Samsung processors are faster. I have seen on moment that 800 mhz was faster than 1ghz of incredible. Battery life on gsm may be acceptable. Good phone IMO for given price

Why any one would manufacture such thing in India? IMO, India is loosing its manufacturing edge, what ever it has right now is slowly loosing its ground due to increasing capital cost, inefficient work force and complicated taxation.

<br /><br /><br />Not by intend but voda and airtel do compell people to choose them. They both are polite Both have good network perhaps best amongst GSM gang. Though not comparable to RCDMA. They have created brand image of proud ownership. I know people who are proud to be voda user (premium) Reliance some how is not a recognized brand for upmarket users. Its brand of poor and their handsets reinforces belief. Worst, rude and powerless customer care and thick skinned CC managers. Image of cheaters due to initial billing issues and inheritant CDMA problem of call timers of handset. Almost all non CDMA users believs that reliance charge meter start as soon as it starts ringing. CDMA will be saved only because of locked handsets. I believe many subscribers will leave CDMA when they will have to change handsets. They will rather go for MNP and GSM.

Dual Mode in GSM means GSM + UMTS band. Combination of bands differs from country to country. AFAIK

It appears still porting has not picked up as it should. I came across people who are waiting to hear experience of others before porting their numbers. There are subscribers like me who wants to port at-least 1 number to begin with (Airtel want to port) but unable to decide operator due to network problem in office and also 3G launch. I came across BSNL customers who believe that in next few months BSNL will be least congested due to lots of people porting out, hence its wise to remain with BSNL because only BSNL offers LL to BSNL mobile free ADVANTAGE. So there are many criterion which user consider and remain in indecisive state. IMO

It is about packs. Activating gprs is easy. For gprs tariff pack its available try STV only.

I think all entry level LG handsets offer all u want plus excellent battery life.

I will suggest to discuss every thing here and let telco learn their lessons, secure their networks and make every thing safer. Loopholes must be plugged as they are unsafe. Companies are so foolish if one approach and expalin directly they will ignore.

1x, voice will get blocked. Using evdo is the nly remedy.

Check UA string and change to desktop To check type about:debug in browser address bar -> settings -> UA string Check desk top and see if it works.

I got call from airtel 2 days back stating my sms to port before week or so. Guy requested me to remain with airtel as its largest service provoder so on net benefits are more than other operators. When I said I want network issue in my office to be resolved in 1 week if they want me to remain with them he said will revert in 48 hrs but no call even after about 40 hours.

Shift to docomo and enjoy 3G at cost of 2G

@vinayji After a long long time, its pleasure to read your comments about health. I started weight training at 14 along with martial arts and did it till 30, then for 10 years due to scr***d up priorities, I became very very irregular in exercise and at 40 I started with yog. I plan to start self weight bearing exercises april 2011 and probably weights along with yog in jan 2012. BTW, I am 178 cms tall and 73 kgs today. I became 62 in 2007 due to TB. Habit to Exercise is the best thing parents can gift a child. IMHO.
