hey rohitkumar1985in did u mention 'customised for RIM' ? can u pls tell me where can i get that customized PSM player...i have the normal one. and can u tell how it can be used to compress the midi files to fit to 4 KB limit? thanks

ya i tried that software but yes theres considerable loss of quality. 1 more thing i wanna ask...is there a way to shrink the midi file. what i mean to say is that suppose theres a good midi file of 5KB size and i wanna make it of 4 KB size...so is there a way that i don't have to delete any portion of it just shrink the file say by reducing is quality or by reducing some specific chord but NOT deleting any part of it....is it possible?

LG RD 5130 supports only midi files for ringtones and BMP format for wallpapers...if u send a file of format other than these 2 then it will give that error ur talking about. search this forum and u'll find the desired info. ur looking for

ok i understand that but how r ppl in this forum making soooo melodious and yet under 4KB size ringtones of bollywood songs. i need to know mainly that. pls explain thanks

Hi guys, mine is a lg rd5130. am crazy about uploading ringtones and wallpapers to my handset. its perfectly going ok with the wallpapers. but am finding it very difficult and nasty to do the ringtones job. am totally a n00bie at this and need ur help. i have many quesions on ringtones. these r as follows:- 1) am unable to handle the PSM player, all the files when i convert them in midi format it says, size limit exceeded and sometimes also that chords more than set limit ie. 16 (thats max. that my set supports) 2) am not able to convert them into good midis. when i convert them even from midi to midi for size change they become a perfect crap, JUNK!! all the instruments r simply junked up and it converts to a more or less bogus monophonic tones. a step by step instrution would be very nice 3) how to convert an instrumental music into a nice 16 chord midi file with more or less the same quality as of original midi. 4) psm player doesn't take input of wav and mp3 files. which soft. to use to convert them into midi format without much hassel. any other suggestions and expert advices u ppl would like to give would be MUCH APPRECIATED! Hi everybody, I just got a new LG RD2130 with my post paid offer of reliance. The set is simply GREAT! but theres 1 problem that am facing. when i charge my lg phone(through the normal travel charger) then the backlight remains open for as long as it is getting charged. this happens only when am charging with the set switched ON. when i charge it with the set switched OFF it charges with no problem(ie. with the blacklight switched off). now isn't this annoying? i mean on 1 side its charging and on the other side its getting discharged coz of the backlight switched ON. also it greatly reduces the life of backlight. i don't want that i switch off the set each time when i need to charge...as i may miss important calls at that time and also its annoying too i have to go out of station in 2 days...a quick help woudld be greatly appreciated. Hi all, this is my new set from reliance. the set is latest...but the bad thing is that i can't find its covers anywhere in my city...searched the retailers, wholesalers, even the lg service centers! but no use . the set is getting dirty day by day. and i don't want to laminat my new handset. any idea how much time it takes for the new covers to be released?

hmmm....may be....but cover is far more better option than lamination, i mean u can take it off when ever u want, ur battery doesn't get locked in it, also it 'sticks' to ur mobile's battery...some side effect may take place in it :S. if my mobile would have been 8-9 months old then i might have gone for lamination but my handset is just 2 days old...i don't wanna take any risk, u know i hope the covers r released soon.

yes my R-world shortcut key is working perfectly. only difference form samsung sch n191 is that u have to hold the shortcut key a bit longer and BINGO! there goes ur R world

rightly said emmi....and also the lady on the desktop put a scratch on my battery too . but nothing can be done. this is fault on the LG side...they should have checked all these basic functions.

i just came from the LG service center, they have updated my software and now the backlight is working properly and rshivk it didn't take 5 mins, but 2 full hrs....they were working in a lazy manner anyways now the problem is sovled.

ok then i'll upgrade the s/w. btw u sure it won't cause any abnormality to my set? i mean bootign problems or any other similar problems? i mean is this updating 100% safe?
