  1. The gargoyle suggests the BlackBerry Curve 8520 for you.
  2. The easiest way is to approach any private investigating agency in your city. People usually use them to track down addresses from a mobile number (somewhat illegal but can be done for a fee, and quicker than approaching a telco....you have to go through a number of forms and wait an eterenity). They can as well do a reverse look up using your name and DOB. I'm just not sure about their asking rates...
  3. Just saw this interesting post on the clones that our brothers from the North of our border manufacture ... A list of impressive smartphone knock-offs that originate from our friendly neighbours across the Himalayas. http://www.techtree....campaign=ttnews
  4. CDMA Handset Choices in India

You can get very good options for your price range with this forum or ebay. Most of the sellers of this community are also on ebay but I would recommend you make your purchases from here, preferably from the "Reputed Sellers". You will have moderators, with eagle eyes, checking the progress of your transactions Once you select the phone you intend to purchase, check out what others are saying about it @ www.rimweb.in/forums/forum/84-cdma-handset-discussion The caveat is that you will not get any service warranty with this handsets...but believe you me, you will hardly require one!! In case of an emergency, you can get any spare you may require, again from the members of this forum. Here's all the very best to your next phone
  5. The RIMweb Google+ / Facebook / Twitter Thread

An official Twitter handle sounds good. Lets get this done
  6. Please suggest a Tablet to buy

This is an interesting question. Ross Catanzariti of PC World calls it a draw but leans towards Asus. Check out his head-to-head review below: http://www.pcworld.idg.com.au/article/419044/apple_new_ipad_vs_asus_eee_pad_transformer_prime_tablet_comparison/
  7. Poor Earpiece Volume on my Nokia C3 Handset

You've answered your question, my friend. Trust the local mobile repairshop guy. He did his magic for your LG handset, didn't he?
  8. Android-Outlook Syncronization

The Sony Ericsson discussion forum can help you on this. The following thread may address your problem. http://talk.sonyericsson.com/thread/24544
  9. Please suggest Dual SIM CDMA+GSM handset

    http://www.ubergizmo.com/2011/12/samsung-galaxy-s2-duos-lands-in-china/
  10. Please suggest Dual SIM CDMA+GSM handset

If you can tone down your expectations, Samsung W259 with dual-active GSM CDMA mode, is a good handset to have. http://www.gsmarena.com/samsung_w259_duos-3463.php
  11. HTC EVO Design Review

How is the earpiece speaker volume in your handset? There have been some concerns about this issue.
  12. You answered yourself buddy. Go for RCOM. There is a different thread going around with antivirus suggestions. Check that out too.
  13. More details on this can be availed from the following link. Love or hate Apple, they always manage to "surprise" the customer. I guess Steven Paul Jobs is still alive in the product pipeline. http://www.apple.com/appletv/
  14. Seems someone else is also biting the Apple other than Samsung!!
  15. Dual Sim Motorola Milestone XT 800

Is this handset still in circulation?
  16. Curious about the battery performance of these handsets. Request update from actual users on this.
  17. A 64K SIM improves your connectivity experience. It has more space for "network identifiers". For example, if you do a manual network search on your handset, you will find a number of networks found by the hardware besides your subscribed one. This essentially comes in handy when you are in a roaming mode.
  18. The Gargoyle ordains "joshm" in the Holy Order of Samsung Fascinate as the Chief Priest and Fascinator. May his tribe increase.
  19. My suggestions are not stereo blue-tooth headsets. They are just great gear when you are in a windy, noisy situation (of course, not driving). I've personally tried out both headsets and they have performed really well with the cell conversation well heard at both ends. For the Gargoyle, that's the main KRA for a wireless headset.
  20. Okay...if you are not driving, you can consider Plantronics M100. It has wind noise reduction and echo cancellation and comes within 3K. If you wanna splurge, the Gargoyle suggests BlueAnt Q2 voice controlled headset.
  21. Best Network In Delhi?

The Gargoyle prefers Vodafone for Delhi. Less number of call drops vis-a-vis Airtel. Last time I was in the city, Airtel had a few "blackout" zones inside buildings.
  22. Intel vs AMD

Intel processor pricing is slightly over-the-top considering their brand positioning in the market. The Gargoyle thinks that AMD is just as good (better?) and delivers an equal punch for a lesser price. Select a machine with AMD. You will not go wrong even if you are the type computing weather forecasting in your laptop!
