Way bill is a big time hurdles created by financially weak and indisciplined state and according to person like me who belongs to state like Gujarat is a big scam to keep states backwards. Very few poor states require way bills or road permit. Surprisingly recently state like karnataka introduced E SUGAM and it is creating so many hurdles to them. If e commerce sires are charging full CST instead of VAT then there is nothing wrong as from cst recipient state gets its share of taxes.

I don't know under which law states can demand vat from e commerce sites? AFAIK sales tax act says that seller is supposed to charge maximum rate of vat applicable in state for out side state customers if C forms are not provided. I don't think it is responsibility of destination state to check whether VAT or sales tax is paid. Destination state may check if transactions are legal or not. Is there any laws for e commerce sites yet? There is no revenue loss to any one if original state checks transactions meticulously and see if full tax is paid. All ecomm websites provides just platform for selling to sellers.

IMHO Now buying any high end handset would be waste of money as 4G is almost on horizon. why not wait for few months? 3 GSM IN Ahmedabad is far better than EVDO (in terms of speed). However cdma data is any day better than GSM if we consider total coverage. Most GSM coverage is for EDGE and it is big time headache.

OEM are the people who make and supply to equipment manufacturers as per their specifications. Not every one is OEM. Chinese has screwed up meaning of OEM. OEM can not use original brand name as they are bound by non disclosure agreement. Sending legal notice to rediff could teach them a lesson. Try including samsung for making your case stronger.

^ I am unable to search my post in past where I posted some information (not sure if with screen shots) on my NOTE 2, That time I used same charger and 3 different OEM cables, they were samsung original for N2, Kindle and Nokia N97 cable. They all gave different figure. I will post with screen again if I can find various cables. I am really not aware about after market cables though.

Cables are very important for battery and charging circuit protection on phone mother board. Most OEM cables has current limiting circuit. So using aftermarket cables may affect battery and main board. People who are using can check using galaxy charging current app. Different cable with same charger will have different charging currents. Faulty cable or mismatch pin alignment or wave form of power supply or noise in power can cause phone restarts or damaged socket or battery or main board. It some time depends on safety incorporated by phone manufacturer. Non OEM car chargers are worst thing to use.

Flashed NE2 (Stock), Every thing is working OK, including DATA Procedure - followed Extracted MD5 file and selected following to make MD5 file in NOTE 2 tool kit from skipsoft (I have pro version) boot.img cache.img hidden.img recovery.img system.img Flashed created MD5 file without wiping data and it upgraded. Data was working even with old radio. Rooted by flashing custom recovery (used TWRP) and SU by Note 2 toolkit. Rebooted and checked for root. Flashed modem.bin from extracted files by ODIN. Data working fine, RAM usage seems to be lower but this is just a primary observation. Yet to debloat.

Extract files from MD5 file, use note 2 tool kit to make ODIN FLASH ABLE files from required image files.

4.4.2 ODIN file downloaded from team US cellular, will try flashing phone tomorrow, Planning to flash only SYSTEM first, if it works well then try flashing radio and if it works fine then KERNEL. Lets hope samsung has not added any further restrictions.

If it has no LTE why invest so high on average specked handset? HTC still seems to be treating Indian market as second class market. AFAIK most current Qualcomm chipsets support all LTE bands.

Thanks for information. It is so disappointing that 4G is not unlocked on Indian version. Are they serious about indian market? If LG or APPLE can do it why not htc and samsung?

AFAIK HTC 816 is not officially launched in India. As per info given by HTC dealer in Ahmedabad it is yet to be launched and most probably it will be launched with Indian 4G (Band 40) support. If it do not support 4G then now it is useless buy. I am sure by the end of this year we will get 4G. One sold on flipkart is said to be imported one.
