  1. ^^^ The country is divided onto two geographical sectors for ease of implementing the MNP. These two zones are then divided into 11 service areas. The master database will be managed by a third party firm. For zone I, Syniverse has been appointed with the MNP and related issues while for zone II, it is Telcordia.
  2. +1 dear Sumit Brother. Really good to see that someone from Rimweb family was present there at the inauguration ceremony of MNP.
  3. ^^^ Yes Saurav you will be able to convert your RCDMA to RGSM, but you won't be able to retain your Tariff Plan. You have to apply for a fresh Tariff Plan.
  4. Yes dear Kumaar you are right, its there for you Chennaites, but in Mumbai they were looting Vodafone Mobile Connect users since the start. But now its a sigh of relief atleast for Mumbai Vodafone Mobile Connect users.

However the new operator has the option to waive off the MNP fee or reduce it. Presently BSNL and Tata Docomo announced their attractive MNP offers with freebies. Wherein subscribers can switch to BSNL at FREE of cost while Tata Docomo charged Rs. 19 for number portability service. 6. ^^^ No..No...dear Sougata, this will not be the case. The fact is that whenever a caller makes a call to certain number and if that number is been ported to other operator then the caller will hear an automatic response from the system that the number is been ported and the call is going to connect on xyz operator's network.
  7. Hitesh Bhai......dekho zaraa....itni LIGHT kaafi rahegi.....yaan kuch aur throw karoon ROSHNI ???? Baaki rahi ON-NET Packs ki baat....toh uski aap bilkul bhi fikr na karo....kyunki......KAANHA JEE SAB DEKH RAHE HAIN !
  8. Got the information from some sources that MNP will be started in Mumbai only after a month. As the TESTING of this service in Mumbai is continually failing. Hope all technical issues will be sorted out soon.

  10. @csmart Dear Chirag, actually not only I but many Reliance subscribers registered the complaint with Reliance several times but in vein. Apko kya lagta hai ke maine kuch kiya nahi hoga.....UNKI PUNGI KAI BAAR BAJAAI HAI MAINE.......! Magar wo hain ke KUMBHAKARAN KI NEEND so rahe hain. Actually this issue is area specific and they are unable to do any good in our locality. For FWP, they provided the PPA (Patch Panel Antenna), so it works just good. But for mobile.......Ab mobile ki toh yeh haalat hai k ek kaan se hataa ke agar dusrey kaan mein laga do mobile toh call drop ho jataa hai. I get only 1-2 signals at my home and that too fluctuating. Well, either I will port my 4 reliance mobile numbers to other Gsm operator or to MTS Cdma. I think MTS will be better. As they have good coverage in Mumbai and I don't have to change all my handsets from CDMA to Gsm.
  11. Opera Mobile 10.1 For Nokia Smartphones Goes Final Opera has released the final version of the 10.1 Mobile browser for all Nokia users with a Symbian Series 60 operating system. It uses the Carakan JavaScript engine, which also runs their desktop browser. The new mobile web browser introduces Geolocation which enables web services such as maps and travel applications to recognize your location to provide you with information you want. They’ve also added a few more features such as speed dial, tabbed browsing, Opera Link and password manager which helps in saving time by simply clicking the site you want to navigate to. Opera Turbo compression helps you speed up your browsing, when your network speed gives way. The servers shrink webpages to 20 percent of their original size, so you can access the page faster and reduce your data costs. Opera Mobile fine-tunes the look and feel of your browsing with kinetic scrolling, a virtual keyboard and auto-rotation to landscape. It’s available for users having smartphones based on Symbian^3, and Symbian S60 3rd and 5th editions. It’s available on their site for free. Finally some respite for Nokia users who were facing problems while browsing. Courtesy : Tech2
  12. ^^^ Gaurav ji as per the customer care they told it will work on APN. But you must still cross confirm it from the customer care.
  13. ^^^ Although I'm very much satisfied with Reliance CDMA services throughout Mumbai. But its worst in my area. From the last one year I registered a lot of complaints with them. Each and every time they just send sms 5-6 days after registering the complaint, mentioning that my issue is been resolved from there side. But infact, nothing has been done so far. This is the only reason for my planning to shift my 4 reliance cdma numbers to other operators.
  14. One of my friend (Pankaj), told me if the number you are calling been ported to the operator other then the original, then you will hear the IVR in the starting telling you that the call is been routed to xyz operator. And this will help all of us a lot.
  15. ^^^ My dear friends, the tariffs I posted are for Mumbai only. Earlier they don't allowed tethering on Vodafone Live Plans. But now from 14th October they started providing the same. Now you can use your phone as a Modem and connect it to PC / Laptop using.

  17. @Prathod My dear friend, I heard somewhere that you have to stick with the operator for atlest 60 days before you port your number again to another operator.
  18. ^^^ Wow, Great Comparison. Swapnil Bhai....apki confusion toh ek dum duuuuuur ker di Rajan Bhai ne. Hope, now you will easily take the decision.
  19. Spectrum case is mother of all scams: Supreme Court NEW DELHI: Given the enormity of the amount involved, the scandal related to spectrum allocation to mobile companies was the mother of all scams, the Supreme Court said Wednesday. "This scam will put to shame all other scams put together," said the apex court bench of Justice G.S. Singhvi and Justice A.K. Ganguly. The apex court made this observation when senior counsel K.K. Venugopal, appearing for the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), was citing various judgments of the apex court dealing with various scams. Venugopal sought to make a distinction between earlier scams and the spectrum scam saying that the investigating agency in this matter was probing the matter with expedition, efficiency and alacrity. In the instant case the court is hearing a petition by the Centre for Public Interest Litigation (CPIL) seeking court monitoring of the CBI investigation into the spectrum scandal. 20. Yes Hitesh.....in Computer Hardware products they provide robust After Sales Service. Many a time if a product is in warranty, they just replace it and give you the new piece. And I-Ball to provides the same kind of good After Sales Service.
  21. In India, there are very few takers of such kind of phones. As far as the brand INTEX is marked with the products then it hardly matters from where they are importing the handsets, whether its CHINA or JHUMRITALLAIYA. Atleast buyer will get After Sales Service / Warranty locally.
  22. ^^^ If thats true then its a great news for all of us. Atleast, I will port my 4 Reliance CDMA mobile numbers to other GSM Operator but will retain atleast one Reliance CDMA for making STD Calls and one Reliance FWP for my residence.
  23. I had seen somewhere that this phone comes at Rs.12,000/- and not Rs.16,000/-. Will update the price here as soon as I get confirmed news.
