Excellent report. But I doubt active users data. IMO, cdma may have more number of active users than GSM. GSM may not have even 50% ACTIVE USERS. CDMA technology has certain limitations which makes it highly vulnerable to network exploitation and as on today no remedy available for it. (No discussion please). That keeps even operators in problems. OMH addresses them too quite an extent. But it will take years before OMH become norm.

It is the fact that psu are best service providers. Days are gone when tghey were poor performer. Look at the depth and breath of their reach and they cater to non profitable segments as well. BSNL and MTNL are not able to provide quality services because of private companies. Every tender is challanged by one or the other bidder and most of the times backed by private cellular operator. This is the fact wether we like it or not. Instead of expressing our view points haphazardly citizenlike us should ask for information using RTI and make firm statements. If you really use phone for Looooooooooooong talks. Dont go for Android phones except Samsung Fascinate or Epic . In my opinion non official BB would be best for your kind a use. Else LG phones are good for battery life.

I may switch my operators every 60-90 days till I get good coverage and better data plan at my office and home. RCDMA network in Ahmedabad is worsening so may switch my Airtel No to MTS first then may be my RCDMA to DoCoMo or Idea who ever gives me better 3G tariff and network at these 2 locations

No DJ17 it was posted on xda, I downloaded modem.bin and updated modem. Later on arrival of DK17, I deleted modem.bin I redownloaded again today but unable to flash phone with the same. I can downgrade radio up to DG07 but not DJ17. It gave me best battery and gps latch speed. update : Dhiraj is right, it was DK not DJ, sorry.

Gps is perfect I. Dk28. Better accuracy tghan dk18 but takes longer to latch than dk18. Froyo has typical screen update lag which I dislike. Fresh install after wipe causes very few problems

Motorola droid 2 pro or global is primarily cdma handset and in cdma video calling is not possible till rev B is implemented so despite epic 4g having front camara its not capable of video callin on cdma.
