Lot has been written about battery life of Droid RAZR MAXX over the internet and every one agree to the fact that it gives best possible battery life in compact most possible package. Last month I was on a day trip to Mumbai, I disconnected photon from charger at 530 AM and was to return by 530 evening, however flight got delayed and when landed at 700 PM in Ahmedabad, battery was showing 10%, phone remained in airplane mode for about 2 hours out of total usage of about 13.5 hours. What I did during the day time was made calls of about 15-20 minutes, used tapatalk for aobut an hour and replied few emails. Total screen ON time was 1 hour 10 minutes + EVDO data thats all. This really put me off and decided to either quit android if I do not get good battery life. HetalDP suggested me to look into RAZR MAXX. Hence this phone. I got my Droid RAZR MAXX few days back but could not post review because I had no LTE SIM require to enable data on it - after upgrading to ICS Pros 1. Excellent battery life 2. Very slim for 3300 mAh batter. 3. AMOLED display (I like AMOLED display, though LCD are more natural in color and looks more real. For those who love to watch movies on screen AMOLED is too artificial) Cons 1. Because I am coming from photon, I find it too slim to hold. :-) 2. Non user removable battery 3. Upgrade to ICS require LTE SIM From verizon else DATA do not work. 4. 5-6 hours charging time. 5. Not available for cheap. Real batter life screen shots USAGE PATTERN - 1 Week day usage, screen time about 2 hours 55 minutes hours, heavy data, moderate calling (40-50 minutes) - Battery after about 15 hours 50%, I recharged battery further. May last for max 24 hours USAGE PATTERN - 2 Removed charger on 19th morning at 6 AM, data continuous ON, WIFi OFF, BT ON Battery after 1 DAY 15 HOURS 10% USAGE OF BATTERY WHEN 10% left OVERALL experiance, pleasant because so far none of smart phone has given such good battery life.

Other preinstalled softs are whatsapp, Twitter, Office suite, Email for Exchange, GAPPS Available on board Memory : 1.5 GB, in setting there is option to select default installation location as Internal / external memory GPS Performance : Excellent, better than my NOTE 2 Software bugs : Has not hanged so far in last 10 days but when I installed SWIFT KEY, input method changes to default after every reboot or some times MAY BE randomly. RAM : I have not felt that it needs more RAM to do basic jobs or productivity jobs. I gave my son to play subway surfer to check if it stalls but he did not complaint. Office, E mail, Browser works smoothly. Large page rendering takes time probably because of Android stock browser and 300 MB Free RAM. RAM management is good. I have not observed phone becoming sluggish.

I am not trying to be little Nilkeni. I judged him in the fact that he put across very important project for national security but when political system understood implications on illegal migrants and their vote bank they gradually watered down project and reduced it to merely a identity card for proof of address and DOB. I want to program Android Phone with tasker as following: When phone is connected to USB / AC source, it automatically start recording video on SD card. Every 5 - 10 minutes,, it will pause for a moment and start new recording, while it is recording screen remains OFF. Camera stops as soon as USB power is OFF. Purpose: I want to install entry level android phone as IN DASH camera to record on going traffic. I have used this application on android phone and it works pretty well as DASH CAM https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.hovans.autoguard It starts recording as soon as phone is connected to charger and stops recording once charger is disconnected. Once can buy low cost JB handset and install with appropriate car mount and charger to have fully automated DASH CAM. In case of need can be used as NAVIGATION system if SYGIC is installed.

Is samsung digging it's own grave? IMHO samsung has became so popular because of developers interest. Motorola is example of fate of a product and company with locked bootloader and loads of restrictions. If android became so restrictive I am sure ios or wp8 would be choice of many as they are stable and less power intensive os.

Try downgrading radio and see if endo comes up. I assume that programming is proper and evdo active for given handset.

Smart Action of Moto is very user friendly where as tasker is for advanced user. For person like me Tasker is too much. Tasker can do lot many more things than SmartAction though.

Problem is not resolution, problem is quality of image. In most camera CCD / CMOS used are of such poor quality that number of on coming vehicle is never readable.
