  1. If you have root access, then you need to delete a file, go to data/data/com.Android.providers.telephony/database/"telephony.db" -> this file, delete it and reboot. This should reset all network settings present in the phone. Not sure if this will work.

    HTC M8 cdma sim works without data even on NV mode, maybe thats why data is not working, change mode to RUIM.pref
  4. Put the sim on a old phone and activate it using *228, or take the sim to Webworld and ask them to activate it for you. Only flashing firmware puts the phone into stock state and in NV mode.
  5. Source: Xda-developers Requirements Baseband should be on MDL or MDC If you are on MF9 then you have to downgrade either MDL or MDC baseband. Donwload MDC modem. Use the downloaded MDC file and flash it with Odin to your Phone. Once flashed check if your baseband is MDC. Phone SPC/MSL code. Download SPCUtility.apk Run it, you gotta be online for this to work. Stock Dial ##3424# enter your SPC/MSL and put the phone into DM + MDM + ADB mode. BE SURE TO SET BACK MTP+ADB ONCE EVERYTHING IS DONE. AOSP Connect phone to computer, Enable Debugging in Developer Options. Open command prompt/terminal, Enter adb shell, Type su and press enter, type setprop sys.usb.config diag,acm,adb then hit enter. This mode disables itself after reboot. Download S4-Unlocker this oneclick is developed by meanngreen04 from XDA, be sure to thank him. Password for zip file meanngreen04 Download .net 4.5, this is required for the one click to work. Assuming that your phone is still connected the computer run the S4 unlocker and click on Scan and Unlock. Your phone should reboot, thats it now your phone is unlocked for GSM You can revert back to MF9 baseband again using this modem PLEASE DONATE TO AUTOPRIME from XDA, all credits go to him. even 5$ is something. please do DONATE to him. i have donated.

    Reset the phone, you can use the 1 sec gap in between the crash. Or boot to recovery try to clear cache and dalvic, if this does not work then use recovery to reset, data Will be lost.

    You can't updated if your phone is rooted. Yes you will lose SIM unlock, but you can unlock a again.

    GSM Clean Unlock with Wi-FI Tether for ZVD Backup all the files you want from the phone as this requires a complete stock state. Flash ZVD using LG Flash tool, or ZVC if you dont happen to have ZVD, and let the phone update to ZVD, Please do not update the phone to ZVE as the update only improves performance for SPRINT customers and we have not use of that update. Change mode to RUIM.Pref using DFS Root the phone using the ioroot from here. Once rooted install Root Explorer. Download carrier.rar it and copy the carrier.rar to your phones sd card. Install Rar on to your phone and unrar the carrier folder, do not go inside the folder and extract, make sure you extract the whole carrier folder, now run Root Explorer and copy the extracted carrier folder and paste it in root of the phone, it will prompt you that the file system is read only, do you wish to change mode to read and write, select yes and proceed, it will again prompt you if you want the carrier folder to be replaced, select yes, once copied change permission of the carrier folder as shown below in the pic. Delete telephony.db file from /data/data/com.adroid.settings.telephony/database/"telephony.db" --> this file. reboot your phone. Install Rom Toolbox Lite and use the build.prop editor and search ro.build.target_operator, change value from "SPR" to "spr" without quotes and reboot the phone, now install Radio Switcher, run it and change mode to GSM auto (PRL), reboot. Now change value of ro.build.target_operator=spr to SPR and SWITCH off the phone, pop in your GSM sim and switch on your phone. Thats it. For Activate phone bypass rename OmaDmclient.apk and OmaDMclient.odex to OmaDmclient.apk.bak and OmaDMclient.odex.bak respectively. Now GSM data will work with WIFI Tether. CDMA only Voice and SMS. for cdma data you have to change the ro.build.tyarget_operator=SPR to spr, but you need to dial 0 before any number else the phone dialer will crash and no wifi tether for this hack. Hope this helps.

    With S-on, even if you replace the patched apk, your system reverts back to the original file after the reboot. Flash TWRP, copy the required file(patched Sprint apk) on to your sdcard, reboot to twrp, mount system, got to file manager and copy the patched Sprint apk and paste it in system/app/, before doing this backup the original file first. Once the file is copied, reboot the phone and run the vipers HTC ONE SIM unlock helper and follow steps mentioned in the OP. Sent from my LGLS990 using Tapatalk

Requirements Root Access APN names of your GSM provider After you unlock the phone follow the steps mentioned below 1 Use root explorer or any other file explorer and get to system/build.prop 2 Click and hold till you get a popup menu, select open with Text Editor (when you do this superuser will ask you to grant permissions, click yes, you will get one more popmenu from the phone saying "the current file system is read only do you want to remount as read-write and continue the operation" CLICK YES. 3 scroll to the end of build.prop and add to lines mentioned below ril.sales_code=LOL ro.csc.sales_code=LOL 4 click the MENU button which is one the left side of PHONE HOME button, choose "Save and Exit" 5 Reboot the phone. 5 goto https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=ex.chinyang.android.xshortcut install the xShortcut app 6 run xShorcut app and click on EDIT your SHORTCUT 7 Add the following line in the respective fields Shortcut Name and Icon: Put any name you want here. You can also select an icon. Target Component Package: com.samsung.syncservice Target Component Class: com.samsung.syncservice.dm.hiddenmenu.OMADMHiddenMenu 8 click on OK button, you should have a shortcut on one of your screen like shown below. 9 click on it and run it. it should get you into Samsung DM Services menu 10 select APNs 11 press the MENU button which on the left side of you PHONE HOME button. 12 select + New APN, under NAME type whatever you want(ex Airtel or Idea or whichever you are using) under APN type the Access Point Name of your provider(ex airtelgprs,com for Airtel, Idea_Karnataka gprs for Idea in my state. 13 click on MENU button which is left side of PHONE HOME button and click save. Remember not to set anything else. you can add multiple APNS for different service providers. 14 dial ##3282# and enter your MSL and click on EDIT/OTHER/LET APN SETTINGS, all of your APN names which you have saved SHOULD be therem if its not there redo everything from step 10. It might just show only one APN name, thats because you have a SIM in the slot, if you have a SIM in the slot, it will show the APN of that provider only. 15 select which ever APN you want as per your service provider, you are good to go, 16 goto build.prop again and add # in front of the 2 lines you added earlier. #ril.sales_code=LOL #ro.csc.sales_code=LOL 17 reboot. 18 change from cdma mode to gsm/utms mode, data should work now. How to switch between CDMA/GSM mode in a sec without reboot 1 goto https://play.google.com/store/search?q=Telinfo&c=apps and install TELINFO 2 Run TelInfo and select Device Information 3 Scroll down and select "set preferred network type" 4 select CDMA auto (PRL) when you want Reliance, select GSM auto (PRL) when you want GSM. I request all to please update any information about the mentioned subject here. This is in best interested of both buyers/sellers. Recently I came across a kid who just would not be satisfied with any answer. Is it legal to sell a working CDMA handset as GSM(LOCKED by carrier but unlocked by some hack) Don't know how many deal with BAD ESN phones here. Law for buying/selling/using BAD ESN devices.
