  4. VoiceSignal, the market share and technology leader for speech recognition applications on mobile devices, announced today the launch of its next-generation speech solution on the Samsung MM-A700 wireless phone, available on the Sprint Network. The VoiceSignal software is the world's first one-command voice interface for dialing and launching applications on a phone. This new one-command capability makes it easy for the user to access Sprint's exciting new multimedia features on the MM-A700 streaming video phone. As with all other VoiceSignal applications, it is speaker independent, meaning that the consumer can use it right out of the box, without any training.
  5. Firmware Upgradation

Hey raccoon PRL is not related to the s/w version. It is related to Roaming. PRL => Preferred Roaming List. Preferred Roaming List. A list of SID's kept inside a phone to permit roaming on other wireless networks. A service provider may set up roaming agreements with other service providers in different geographic regions and the PRL will try to locate one of these service providers' networks first when the home service provider is unavailable. PRL's do change so it's a good idea to ask for a PRL upgrade every 6 months or so if you do a lot of roaming outside your home service area. So Dont think that ur s/w version is not the latest.

Hi guys! Few days ago i faced a strange problem in my Nokia 2100 handset. It was restarting automatically. I asked the dealer to solve this problem. He typed some codes on the set but i could not see what he was typing. and after that the phone never restarted automatically. when i asked him what he did he told me that he resetted the s/w of phone by typing some service code. can anyone tell me what was that code? Note that i am talking about GSM phone not CDMA.

I think u didnt read my following post: http://www.rimweb.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=1560 use 6278 ( master code ) as four digit lock code. This code will definitely work whether u specified any other code as security code.

  21. LG LSP 340E Secret Service Menu

Guys! I found 8 options in FWP Service Menu: 1. VERSION 2. SELECT NAM 3. Auto NAM 4. FIELD SERVICE 5. Set Service 6. DM/DS SET 7. THE OTHERS 8. New Lock Code 1. VERSION shows s/w version, PRL and other things. 2. SELECT NAM lets u to change between NAM #1 and NAM #2. I changed NAM #1 to NAM #2, then FWP didnt detect any network signal. 3. Auto NAM lets u to On or Off the setting. Default is Off. I changed it to On but nothing happened. 4. FIELD SERVICE shows following 5 options: a.) Test Screen b.) Test Call c.) Error List d.) Clear Error e.) Data Test Scrn a.),b.), and e.) options are to test settings of screen, call and data screen respectively.(Nothing special). c.) option displays some data from 00 to 19. d.) option Lets u to clear Error log that c) option displays. 5. Language option lets u to change language between English, Poetuguese, Spanish. d.) Banner option is set to Off by default. If u change this option to On, then the phone will display Reliance logo instead of Date. e.) QNC is Enable by default. f.) OVERLAP option lets u to change between ENBLOCK, NO_LE_NO_TONE, LE_NO_TONE_OFF, LE_TONE_OFF. Default is ENBLOCK. I changed the setting to rest of them but after changing to all i was not able to dial any number. g.) PCO option is for PCO owner. It is set to VOICE by default. I changed it to PCO, then an extra option Metering Info is added into Security settings to check call unit, call time, etc. h.) MODE option lets u to change between Slotted and Non Slotted. Default is Slotted. 8. New Lock Code is same as <Menu>+4+6. It lets u to change lock code. ENJOY!!!
  22. LG LSP 340E Secret Service Menu

U can know ur 6-digit lock code by reading FWP File System as i mentioned here: http://www.rimweb.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=656&st=0&
  23. Success! LG LSP 340E & Bitpim

In FWP file system there are some useful files that contain certain useful information. I am telling u name of such files: /->nvm->nvm->nvm_0001 ::-> I think this file contains Phone book of FWP. I found name of persons in this file that i've stored in my phone. /->nvm->nvm->nvm_0002 ::-> This file is very useful. U can find the 4-digit security lock code here in 8th line and 6-digit Field test lock code (required to enter in field test mode after pressing <Menu>+0 ) in 9th line. Thats it. I found nothing else important in FWP file system.
  24. Success! LG LSP 340E & Bitpim

Guys! Now I tell u how i did it? Whenever i tried to detect FWP with bitpim, it always gave following error: "The phone is not responding while transitioning mode from none to brew." So an idea came in my mind to change phone mode with the help of uniCDMA and then again try with bitpim. So i convert phone into DM mode with the help of uniCDMA and then tried with bitpim again. and SUCCESS!!! So the steps to read file system of FWP with the help of bitpim are: 1. First open LGKDP to detect FWP. 2. Now close it and open uniCDMA and click on HF->DM button. 3. Now close uniCDMA and open bitpim, select phone type to anyone because i tried almost every type and all worked, now expand file system. Now u can successfully browse through file system.
