^^^ @Praveen Jaiman My dear friend, I know that you are having Windows Vista and I too am using Windows Vista. Actually you didn't understand what I want to tell you. Just see. When you select the setup file from the CD to install the software for LG RD5340. Just right click the setup file and select properties from their. In properties you will see the compatibility mode. Just select to install the sotware in compatibility mode of WINDOWS XP SP2. And your problem might be solved. Their are no Vista drivers available from Reliance for this phone right now. So we have to install the driver in compatibility mode of windows xp sp2 and use it. Regards.

Honest posted a topic in Other Network / Cellular Providers
Samsung, Adidas Announce the F110 MiCoach Samsung has partnered with Adidas to give you the Samsung F110, or the Adidas miCoach. Fully equipped with a music player with stereo FM radio, 1GB of storage space, this phone comes with quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE support. What's special about this one though? The miCoach system is a web-based analysis tool that can help you with your sport needs. It comes equipped with a heart rate monitor, which makes use of a belt that measures your heart beat off your chest. The phone also has a stride sensor that needs to be clipped on to the shoe laces. Now with these features, plus the accelerometer and the pedometer, the phone gives you a real-time voice-coaching during workouts. The phone can also read out your current stats like time, calories, heart rate etc. It comes with a 2MP camera, and an armband that lets you attach the phone to your arm. To activate the voice-coaching, you need only to tap the miCoach phone twice. The phone is likely to be launched in two packages, fully loaded and only essentials. It's expected by mid-march 2008. -

Mobile Users Not Cued in To Security Security service provider F-Secure Corporation, after a survey has revealed that though more than three quarters of mobile phone users are aware that malware can infect a mobile device via Bluetooth, they fail to have security software installed. On average, 28 per cent of all respondents in the survey said they use their mobile device to access the Internet, while a large majority, 86 per cent admitted to having no mobile security at all. Out of all the countries questioned, the UK had the highest percentage (47%) of users accessing the Internet through their mobile device, while at the same time being the least likely to have a security product installed on their mobile phone. While most users are aware of the security risks involved with using the connectivity features on their phone, only 21 percent regarded Bluetooth connections safe, and a mere 15 per cent were under the impression that WiFi connections are safe. Over half of those questioned felt it was up to the individual user to ensure their phone was protected. A third expected this to be taken care of by their mobile phone carrier, with the US putting the greater emphasis on third-party responsibility. Only 11 per cent of Germans believed their mobile phone provider should be in charge of security, compared with over 32 per cent in France. "While the mobile threat is low at present, it’s only a matter of time before Internet criminals start utilizing the growing potential that smartphone usage presents to them," warned Mikko Hypponen, chief research officer at F-Secure. "So far there have been about 400 mobile viruses detected, but as smartphones replace PC's as the dominant Internet platform, we can expect this figure to rise." Geographically the sources of mobile threats are spread around the globe with activity originating for instance in South-East Asia, Russia and South America. While the threat from mobile viruses remains low, there has been increasing activity with spyware applications for mobile phones. Such applications make it possible to get covert access to all the functions of the affected phone, including recording of phone calls, access to messages and switching on the phone's microphone for listening. The low amount of security software installed on smartphones coupled with the rapidly increasing volume of these devices make them a very vulnerable target for hackers.

Indian Mobile Tv Market To Reach $360 Million
Honest posted a topic in Indian Telecom / General News
Indian Mobile TV Market to Reach $360 Million India's mobile television market will be worth $360 million by the end of this year, according to a report by Springboard Research, a leading Singapore-based IT market research firm. Mobile TV is a feature through which a user is able to view regular TV programmes on a mobile phone or other mobile devices. According to the findings of the report - Mobile TV in India: Understanding the Mobile Entertainment Needs of Indian Users - as many as 84 percent of the users are waiting for an affordable mobile TV service in the country. "Mobile TV marries the two dominant consumption trends of entertainment and mobile telephony in India. The market is ripe for the launch of mobile TV services and we believe that India will have around 12 million mobile TV subscribers within the first year of launch of service," said Ravi Shekhar Pandey, manager of syndicated research at Springboard Research. News, sports, music videos and game shows emerged the preferred choices for mobile TV services, the survey indicated. "A majority of mobile users in India are interested in trying out mobile TV and would invest in new handsets for using the service. This willingness is definitely a positive sign for those considering offering mobile TV in one of the world's largest and fastest growing mobile services market," Pandey said. The report also recommended offering on-demand, pay-per-view option that will not be attached to a monthly subscription offer. It has also suggested a closer business partnership between mobile TV broadcasters and service providers to make the feature more affordable. -
^^^ My dear Shyam, for mobiles only amplified speakers are recommended. But it also depends upon the size of the speakers, because the big the speaker is, the biggest its magnet will be. And that heavy big speakers can definetely damage your mobile if you use them without an amplifier. Although the damage would not be immediate. But slowly your handsets board will be dead. Try amplified speakers such as Creative, I-Ball, etc. Regards.

Google Gears Goes Mobile For those of you who aren’t exactly sure what Google Gears is capable of or what it is – it's an open source browser extension that lets developers create web applications that can run offline. Gears provides three key features: A local server, to cache and serve application resources (HTML, JavaScript, images, etc.) without needing to contact a server A database, to store and access data from within the browser A worker thread pool, to make web applications more responsive by performing expensive operations in the background What this essentially means is that in case you’re one of those people who like to take their work with them wherever they go and that would include places that have no access to the net, Gears will allow you workaholics to get things down without being connected. At the moment since it's still in a developmental stage, Gears is being designed for only Windows mobile devices that run on a Windows Mobile 5 and 6 OS. This mobile version supports Internet Explorer on Windows Mobile handsets and is restricted to just such devices. The devices would also have to have applications that are compatible with Gears in order for it to function correctly. Considering this is just an early phase, I’m sure it wont be too long (hopefully) before they’re able to adapt Google Gears for other Operating Systems and handsets. This means that other smartphone users, such as those using Apple's iPhone, or people using other popular mobile browsers, such as Opera, won't be able to use Google Gears. But Google has said that it plans to expand support to other browsers and cell phone platforms, including its own Android software. For more information or to download a Beta click here.
