  5. ^^^ As of now MTNL provides STD calls at local rates for calls generated from MTNL Mumbai Landlines to MTNL Delhi Landline subscribers and vice-versa. But there is no such benefit to call other operator's landline phones at local rates. Hope after the launch from BSNL, our MTNL too will start the same for its subscribers.

  14. Etisalat Will Say Cheers To Mumbai In December This Year It seems that Cheers Mobile has pressed the panic button and is now pressing hard for launching its services across its licensed areas. If we take the case of Mumbai alone, Cheers Mobile is working hard to place core network as well as sales part in place and is scheduled to kick start it is GSM Services in Mumbai by December this year. Recently reports were on that it would merge its services with either Reliance Communications or with Idea Cellular Ltd. But due to several reasons including valuations, the deal didn’t succeed. Our close source in Cheers Mobile confirmed the same and this said on a condition of anonymity that, “Currently a monthly target for acquiring customers has been set and it is 15,000 customers or 500 customers per day and if everything goes on track we will be flagging off our services this December in Mumbai”. Currently the sim cards are available with almost 40% Mobile retailers in Mumbai and soon it will be increasing. Cheers Mobile Sim card is available for Rs. 49 and the First Recharge amount is Rs. 101 which gives you a talktime of Rs. 91 with an attractive tariff for 365 days. With FRC 101, all local Off-net calls will be charged at just 30paise/minute, on-net Local calls will be charged at flat 10paise/minute whereas all STD calls will be charged at flat 60paise/minute. For More details, you can contact freely on 09588000121 (Customer Care) or alternatively you can also contact Abhay Panchal (Nodal Officer) on 09588044768 if you are having any sort of problems. 17. SMS Delivery Problem for Vodafone

^^^ Dear Ashish, I'm also a Vodafone user but I don't have any problems in Sms Delivery to Tata Docomo Numbers. You said you are a HEAVY TEXT USER. Try some LIGHT TEXTING and see whether it make any difference. Or change your Session startup before evening (2pm to 7pm). Joking. It seems that its a temporary problem at Kolhapur. Might be Vodafone is Jealous of Docomo in Maharashtra. Because Docomo started 3G services there but Vodafone still have to start the same. Thats why they are taking BADLAA from Docomo by late delivering the text messages. :winko: :winko:
  18. IDEA Cellular Flags Off Dedicated 3G Webpage And Starts MNP Campaign Following the launch 3G Dedicated web page by Bharti Airtel and Reliance Communications (Rcom) finally IDEA Cellular the pan-India mobile service operator, today flagged Off its dedicated 3G Web page . Apart from the 3G Web page IDEA Cellular has also come up with ” No IDEA Get IDEA Campaign” where its Brand Ambassador, Abhishek Bachchan (aka Sirji), who has in the past been seen in various avatars says Get IDEA for Better Communication needs – Mobile Number Portability Coming Soon, Switch to IDEA. IDEA Cellular has come up with a Flash page on their portal under the 3G tab where it will communicate all the services and will educate all customers about 3G services. However It seems that IDEA Cellulars 3G Webpage is still in beta phase and as of now It doesn’t has a vast information and general awareness between the pros and cons of both 2G and 3G service as we can see on website of other private operators like Bharti Airtel,Reliance and Tata Docomo. IDEA Cellular which has bagged 3G spectrum in 11 circles including its strong hold circles like Majarashtra-Goa and Madhya Pradesh. The operator plans to strongly leverage its media, Gaming, Live TV and broadcasting capabilities along with Super Fast Internet to offer its customers a unique true 3G experience and to get in depth analysis check out this link for more details. IDEA Cellular’s brand ambassador, Abhishek Bachchan is now Making News!! Reason: A Television Advertisement made for ”Idea” which carries a Message for Mobile Number Portability (MNP)! see the Video here : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7yHgR-_up8s&feature=player_embedded Courtesy : Telecom Talk
  19. ^^^ At first instance, I thought it was you who got the Trip to Japan from Docomo.
  20. Can you expect this : ???? So dear friend, anything can happen at any time. But ya all these tragedies could be avoided.
  21. ^^^ Dear Kalpesh, its really sad to hear about your sister's death. May Her Soul Rest In Peace. @Viper_in_blood My dear friend, visit Mumbai sometime and you will see the position here. At many stations where Local Trains halt, there are no proper Foot Over Bridges. In fact most of the deaths occurs due to non availability of proper Foot Over Bridges at Stations. People are forced to cross the tracks. Railways too are as much responsible for the deaths of the people due to this negligence. See on Western as well as Central Railway there are SIX TRACKS side by side, on which Local Trains runs at a short difference of only 3 minutes. I agree that sometimes its human mistake to cross the tracks with overconfidence, when they think they might cross it well before the train arrives. But I think, if there are proper Foot Over Bridges available at all Stations, the deaths on the tracks will definetely reduce. By the way here is a video of a man falling down off the running Local Train. The incident occured on Western Railway between Mira Road and Dahisar Railway Station. The man succummed to death on the way to hospital. And Stupid people like in the below video are the ones who play with there lives while crossing the tracks.
