Ok got this phone today, its on stock 4.1.2. Inserted the sim calls and sms working out of the box. Will follow you link to get it rooted and will follow this tutorial http://www.rimweb.in/forums/topic/34699-tutorial-android-setting-up-1xevdo-on-ruim-handsets-by-root-explorer/ to get data working.

Sorry for few noob questions, so by this we can enable reliance sim to work on jb using cdma workshop. If yes the can you tell how to do that, never used a ruim handset before.

This means this phone can only be used in ICS and can't be upgraded to jellybean.

For GPS you can try this Switch off all the location services in settings then go to dialer and dial*#*#GPSCLRX#*#* then enter your spc and it will clear the GPS data and may ask you to reboot. Download GPS STATUS from the market , enable location services and then open GPS status and wait for the. It can take upto 5 min for the lock. You can also clear the data through GPS status. It's A piece of garbage, multitasking is a pain and hangs up a lot. Plus its got battery life poorer than the EVO OG.

I can't seem to find Answering machine app on android, like the one on symbian phones. Is there any similar app.

Successfully flashed Evo following the tutorial, but same procedure doesn't seem to be working for LG Viper. When I dial *228 it shows out of service area, and also it doesn't restart after closing the CDMA workshop like the Evo did. Is anything different to done regarding LG Viper, its a LTE phone. Edit- Opened QPST and found that phone was connected in two ports, connected the phone in the other port and followed the procedure and it worked. Thanks rimweb for such a great tutorial. Edit- Need help when I dial *228 the call does not connect the timer shows 1 second and call gets disconnected, when I dial *22898 it asks to select language and after that it say "Sorry your phone could not be activated". Please help me out.
