to SnS today. They have assessed the weight as 2.21lbs. Are they deliberately doing this to push the shipping cost? 2.21lbs is 1002 grams, which is very fishy! Have sent a strongly worded e-mail to Hassan. Has anyone experienced this?

No bro, pls don't opt for comGateway(although the fault is not with them), but because they only use DHL & FedEx, which both of them rip you off(I had a horrific experience with DHL, which you can read in this thread only and other member complained about FedEx too couple of pages back, pls read that). Unless, you have some free money laying around & don't know what to do with it and just want to donate to poor customs officials... lol, yeah then you can proceed with the above combination. Otherwise just stay way at least for now. Hmm. Thanks for your suggestion bro and your experience really makes me scared now. Will keep this is mind in future. However, I have been using HSG for quite sometime now and touch wood haven't had any bad experience with them. I like them for their quick shipping and delivery so I get my phones in 5 days. For me the shipments get cleared from Bangalore customs as they ship directly without and re-routing. Maybe that might be working for me. So, nothing can be done here? We all know that duty should be 7% or is it based on custom officer? Aren't there any guidelines that can be referred to build a case here? This can happen to any of us and after this PPObox problem this really makes us scared. Me thinks everyone should stay clear of PPOBox for a while. I understand the amount charged as fine. But, why is the customs charged so high? Was the item used?

My package has also cleared customs. Tax charged was approx 7% of declared value. I had provided Original Seller invoice and Payment details.

In my case, it was delivered last monday on 30th December to Mr.Kuniyl. But still there is no email from them that they have received the item. Is it gonna show up as received, the day they ship it for India? Most likely. A lot of packages are held up in NY. I can confirm that KUNIYL works for them. He/She has signed a lot of my UPS packages.

Yes. USA offices are also closed on Saturdays. Alright. Thanx The worst thing about them is that they don't update the status of item received. Atleast they should update it as soon as they get it in their NY office so that customer wont have to worry about their item if it reached to them or not. Unlike SnS, PPOBox updates you only after they forward the item in India. Don`t know why!

Send an e-mail to support@ppobox.com They`ll confirm, if it was delivered or not. Ya I did it already and even to Sanjay but no confirmation yet. I even tried calling the NewYork phone number but they were not ready to help. And no one picks up the mumbai number. It was delivered to someone named KUNIYL by UPS in their office. KUNIYL is one of their staff in NY. Most of my UPS packages are signed by him.

Did your valuation meet the invoice amount for the second shipment? I think they`re checking very strictly not regarding valuation

You might be lucky. You can always get it shipped to a SnS hub in New York. People that got their items sent for clearance should be worried. It seems many have severely undervalued their packages

PPOBox have sent me invoice for one package shipped from NY on the 23rd Dec. Customs charged looks OK. Still waiting for another shipment dispatched on the 24th Dec.
