  2. Nokia Rolls Out The Big Guns at Mobile Asia Nokia may have been simply trying to build up the tension on the first day of Mobile Asia 2008 here in Delhi, but day two saw them in a new light with the bringing out of their big guns that were recently shown off at Barcelona. This is what we wanted to see from them and they delivered. However their main theme seemed to be Navigation, as they showcased most of the handsets that featured GPS. For starters, Nokia brought out their very, very talked about N96 super phone. The one that does it all. As I’ve said before, it’s essentially a cross between the N95 with its dual sliding capabilities and the rest of the design is simply a widened version of the N81 since it has a 2.8 inch display. It also incorporates the N81’s new shortcut interface with the navigation pad that is touch sensitive and works as a scroll wheel. It has everything you’d want from a phone/do it all device, from Wi-Fi to a 5 megapixel camera with Carl Zeiss optics to DVBH and GPS with Geo-Tagging. Their second device was the upgrade to their mobile phone/GPS unit the 6110 Navigator so... enter the 6120 Navigator with a larger 2.4 inch display and Geo-Tagging and a 3 megapixel camera. Among the other phones featured was the N78 also with inbuilt-GPS as well as a 3 megapixel camera. It also supports an A2DP Bluetooth profile, USB connectivity, 3G and thankfully has a 3.5mm earphone socket. The 6220 classic with the 5 megapixel camera, xenon flash and yup, another model with inbuilt GPS was also on display. The most basic, when compared to these was the Nokia 3120 classic with a 2 megapixel camera and a S40 OS. We may have a bit of a wait before we see any of these handsets on our store shelves and I for one can’t wait. Intex Launches IN 3333 at Mobile Asia 2008 Intex is definitely fighting to be a contender in the large mobile race going on in our country. With their latest launch of the base model handset the IN 2020, it seems the company thought – hey, this just isn’t enough. At Mobile Asia 2008 in our Capital City of New Delhi, Intex announced that they are launching another new handset, the IN 3333. The IN 3333 is a music capable handset with Bluetooth an integrated FM radio and a voice recorder. The best part about the device is that it supports external memory and it comes with a 1GB card (included with the packaging). The IN 3333 also comes equipped with a 1.3 megapixel camera. The model is soon to be launched and should have an approximate price of Rs. 5000.
  3. ^^^ Yes my dear friends, kshah is correct, if the problem is with Spice then what can Reliance do in between. Regards.
  4. Samsung Shows a Lot at Mobile Asia 2008 Well Mobile Asia 2008 kicked off in the Capital today and yours truly was here to cover it and I have to say, it may not have been as big as Barcelona at the GSMA Mobile World Congress, but it had all the big players like Samsung, LG, Motorola and the like showcasing their wares, with one disappointing exception from the biggest name in the business – Nokia. I was hoping to see some of what we’ve been expecting to see this year like the 6120 Navigator or the N96. Unfortunately Nokia was simply showcasing their Navigation expertise and some of the older models that we’re used to seeing in and around India like a couple of the E series mobiles and the Xpress Music editions. Nothing to write home about. However the very first thing you’d see the moment you enter would be the entire Samsung section. They showcased everything right from their Soul to some of the lowest end handsets they’ve released. The Soul was prticularly a treat for the eyes with its intuitive miniature display that serves as a touch sensitive navigation pad. Their Metal series were not the only handsets that would make you stop and take notice. What I was particularly impressed with was the new part of the “Metal” series - the Gold special edition handsets that were designed for the Olympic Games. The designs may not be different but, hey, gold is gold. The G800 with its 5 megapixels and most importantly its 3x Optical Zoom feature had people gawking. Other Models included the odd yet rather appealing Seranta with the Bang and Olufsen music playback system. They also showcased some of their other handsets that included the Georgio Armani touch screen handset and the E490 that, well let’s face it, looks the same, just with a larger 3.3 inch screen as compared to the Armani’s 2.6 inch display. Another one of their music edition handsets with dual sliding capabilities – the i45 0 was also on display with it’s special scrolling feature. Samsung went all out showcasing all that would surely suit and tantilise their Indian fans. Among the large array of handsets Samsung also showcased their DVBH ready handset and their business models as well. Mobile Asia 2008 will continue for 3 more days in Delhi, so stay tuned for more updates.

  6. Nokia 6275 Problem: Range Is Showing Very Low

^^^ @spknair My dear friend, Nokia ASC will never replace his handset with a new one. But they can surely solve the problem in the existing handset at the earliest. @jabir My dear friend, as KumaarShah also told above, you must go to the authrosied service centre of Nokia without any delay. Regards.
  7. ^^^ @Kalpak My dear friend, surely you are right at your point. But I never asked or told anyone not to tell that he / she belongs to which religion. Actually what I meant in my previous post is that it should not be mentioned in our posts that a particular community was suffered in the riots, either it may be of any religion. I know very well that nearly every community was suffered due those riots in Gujarat. Especially the family members of those who lost their lovedones in the riots are worst affected. Riots does not see any religion. I purely respect your views, as you had seen the riots with your naked eyes my dear Kalpak. And never wants to hurt you at all. But at the same time I request all of you that we should not mention any particular religion in our post so that the sentiments of those who belongs to that religion must not be hurt. As the whole community can never be blamed due to the fault of few people. Now, riots are over. And we should try to maintain friendliness so that other mischieveous persons may not take advantage of us. And in the last I think we are a little bit off the track. Lets take this thread on the track and start posting about OWNERSHIP OF INDIAN MEDIAS. And in the last my dear Kalpak please do not take it personally. Regards.
  8. Ztc S688

^^^ @Rahul My dear friend, I would rate this handset at seven out of 10. Can't recommend it right now as we doesn't got sufficient reviews for this handset. Only recommend this handset after reviewing that. Although their are not bad reviews as of now. But we should wait a little before buying this phone. Regards.
  9. ^^^ My dear friends, I think it will be better if we should not mention any particular religions in our posts. Whether it may be Hindu, Muslim or Christian or any other one. As it may hurt many people's emotions who belongs to that particular religion. Maintain healty discussions without putting any religion into it. It will be good for our reputation as well as keeps our beloved rimweb neat & clean. Regards.
  10. Cheaper Data Cards

^^^ And to add what KumaarShah told above is that this reduction will be available on the printed price. And we are getting much lower rates then what is printed on the box itself. Like in Mobiles, for /-ample if we purchase a handset @ Rs.5000/- then its price mentioned on the box is already equals to or more then 7000/-. Anyways, the actual reductions which the buyer may get will not be more then 100 to 150 bucks on a data card worth Rs.3000/-. Regards.

  23. Rambo Kicks Butt on Your Mobile If you're any sort of Blood and Gore/Action movie fan I’d be stupid to think you haven’t the latest addition to Stallone's Rambo series. Obviously you’d have loved it but what In-Fusion has done is developed a game based on the movie called Rambo on Fire. The game sees our intrepid hero doing what he does best - killing the baddies with his humongous arsenal always at his disposal. He has gone back to Vietnam to (as usual) clean up a mess that his colleagues before him have made. The main goal – Kill 'em all.
  24. ^^^ @vishal My dear friend, this game is not freely available. You can only use it after you purchase it. Regards.
