ANOTHER BUG... 1. Goto "Organize -> Folder & Search Options". 2. In "View" tab, enable "Show hidden files and folders" option and disable "Hide protected operating system files (Recommended)" option. 3. Now check the Desktop, u'll get 2 "desktop.ini" files on desktop. Now first thing wth there are 2 desktop.ini files? I came to know that 1 file is for current user and 1 for all users profile. Ok, but why these files are shown on desktop after enabling/disabling above mentioned options? In earlier versions of windows (like XP) no such file was shown on desktop even the file exists in desktop folder, but it was not used to show on desktop. It was a good feature. But in Vista, it looks so annoying. Many users like me enable "show hidden files/folders" option and disable the option "hide protected system files". But if we do so, then desktop starts showing those 2 ugly files. I want a clean desktop, as clean as possible. So its too annoying... And if u delete the files, they'll re appear after restart. So its definitely another BUG in Vista...

Yes. Its a feature in CDMA phones. When ther is no data transfer, phone automatically goes into Dormancy so that u can get in coming calls in that period. But sometimes it become annoying, to prevent the phone from dormancy mode u can use "PING" command. PING -t any site URL e.g., Ping -t www.yahoo.com I'll prefer to use following command: Ping -t 202.138.96.2

Since a few months I'm also getting very poor speed on RConnect. In daytime can't download anything, speed goes down as soon as I start d/l ing. But after midnight I get approx. 17 KBps d/l speed. I'm also thinking to surrender my reliance phone and go for a data card for my laptop. So I'll keep an eye on this thread.

Purchase a USB cable from market and then u'll be able to connect the phone to ur laptop. And yes u can use the phone on both desktop as well as ur laptop. U can use the Net connect CD to install the drivers in ur laptop. If the CD doesnt contain the required drivers, then u can download them from net.

Netbooster is completely useless. I used it and found no change in speed. In fact the quality of images in webpages went down coz it tries to show images with lower quality to speed up the page loading. IMO its crap. And now-a-days the speed is worst. The speed becomes good after midnight.....

Guys! There r many tips & tricks, tweaks & a lot of hidden secrets for Windows. So in this thread we can post the tweaks and other things, that we know and that can be useful to other members! Here I'm posting one trick to add Copy To and Move to in Context menu, when we right-click on any file or folder in Windows. ADDING COPY TO & MOVE TO IN CONTEXT MENU To add Copy to... and Move to... context menu options, Click on Start->Run and type Regedit, and goto HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\AllFilesystemObjects\shellex\ContextMenuHandlers\ Now create two new keys: Copy To , set the default value to {C2FBB630-2971-11d1-A18C-00C04FD75D13} Move To , set the default value to {C2FBB631-2971-11d1-A18C-00C04FD75D13} Now when you right click on a file or folder, above the send to option there are two new options: Copy to Folder and Move to Folder You can copy or move files or directories to other folders with this. and for those, who r unfamiliar to Registry, I'm attaching a file. First extract the file then u hv to only double-click on the extracted REG file and when it ask R u sure....., then click on Yes and then OK. That's it!
