Did you try registering on other networks? I mean do a manual network search and select Airtel/Vodafone.

^^Network going down is a ver very remote thing and happens very rarely. Its economical and better to be on Same operator even if you see technically. You never get a "Network Busy" message if both are on same network

5 lakh in a month!! WOW Tata Indicom took ages to reach this number.. Iam sure they will reach 5lak in a month even in Karnataka. Most of the places Docomo SIMs are not in Stock! This shows the power/advantage of GSM They will get much much more subscribers once MNP is started. So now they should concentrate on Network and should see that their networks won't be clogged!

Here is the GPRS test Speed: Download Speed: 170Kbps and Upload Speed: 100Kbps Ping Time ~650ms Browsing speed is awesome..this has the best browsing speed compared to: Airtel GSM Mobile Vodafone Tata Indicom CDMA Mobile Reliance GSM But then i guess there are hardly 10(can be much less than that) subscribers in our area! So we have to see how it fares when there are good amt of subscribers

Looks like there is some problem from their end with Dive in portal. Its says my handset is not compatible even if i try to download any game! Also did anyone notice that it has Live TV service provided by apalya! Though iam not a big fan of this 'Live TV' as we have to download the clip b4 we watch it! Its available free of cost now

I got a Tata Docomo Connection FULL SIGNAL throughout my house More details in few moments BTW that dealer told me that i was the FIRST customer!!! :) Don't know whether its in that area or what... UPDATE: Tried downloading the iChannel software but it says my handset is not compatible!!! But mine is Nokia N73 whic is a good old S60 phone! If this is not supported then what is supported?!

^^Exactly! I recently received an SMS on my Tata Indicom Mobile saying "Do you use any other landline or mobile of another company? If yes, send Y to XXXX to receive special offers" And the sender is "Retention1"!!! XXXX is some number which i don't remember. So in the coming months, we can expect much more good offers for existing customers also! iam sure Vodafone is going to loose many subscribers(me for sure) if they don't modify their GPRS tariffs..!

I called from Vodafone mobile and its working fine Its working from Tata Indicom Mobile also... I get that "Number is not valid" message when i call from my Airtel Landline!

But all these softwares( Seven, Profimail,etc) run only if we have POP(or Advanced Full GPRS) activated from our service provider..which is Rs.199 per month on Vodafone Is there any software which can work with normal GPRS..?

In Whatever technology they launch Wimax, ADSL...don't know why they are stuck with those stone age plans.... There hasn't been any reduction in Broadband tariffs since 2+ years.. Anyways where are they providing this Wimax service?

Well now Karnataka is the next state on their list..and iam sure they will launch the service here in 2 days.. Coz i have seen a ad of Tata Docomo("Why live in Past?") on the International Airport Road

What do you mean by "Existing Users"? Tata Docomo is launched yesterday itself! Please do not connect Tata Docomo with Tata Indicom. Both are completely different brands running on different technologies..

Iam least bothered even if they provide 100mbps.. What is the use if they provide 18mbps for Rs.10k/month and 10gb data transfer(Which is likely to happen)? They should provide some good offers like 1 mbps Unlimited for Rs.999 Seriously from past few years there were no changes in broadband tariffs at all..while mobile tariffs came down drastically..

I feel Bharti And Vodafone will be the biggest gainers!! Subscribers from small operators may move to these bigger players..and 3G will play a big role in this as we know only few operators will be able to get spectrum for offering 3G services..
