  1. Decline In Price Of Lg Rd3100

^^^ @reliance.adag My dear friend, should we save our money.... or would we let others earn more from us. After all the dealer who is selling the product at lesser price is also earning some bucks. Then where is the problem. And NEGOTIATING IS AN ART. Those who are good at negotiating like us, saves their hard earned money. And those who doesn't care for little bucks can obviously purchase the product from the seller who is selling at higher rates my dear friend. In my point of view, we all should always NEGOTIATE, NEGOTIATE AND NEGOTIATE. Regards.
  2. Reliance Vs Bsnl Wll

^^^ @Nirvana My dear friend, as Raccoon also told above, this card can only be used in the city limits. You can't use this card while roaming. Obviously the data transfer speeds of this card is magnificent but the only con in this data card is that you can't use it while roaming. As soon as roaming facility being activated with this card, no other operator could match BSNL then. Regards.

  18. Google's Latest: Wireless Data Via Balloon This can't be a rumor, because The Wall Street Journal reported it; Google is considering contracting with a company with the exotic name of Space Data, or even buying it. This bit of news might just become that much hot air after a few weeks, but it's quaintly interesting nevertheless -- because it involves sending up balloons to extend a long-range cell network, or a wide-area (broadband) Internet network. In short, it goes like this: there's a tower at place A, and place B, hundreds of kilometres away, has no coverage -- so send up a balloon with transceivers into the stratosphere at place B, and the network gets extended. In fact, a signal could get spread across thousands of square kilometres this way; word is that an equivalent feat via cellular towers would need 40 of them to be put up. No, we aren't kidding, and neither are they: balloons are an inexpensive proposition (just plastic and some gas, to be precise, and the transceivers aren't expensive either), so wireless service could be offered in remote areas at a low cost. Space Data isn't fumbling with a new concept: it already launches 10 balloons a day across parts of the southern US, providing telecom services to oil companies, among others. Their technology is even used by the US Air Force. The part that seems really random to us is this: the balloons don't permanently remain up in the atmosphere. When they've done their duty, the transceiver comes down to earth (via parachute, of course, so no-one gets hurt...). Space Data pays $100 for each transceiver that's brought back to them. ("Look what I found! A transceiver!") Those in the know say the bandwidth isn't all that impressive, and that lost-and-found transceiver bit (we can't stop harping on that one) just seems hilarious... Google and Space Data haven't yet commented on whether a deal is on the cards, but this one just goes to show that no-one in Google's Department Of Expansion is creativity-challenged.
  19. ^^^ Yes my dear Kumaar you are right. But even if these GSM gangsters read it then they will take a decade to float the balloons. And if they float balloons illegaly then authorities may pin them down. Regards.
  20. Geodesic's Mundu Powers Idea's Radio Geodesic Information Systems and IDEA Cellular, have jointly announced the launch of "IDEA Radio" - a Mobile Internet Radio service. IDEA Radio is built on Geodesic's Mundu Radio technology - that is designed and optimized for mobile operations. It enables IDEA's subscribers to tune into a range of exciting entertainment channels, 24 hours a day, without the need to carry a separate device, or to be within the limited range of FM radio stations. IDEA subscribers can access the service through their GPRS enabled mobile handsets. An activated, internet enabled GPRS connection is bundled with the IDEA Radio subscription. A one day free trial is available to allow subscribers to experience this first-of-its-kind offering. To avail of the offer, IDEA subscribers can SMS the keyword "IRADIO" to 55456 or point their GPRS phone browser to http://idearadio.mundu.com to download the Idea Radio client directly to their phone. Several flexible subscription options are available, including Rs. 149 per month or Rs. 10 per day. Geodesic's MD, Kiran Kulkarni, said "Mobile devices are the preferred mode of entertainment today, and the IDEA Radio implementation is representative of Geodesic’s stated strategy to provide innovative, revenue-enhancing mobile solutions to service providers. We are proud to have our Mundu Radio technology provide a competitive edge to IDEA." Geodesic is our ideal partner because of its established presence in the mobile music space, with their unique offering Mundu Radio, customized for IDEA, allowing us to leverage their experience and providing us the competitive advantage to innovatively enhance our VAS portfolio offerings." My dear friends, this seems to be a costly service. Subscription charges for this service must be dropped if Idea wants good subscriptions for this service. Regards.

  22. ARM Intros Software for 3D on Mobiles Chip firm ARM has expanded its graphics stack, announcing their new 3D graphics software for mobiles at the Game Developers' Conference in San Francisco 20th February. Use of the software will mean calculations in Java will be minimized, and that in turn will allow more sophisticated 3D graphics. Like Nvidia announced (with hardware in that case) a while ago -- with their new chip that would bring desktop 3D to mobiles -- ARM claims 3D on mobiles can now be similar to that on high-end consoles and PCs. Sure it's a small screen we're talking about, but mobile gaming will get at least a little more popular as 3D graphics capabilities improve. In fact, ARM says their new software, called the Mali-JSR297, will prompt developers to produce games with more "personality" despite the limited display size. In addition, they also believe developers will now have more control over the appearance of their games. Mali-JSR297 will "take full advantage" of OpenGL ES 2.0, which is a subset of the popular OpenGL 3D API. The OpenGL ES specification is defined by The Khronos Group, specifically for embedded systems such as those used in mobile handsets and game consoles. It happens to be the API of choice for the PS3. The standard was ratified by the group at the 2007 Game Developers' Conference, which meant an opening up of a cross-platform game development environment. Ericsson Mobile Platforms is the lead partner for the newly-announced software, which will be released following ratification of the JSR297 standard. Pre-release versions will be available from ARM in the third quarter of 2008.
