@ajith Dear friend, you are very lucky that you had downloaded the ringtone application from r-world on this lg rd 5340 handset. When I tried the same on my handset, it just started to download the application and hang up in the middle. It looks that the handset tries to connect but failed. Now I had to again visit the LG service centre for this problem. This is for the 3rd time when I am visiting the service centre after I bought this handset within 50 days. Regards.

@vishal Its quite good that reliance is working on the r-world features of this handset. It seems that you are quite satisfied with this little support from reliance, but my dear friend what will happen to the games and songs download from r-world which has been clearly mentioned in the broucher of this handset (i.e. LG RD 5340). I would be satisfied only when reliance comes with the above much needed features through r-world. Enjoy ! Regards.

@arun & @akshat I agree with both of you guys. I think they keep mobiles with them only to show off. After the lifetime service had started, much more people started giving miss calls. This is rediculous. They must think before giving a miss call. I never call back when someone gives me missed call.

@mahesh I think going for the cheapes is the waste of money. Now a days many webworlds are selling accessories at throwaway prices. You can visit Kandivali Web World for the lowest rates of original accessories. Through original data cable you will get maximum output / speed. Regards.

I too agree with all you guys. Reliance's servers are mostly down in the day time. Guys who want to register the complaint and told by the CC people to call back due to server down problem, must ask the CC people that u can hold the call till the system / server comes back. Normally the servers get down and comes back for fraction of minutes. The problem with Customer Care people is just they want to end the call as soon as possible as u can hear there tone of speaking and trying to end the call saying "Reliance mein call karne ke liye dhanyavad". This happens most of the time. I suggest people with handsfree handsets that while registering any complaint, if CC people tell you that systems are down. Then, you ask them that you can hold for some time, and put your phone to handsfree and continue with your work. You will see in most of the cases (near 70-80%) you will get the complaint registered, as the servers comes back after a short while. Regards.

@kewl_anupam Exactly this was the problem with my handset. I suggest you must go to service centre of LG and ask them to replace the battery.

Day before yesterday LG Service Centre people changed the battery of my LG RD 5340. They had given me the new battery after taking my handset for one day observation. But I am still not satisfied with the performance of the new battery. Now can the current users of this handset (i.e. LG RD 5340) tell me that exactly how much talk time and stand by time u guys are getting through your handsets ? Please reply. Regards.

@coolron Oh my dear friend, listen to this now. I had just tried to save the wallpaper through Rgreeting application, under which it is clearly mentioned that u can set the greeting as Wallpaper. On selecting the above mentioned option (i.e. Set as Wall Paper), I again received the Error Message. Error Message : Unable to process request. You will not be billed for this event. Please try again. Now it means that we even can't download the wallpapers through Rgreeting application. On asking the service centre about this feature, they clearly says that Rworld is a Reliance feature. We can't help u in this matter. Regards.

@coolron My dear friend u can't upload wallpapers of your choice through Rworld right now in this handset as there is no different application available to download Wallpapers. The only way to upload wallpaper is through the R Greeting application in Rworld. In which u can download only the preloaded Greetings. U will be charged Rs. 3/- for the available Wallpapers to download and Rs. 3/- to send the greeting to other mobile. But listen to the worst right now. Although there is a Menu in R-Greetings to send the greeting to other mobile users, but the hell is this that when u try to send any greeting to other mobile u will get the error message and u can't send it. I don't no why Reliance had marketed such a handset without proper R-World functions. I think its only to fool and cheat the innocent customers. Regards.

@ubhat Set your modem data speed to 115200 instead of 33600 kbps, you will get the best speed.

All my dear friends Listen to the new problem I had faced with this little LG RD 5340 handset now. The problem is that its battery gets empty only after making 45 to 50 minutes of calls. Whereas it is clearly mentioned in the broucher of this handset that the talk time of this handset is about nearly 2 to 2.2 hours. Now I will again go to the service centre to resolve this problem. I think after purchasing this handset I will have to visit the service centre atleast every month for the new problems which might arise afterwards. Regards.

All LG phone models are not cheap and bad. But still many cheap models are there. Let the customer decide what to buy and what not.

I sms Hutch, Mumbai for "Do Not Disturb" a year and a half ago. But still I am getting calls from Hutch and other companies.

@ashishbabu Just go in the "Call Register" Menu and select "Show Call Duration" Menu and from there select "Clear Timer" Menu and click at OK. Your timer than be set to zero. Regards.

Ya its a good rail budget, but sad to hear that AC 3 Tier fares still not reduced.

Today I visited LG service centre and asked for the S/W upgradation for my LG RD 5340. They told me that there is no software upgradation available for this handset right now. When I asked them that this handset does not support full R-World feature. They told me that R-World service is provided by Reliance itself and this feature is upgraded by Reliance time to time. Whenever there is an upgrade available for this handset, you will be intimated by Sms. Now I ask the Reliance people that when they had not tested this damned handset for full R-World features till date, then why are they marketing / selling the handset ? I think its only to fool innocent people.

Fax service is the most awaited service from reliance. It would be highly appreciable if Reliance start the fax service on their wireless network as early as possible.
