Philips Launches 2 iPhone Killers Phillips has decided to officially bring out their 'iPhone killers' and add their names to a rather lengthy list of contenders for the title. Their handsets – the X800 and Xenium X-Connect are both Totally Touch Screen Mobiles. The X800 is equipped with a 2.9-inch TFT touch screen with 240 x 400 pixel resolution and 262k colors. It supports external memory via microSD cards and comes with a 2 megapixel auto-focus camera. Other features include Bluetooth and handwriting recognition. According to the company, the X800 would be able to offer users up to 8 hours of talk time. Their second ‘iKiller’, as I like to call such handsets, is the rather snazzy-named Xenium X-Connect, which is a Windows Mobile 6 enabled handset. It’s equipped with GPS, external memory support (microSD) and of course Bluetooth and USB connectivity. This handset has a 3- inch TFT touch screen display. Sadly it lacks Wi-Fi. There doesn’t seem to be any sort of pricing on the handsets, nor is there any info about their availability. Stay Tuned. Source : Tech2

Samsung The New No. 3 In The Indian Market
Honest posted a topic in Other Network / Cellular Providers
Samsung the New No 3 in the Indian Market There's been a significant change in status quo in the Indian mobile phone market during the first quarter of the new year (Jan-Mar 08), with hitherto third-largest player Motorola effectively displaced by Korean handset maker Samsung, reports a leading business daily. The report cites ORG data to reveal Nokia as retaining top slot followed by Sony Ericsson still at second place while Samsung beating Motorola to emerge the new third-largest player in the Indian handset market. The spotlight is on Samsung as the only major player to have increased market share from 5.7 percent in Jan to 7 percent in March; Motorola, by contrast to have simultaneously lost market share from 6.7 percent in Jan to 5.9 percent in March. And though Nokia did manage to notch top slot, ORG data shows the company to have actually lost market share from 72.3 percent in Jan to 69.5 percent in March. Meanwhile, Sony Ericsson is shown to have maintained 8.1 percent market share from Jan through March. Samsung claims the increase in market share is due to factors including their channel expansion program, new product launches, and brand activity involving Aamir Khan. Motorola meanwhile attributes the decrease in market share to a change in company focus from entry-level to mid-to-high end phones. Source : Techtree -

Asus-lamborghini Launch The Zx1 Pda Phone
Honest posted a topic in Other Network / Cellular Providers
ASUS-Lamborghini Launch The ZX1 PDA Phone ASUS and Lamborghini, together, launched the ASUS-Lamborghini ZX1 PDA phone that runs on Windows Mobile. It made its world wide debut at CeBIT earlier this year and it's finally made its way to our shores. The back panel is covered with extremely lightweight but strong carbon fiber that is twice as tough as aluminum and five times stronger than steel. With it, a high grade stainless steel casement is used to protect the camera compartment. This PDA phone is equipped with wireless 802.11b+g, Bluetooth v2.0+EDR, USB2.0, 3.5G and even GPS. A 2.8" touchscreen, a 9-way navigational key and a unique racing user interface that can be modified to the user's mode of operation whether it be business or lifestyle - complete with engine noises - provide finesse to the phone. Edward Wang, Business Head, Mobile Communication Business, ASUS (India) said, "ASUS ZX1 is the first co-branded PDA phone from ASUS and is targeted at a very niche segment, for people who have a penchant for style. PDA phones are increasingly becoming fashion gadgets and the ASUS ZX1 gives the user the ultimate ownership experience. We wanted the end user to feel as engaging an experience as driving a Lamborghini car and you'll find elements of style and design seamlessly incorporated in the ZX1 at every level. Manufacturers are releasing many such co-branded products but we chose Lamborghini as our co-branding partner in the PDA phone segment as we share the same position in PDA phones as Lamborghini does in the automobile industry." The ASUS-Lamborghini ZX1 PDA phone will be available for Rs. 50,000. Source : Tech2 -
^^^ @Vickey My dear friend, try purchasing the handset from the company's Web World. Their you won't be misguided at all. The blank sim comes with the handset only. You need not to purchase it seperately. Regards.
