  1. 20 days is too short but directive are certainly long awaited, pre paid connection must have validity as long as post paid. I.e. 30 - 45 days. Upon inactivity or zero spending it must be disconnected. Rules must be changed as they learn new things. Sent from my DROID2 GLOBAL using Tapatalk

  6. For people with QWERTY preference like me, EPIC is the only best handset in CDMA. EPIC and FACINATE has best displays (AMOLED). They have best GPU so for game lovers its better than 1.2 GHZ single core handsets. HUMMING BIRD CPU's are better than QUALCOMM SNAPDRAGON CPU's New dual core CPU's are certainly faster than EPIC or fascinate. Last statement, I still not able to find replacement for EPIC. Using it since almost a year. Longest used handset.

  8. In hero and hts droid radio version lower than 1.5 and rom version less than 2.1 (1:5 or 1.6 dont recollect exactly) is must, I was used to change esn or meid very fast with it. Also check for left over pesn or meid values. I was used to keep CW back up of 1.5 rom and radio zip, so will change esn n restore back old nandroid back up. (Old days when esn were not accepted by reliance and evdo was dream so to get evdo me and hetal were used to do all sort of non sense ) ;-D Sent from my DROID2 GLOBAL using Tapatalk

    @abhi It depends from which rom to which rom you are switching. If both uses same launcher, you can take back up and restore. Else no way If you are using stock rom then follow this (assuming TB is used) Take back up of twlauncher 2:3:3 and then in new rom after installation of all apps, restore only data of twlauncher.   14. ^ you are right in certain observation but not in its entirety Initially cdma was adopted by people in their innocence, when I took connection I never new that there were more than one standards of mobile communications. I bought it because it offered 144 kbps connection over 56:6 kbps then offered by dial up connection. GSM services were not providing data services those days. After buying it, when my phone went off, I came to know that there was no SIM, however by then I was already hooked to CDMA. Many people bought CDMA for affordability. Even today we use perhaps best handsets available at best possible price with best possible voice tariff Reliance has widest coverage except hilly region. Reliance lost chance to press qualcomm to adopt ruim when ADAG took over. CDMA has lost its spectrum efficiency edge since few years, now GSM is as spectrum efficient as CDMA. CDMA has certain inherited security lapses hence offering unrestricted Evdo seems to be distant dream. So in order to protect interest operators are choosing short cuts of not encouraging evdo on all type of devices. Qualcomm is exploiting cdma market for strengthening its position in GSM market. Its using its research. Cdma business needs to revamp entire implementation if it wants to offer services with freedom like GSM, lesser infrastructure cost is one area CDMA wins. But certain technological inferiority like sms lenght, encoding, mms issues, voice data simultaneous are the area CDMA will not be able to evolve and keep pace with GSM Many of loyalist of cdma like me will leave CDMA the day best handsets at best prices are no longer a reality. Imagine 1.2 ghz cpu, 8 gb on board memory, 8 gb external memory, gsm+ cdma handset (single stand by) cost me just 15k because one part of it is cdma. Similar gsm counterpart has 1 ghz cpu and cost 25k (moto D2G and milestone ) Cdma is first to get 3D handset. So cdma rocks if not in future atleast till date.   18. REQUEST FOR SUGGESTION I want to gift one Bluetooth headset to one of my friend who is all the time on mobile due to business needs. He must be talking more than 2.5 hours a day on mobile. So I want to gift one. I think I need to give him headset with noise and wind noise cancellation type of headset as he is in noisy area like airports almost every day once.   19. Most CDMA handset users believe that changing handset is not possible. Unless new handset is bought from reliance or tata ONLY. Also CDMA can never ever provide data tariff as good as GSM because of inherent weaknesses. Reliance and Tata both are typical Indian companies whose employees are not empowered to do any thing.

  21. Sorry, fluorescent tubes not lamps. What you do is absolutely correct but what the fact is not pleasant. Every where people either wants to make cheap stuff or wants to buy cheap stuff. I dont know who is responsible to this durability chaos - buyer or manufacturer? Companies wants product to be produced / procured at 1/4th to 1/5th the selling price. (I am talking about applicances) remaining money is used to maintain WHITE ELEPHANTS namely TOP OFFICIALS and sales channels.
  22. I wish tata survives but telecom sector is too fast for TATA culture. Tata's are known for its slow pace. They take ages to gain momentum and telecom is exactly opposite nature.
