Yes, main balance is intact. I don't trust Reliance, that's why have Rs. 2.5 in main balance, thankfully Reliance is not interested to take that as of now.
-
Another strange thing, used 2G & 3G (on Aircel) data for around 50 MB but data balance remains at 9216 MB. Still not be able to latch on their 4G network.
-
Thanks @ajay16 for noticing this, I also received. I think, that's the post LTE migration benefit. Probably RCOM means post-migration is conversion from CDMA to LTE, not when we start to use 4G.
-
How did you check data balance? USSD, Self Care App or any other way? SIM Latching to Reliance 4G? checked after getting 9GB data? By the way, 92160 MB is equal to 90 GB
-
I think they will allow the conversion to Prepaid. No one can force you to stick to Postpaid without your wish but RCOM's approach is very unethical, that's the saddest part. You can argue that you are no longer required Rs. 1000+ plan, either show alternative low rental plan or switch to prepaid.
-
You can try to move to Prepaid first then after 90 days switch operator via MNP. In this way you can save monthly rental and your number too.

No, I don't think using Tata Docomo network will incur any roaming charges. Here in UP East, RGSM is very bad in coverage and unstable. Most of the time it latches to Aircel network which is slightly better than RGSM, using it for making voice calls & data, since CDMA to 4G migration and no roaming charges were taken.

RCOM 4G is live in Varanasi, Allahabad & most likely in Lucknow & Kanpur also from last couple of days but couldn't latch using CDMA to LTE migrated SIM. Don't know about WiPods are started working. If any one has any further information, please share.

I am using LYF Flame1, bought under Jio Preview offer.

Reliance 4G Network is now live in Varanasi, UP East. But unable to latch.
-
While making a call, check if network is falling back to 2G or 3G to complete the call or while receiving call, does network latch back to 2G or 3G from 4G? Secondly, if you have VoLTE Phone, the call will go through without any 2G/3G fall back.
-
You are latched to Aircel's 3G network, in UPE RCOM has tied up with Aircel to provide 3G under ICRA. Speed it very slow, Aircel's network is equally bad as RGSM.
-
Hi! RSN is not the OMH SIM number, it is the serial number of your CDMA phone. Most likely it is mentioned in the back side or below the battery chamber. Use that number along with your CDMA number to register your new 4G Sim for migration at RCOM website.

Reliance CDMA is shutting down on 31st May in UP East circle.

Indeed BSNL CDMA is very good option but coverage is not upto the mark, relatively less towers than their GSM service as per my experience. Few years ago BSNL gave CDMA handsets to their field staffs (lineman etc.) for communication, sadly all returned back due lack of coverage. Secondly, it is very hard to find proper plan, stv etc. online. Online recharge site e.g., Paytm, Freecharge, some time work and some time don't. BSNL yet to integrate CDMA recharge service to their recharge/bill payment portal. I have used TATA CDMA and ended up getting negative balance. Customer care told that their prepaid billing system is laggy.

Check this page: http://www.rcom.co.in/Rcom/personal/4G/4G_overview.html

I'm also got the SIM on 25th & registered on the spot but no activation yet in UP East.
-
Rcom 4G SIMs are not activated any where. I guess, as soon as it does, forum will be full of speed tests, reviews etc.

Samsung's radios are quite low in catching signals. Performs okay if you are in good coverage areas otherwise calls drops or no network in mid/low coverage zones. Motorola phones are better option in my opinion as well. Samsung phones have good re-sale values. If you wish to change phone often then getting a Samsung phone is okay.

Same here in Varanasi also, asking for Rs. 300/- for 4G SIM, Rs. 97/- FRC benefits are - Unlimited RCom Local & STD, 150 Min to others, 1GB EVDO data for 30 days (pre-4G activation), and post 4G activation - 10GB 4G data, 1GB 2G/3G data, Unlimited RCom, 150 Mins others. Reliance Store/WW people are trying to earn some extra cash as people are not much aware of 4G up-gradation & official website doesn't have any information.
-
@ranpeet Seems like you have a postpaid connection, then probably you will receive your 4G SIM by courier as posted by @abhi.r in following thread: http://www.rimweb.in/forums/topic/37711-reliance-cdma-network-upgrade-to-4g-lte/page-13#entry325599

@sunilromy any information, when the 4G SIM will be activated or it is already activated? In UP East circle, retailer said 4G SIM will be activated in next 2 days.

TATA Docomo CDMA Internet Data Setting & EVDO
abhi5819 replied to sunilromy's topic in Other Network / Cellular Providers
Keep Network mode to 'Auto'. Micromax 300C doesn't keep network when network mode is set to 'HSIA Only'. but balance reduced, in my case my balance goes -500 I m getting evdo in galaxy pop cdma but when I put the sim in the micromax 300c mode evdo network was not shown.Any idea? -
Great, your problem is fixed now. Most likely you are not getting full EVDO signal or 1x signal is much better than EVDO, so it shifts to 1x. Try changing your data card's position to catch better signal. Due to overloaded 1x network, I guess you are getting 678 error as modem couldn't make successful authorization. Try to connect in Off-peak hours. EVDO is not enabled by default in UPE or I guess in entire North zone of BSNL CDMA network. You need to contact BSNL to get EVDO activated to use internet. Username & password should be same '165'.

Sorry for the typing error, it is 'yourmobilenumber@pda.ttsl.in' e.g. username: 9208xxxxxx@@pda.ttsl.in password: internet Works fine with UP East circle's RUIM (Tata Docomo CDMA)
