  1. R-connect Adventures

I absolutely agree with Jayant, I believe that more than improving on the technical aspects, Reliance should very much spent some sessions with their customer care cell so that they are trained professionally to address customer issues faster and with less harassment to the customers. Coming to Rconnect, I believe as far as on the move internet connection in India is concerned, Rconnect is pretty good. Jaideep

I purchased it a month back with Rs 1740/- from a Nokia Showroom.
  3. Ca-42 Data Cable For Nokia 3125

Hi Rajesh, You are absolutely right........even I faced the same issues with my cloned DKU-5 cable. After few weeks of intense R & D with that cloned cable, I finally came to the conclusion that the cloned cables can never give you a consistent Rconnect connection. I then purchased a original CA-42-Nokia. So, sharing my experience with all prospective RCONNECT users, please go for the original cable (any phone brand), and enjoy surfing uninteruppted, atleast I am doing that till now. Good Luck Jaideep

  8. I have a nokia 2112 CDMA pre-paid reliance mobile set and I am tried to connect to the internet through RCONNECT using a DKU-5 cable. The DKU-5 cable is a cheaper one, not the original nokia one, and it installs a driver called Kingsun USB. The modem is being detected using the query modem option, but when I try to connect, after few minutes the message 0721:REMOTE PPP PEER IS NOT RESPONDING appears. I have tried it with XP, 2000 professional and 2000 server but the problem persists. Please help me find out the problem and the solution. Kindly update me whether the error 721 : Remote PPP peer is not responding is an error from the user side or the ISP(Reliance) side.
  9. Rconnect Error 721: Ppp Peer Not Responding

Hi all I have finally discovered that the cable I was using was not an original one and I got an original NOKIA CA-42 cable, and Rconnect is working fine now. Thanks to all for your suggestions Luv
  10. Rconnect Error 721: Ppp Peer Not Responding

Thanks Guys for your replies !! I have installed PC Suite 6.41 for XP but the PC suite is not recognising the mobile set. Is it because the cable DKU-5 is a cheaper one. Shall I get a original DKU-5 cable from Nokia, I found that the cable the reliance guys are providing is exactly the same as the one which I have. My cable is labelled Made in CHINA. If the cable is a faulty one, then how come XP detects the modem.
