Ppc 6700 is evdo capable but it do not support evdo on OMH. Ruim. OMH has split prl. Means first if handset get authenticated on 1X, evdo prl become accessible to phone. Means ruim has 2 PRL. All non OMH devices supports only first 1x PRL. So it always remain connected to 1x only.

Perhaps gym or subscription to some sport activity is best idea. These days physical activity is next to zero due to so many reasons.

What is the correct version of QPST for BlackBerry Curve 9330?
kshah replied to cavarun's topic in BlackBerry
Cdma workshop and qxdm These are only two universal tools. Qxdm I am not sure though. -

Anxiously waiting for MNP. What ever may be the consequency I am gonna switch my both operators. Airtel and reliance. Airtel due to poor tariff and reliance due to closed door for foreign handsets and evdo. -
Iphone and android has its own niche. Iphone is iphone. It can have only iphone killers. Iphone can not be killer as its very modest phone. If I phone cdma has same cpu, I doubt if it will give same user experince like gsm due to higher data throughput.

QPST is said to be incompatible with BB, dont try to mess with BB using QPST, it will corrupt your BB -
I have seen repeatedly that epic latches to satellite faster when moving in car. While standing it some time take ages or never latches. Another interesting observation is unless epic sees more than 5 satellite it doesn't latches one any one. It start latching only after it sees 6th satellite.

66 lakh crore in swiss bank and expect railway to go bankrupt for 6600 crore??? What a joke. Sensationalizing each and every information is trend.
-
When you start any application like google map or other navigation program, gps radio will get fix from satellites. Samsung galaxy or facinate range has gps locking issue. In some phones it takes ever to latch to gps satellite. There are so called solutions which may work for some may not work for some.

You know how difficult to diallow rworld password. Their revenue model is based ln Rworld and give them 10-15% revenue. Cdma has problem on evdo front. Even on verizon or sprint people are exploiting evdo loophole like any thing.

EVDO speed in Ahmedabad too is pathatic. Only advantage is phone do not remain busy and can receive incoming call. Else EVDO now a days is no fun. Amitji rightly said. 1X would be more efficient. Anyways, reliance has chosen to axe its own feet by giving EVDO on fascinate. IMO

Telcos Join Hands To Offer 3G Services
kshah replied to Karthik R's topic in Indian Telecom / General News
RGSM otherwise also in cold. This means 3G is going to be cartel hence in most cases unaffordable. They will still continue to stall BSNL and MTNL development plans by creating hurdles in their bids and tenders. Subscribers are going to remain on 2G for another 2 years. Any ray of hope is on MDA - LTE venture. So now time to CHILL for another 3 years. Only excitement would be MNP. -

22nd jan is here in gujarat as well as per reliance CC Do not expect following from reliance 1. Meid registration due to inherent vulnerability of clonning. Akey is almost impossible for reliance in next few years due to OTAP inability from handset as well as reliance system. Even OMH ruim are not fully AKEY capable. 2. EVDO openly unless they are willing to sacrifice their meagre 1x data revenue. EVDO means free for life EVDO in present scenario. To patch they have to sacrifice almost all BB users and RWORLD revenue. To patch immediately they have to risk discard of almost 100% handsets and rpleace them with new handsets. 3. Voice data simultanous due to unwillingness of operators and qualcomm. Even if implemented there are no handsets as on today in. Market. 4. Great handset with OMH support as USA is not willing. -

CDMA In India – Past, Present And Future
kshah replied to rajanmehta's topic in Indian Telecom / General News
Till EVDO Rev 0, it was true that CDMA is more data centric standard than GSM. SInce last one decade GSM has evolved a lot and its almost as efficient as CDMA in terms of spectrum efficiency and data transfer rates. EDGE Class 8, 10 and MCS 9, GSM can not be considered inefficient or poor in terms of data. It is another story that most GSM networks are fragmented in India hence there is no consistency like GSM network. 3GSM operates on 2100 mhz which makes it inferior than 800 Mhz CDMA or EVDO. Else GSM 3GSM standard supports VOICE DATA SIMULTANOUS which is not the case in CDMA rev-A CDMA Rev-B is still far from reality in India and even if say Rev-B comes today how many handset really support it? CDMA is here to stay and its going to attract people like us who like to waste time on crac**ng and tweaking. CDMA attract people because of inherent security lapses and vulnerability to exploits. -
3G Roll Out Will Be Big Challenge
kshah replied to Karthik R's topic in Indian Telecom / General News
TELCO now making hue and cry? What their think tanks were doing while biddng? Data has a long long way to go in india. Does india has electricity prnetration as much as phones? If not how mobiles are charged? India has about 65% electricity penetration. So ideally cellular can not go beyond 65% Urban area has 93% electricity penetration.
