  2. +1. @S.r. Prabhu ​You probably will only require just the 16 digit Akey in HEX, correct me if I'm wrong. Just for the sake info, 26 digit Akey is nothing but 20 digit Akey in dec + 6 digit checksum of ESN. You can calculate the 6 digit checksum yourself using the CDMA workshop software. 20 digit Akey is probably 12345678901234567890 as used by most MEID registrars. So 16 digit Akey in hex would be AB54A98CEB1F0AD2.

Asking here would be fastest and more reliable way, also it will save me the trouble of googling something of 0% knowledge. Is the latest iOS version JB-able? Once flashing is done, will removing JB affect flashing? Any cautions to be taken post-flashing?
  4. Hey guys, I sourced a VZW iPhone 4 16GB for my brother. He was eyeing on an iDevice for long. Myself being a complete opposite, have no experience with iPhone. I read somewhere that VZW/Sprint iPhone 4 can be flashed to RCDMA using iDFS with $50 credit. So what are the prerequisites for getting it done? I read that the iPhone needs to be JBed. Can someone guide me on that as well. Im not sure of its current ios version as the phone is yet to arrive (Custom cleared, just local shipping pending). Also is there any other less expensive method to get voice, sms and data working? Looking forward for your replies. Thanks.

    I'm glad that we have great personalities like Vinod here. When I was in a pinch while permanent GSM unlocking my friend's G2, he asked me my teamviewer details. Connected to my PC next minute and did all the work in a flash. What a guy!! Thanks a lot mate. Salute!!!

    I wonder why data stops working on RUIM, once NV is flashed? Whats the catch here which I'm missing? RUIM mode uses every settings direct from RUIM/OMH right? Being a RCDMA freak, I would love to have 2xRCDMA with data working in one phone. I'm also looking forward to get permanent GSM unlock done once my G2 arrives. It should increase its resale value

  18. Download the firmware posted in the above comment. It will probably ask for a flash code for firmware upgrading. Use this tool to find the flash code. Once its done, your modem SPC will be reset to 000000. Now use CDMA WS or any other tools to change it to RUIM only. Done.
  19. So loading Relaince prl, will automatically set reliance nam settings? Or will the OTA updates?
  20. Download the nam file from here. Make sure you are using '5' or '10005' prl as '10' prl is 1x only. '5' is the latest prl which works with both 1x and EVDO mode. The txt file which you got from your seller/MEID registrar is the NV dump file for EVDO configuration.
  21. 1. First Root and unlock your phone. 2. Install MSL reader app from play store and find your MSL/SPC. (I guess you have done till here) 4. Dial ##DIAG# (##3424#) and enter the SPC code to enable it. Make sure you are on stock ROM as most custom ROM doesnot support DIAG option. 3. Install HTC sync Manager and the HTC Diag drivers. You can find the HTC Diag drivers (both 32bit and 64bit) here. For your PC to detect your Diag drivers correctly, you may have to install them manually. (This is how I got it working for my one V PrimoC) -> Connect your One V to your PC -> Take Device manager and it will show up under "Other devices" as HTC DIAG -> Now right click on it and select "Update Driver Software" -> select "Browse my computer for driver software" -> click " Let me pick from list of device drivers on my computer" -> "Show all devices" and click "Next" -> Then click " Have Disk" -> then browse to HTC Diag folder and select the INF file. Rest of the process, just refer the first post of this thread.
