Guys, Its time to Swtichover to BSNL Broadband. BSNL wishes its customers a very happy and prosperous New Year. The year 2007 begins with a bonanza for our broadband customers. With effect from 1st January 2007, we have decided to enhance the broadband speed from 256 Kbps to 2Mb, which is almost 8 times of the existing speed. All existing Broadband users will be automatically upgraded to 2Mb speed, subject to the technical feasibility. Data download limit has also been increased from 400Mb / 2GB to 1GB / 4GB for `Home 250’ and `Business 700’ Tariff Plans respectively. Even the per MB download rate has been reduced from Rs.1.40 per MB to 90 paisa per MB in the `Home 250 Plan’. The subscribers of `Home 250’ and `Business 700’ plans stand benefited by Rs.840.00 / Rs.2400.00 per month respectively. Data download limits have been enhanced for other tariff plans also. Year 2007 is going to witness a Broadband revolution as we have declared 2007 as “YEAR OF BROADBAND”. We intend to invest Rs.2000 Crore to strengthen our Broadband Infrastructure. Today our Broadband service is available in about 600 cities / towns. We plan to extend Broadband coverage to more than 1000 Cities / Towns and 20000 Villages over the next two years. During the year 2007, Broadband coverage will be provided to all Secondary / Higher Secondary Schools and all Public Health Centers. Gram Panchayats will be brought under Broadband map progressively by 2008. Our existing Broadband capacity of 1 Million ports is planned to be augmented by 5 million ports, out of which 1.8 million ports will be deployed in rural areas. We are in the process of launching Broadband access through Wi-Max technology in about 1000 Block Headquarters. Wi-Max is capable of offering Wireless Broadband Service in a radius of 20-25 Kilometers. You can look forward to launch of Triple Play Services and On-Line Gaming Services over Broadband during this year. We have a plan to increase our GSM capacity by 60 Million lines over the next two years. Location Based Services will be introduced for our mobile customers during January 2007 itself. Same here using 6235, its says some crap Movie preview but i think it will charged be carefull. But i m able to view unbilled info etc on Rworld.

Issue is resolved, i had set my VGA shared mem=16MB. Now after increasing it to 32MB in BIOS it's working fine. Regards, Neelesh

Thanks for your reply, Adding, the windows connection icon disappears and r connect dialer comes back in connect mode and hence i cannot browse any sites or download. But the on the phone its shows connected. i don't get any error message or else it would be helpful to troubleshoot. I m using R-connect since 2 1/2 yrs never faced this prb. Also, i have noticed when there is less n/w traffic or ilde i can run the MP and the connection won't drop as soon as i put anything for download or the traffic is high (128 to 144kbps) it disconnects. But i can run any dam application but not Video files (mpg) i did upgrade MP to ver10. dint' help. My sys config is AMD 64 3000xp, 256MB, A8NVM-asus 200GBHDD. Some times i wonder if this could be something to do with MEM, i m upgarding to 512 by next month lets me see then. Neelsin

Hi Guys, I m facing strange problem while i m connected to net via my Nokia 2112 CA-42, i connects successful everything works fine download/upload. i can stay connected for long hours. But as soon as i play some videos files on WMP or any other Media players., my internet connects drops without any reason, this i have noticed since past 1month. earlier it was working fine. But i show's connected on my phone. I did re-install the USB drives, tried changing the port number now i re-installed my OS fianlly (winxp sp2 with all updates) still problem persists. Have anyone come across this problem? Appreciate if anyone can respond! Cheers, Neelsin

The com port speed (baud rate) automatically adjusts to the modem's speed...115 kbps in LG & 230 in case of samsung...this is my own experience. I think the respective drivers take care of that. i have observed sometimes the download speeds bursts upto 230kbps. on average i get 128kbps to 144kbps was wondering is this because of baud rates?

I'm using Nokia 2112 and it gets connected at 230Kbps but please ref my attachment, i want to increase the USB com port(windows) speed equ to modem speed.

I think it depends on the modems capability.. When I was use LG (FWP as well as 6130), the port connection speed is 120kbps, but when but I use samsung A563, the speed is 230400bps. Well, my Nokia modem supports upto 230400bps. But i think there should be some tweak for this.

Does any one have any idea on how to increase to port baud rate to 230400bps in WINXP? When i was using Win98 i had option to increase to this level, but i don't see it in Winxp. Regards, Neelesh

Folks, Is there any software to upload/change ringtones on 2112? I tried with Nokia pc suite, i belive with this model one can only synchronise contacts & calender.

Can you get any screen shots from your friend? i dont think you can achive anything beyond 144kbps (18KB)
