  1. Phone For Email

Yes, Guru, But I dont understand where am I suspicious? I always say, I use and enjoy google. I really like android, but it doenst mean that I do not appreciate WM7? I never liked palm Pre (Web OS, it was brilliant though) and it failed in market doesn't give me right to think that what I thought was correct. And believe me as I mentioned I never consider any thing ultimate. That's why I am enjoying android today but I appreciate Iphone more than android because they laid path. I still appreciate old PALM OS for its simplicity, speed and stability as well as sync abilities with PC. I like WM 6 / 6.5 too for few of its features and even Symbian though its dying. Also there is nothing like big, small, slow or fast. Once upon a time yahoo was big, fast and furious, now its google's turn. Tomorrow something else will come. Best would be to accept all possible solutions in market without being judgemental about it. Also keeping our option open so that we accept technology at reasonable pace and also keeping our mind closed enough that we do not become slave of technology and virtual world. After all we live in real world.

^^ I will never accept any thing as ultimate. Google or android, they will have competition, if not today, may be some times in future. I am using them both extensively but they can never be ultimate for me.
  3. Phone For Email

Not really, I have faced problem of Push Mail solution and searched a lot finally settled on google mail hosting and yahoo site hosting. We have to be very neutral about our opinions. I have never believed any thing as ultimate solution for any problem. Google is hosting my domain mail for free today still I do not agree that I can not have any better option than google, it is the best today, I get 7 GB + storage for 100 accounts. But not all corporate can switch to google due to one or the other reason, which we might not be aware of. One of my friend is IT manager in multinational company based in US and Ahmedabad (manufacturing) they had similar problem and wanted to switch to real timme push mail. I suggested them gmail hosting only and was rejected outright by their US principal. He can not disclose their objection to me but one of them was security. We all are here to give suggestions which should be neutral and let selection be based on merits. Again, google is great option for many - I would say for 70-80% people like us But it doesn't mean that it can cater to needs of all. Forwarding is very crude option for corporate emailing. Many mail servers mark mails as spam when reply mail address is different than one from which it originated. So my purpose is to warn people that just android and google are not the only options. There are specific option for specific requirements,
  4. Cookie Zip - LG RD 510

It has built in mail client AFAIK
  5. Phone For Email

Currently MVL (G81) has launched abusiness phone with qwerty keypad and pushmail with about 3 email accounts in the price range of Rs.4500 to Rs.5500/-. it is the only handset with this feature.. and dual sim I am trying to get some user reviews but difficult to find as the handset is just about launched a couple of days back. Personally, i am making up my mind to go with MVL g81 from the market and BB7130e offerd here only Android supports only free mails like yahoo, G mail, MSN etc. True pushmail is supported by Nokia and BB as well as few other solutions like funamobile etc. MVL G81 is dual SIM and I ordered yesterday only after talking to his sales guy in Ahmedabad. Ofcourse phone is not going to be delivered to me, it will be delivered to person in Mumbai who needed dual SIM phone with push mail. Those who wants real time mail on corporate mail servers or paid mail servers should not get carried away by android propaganda. I use android and business mail but that is because my company mail is hosted on google servers.
  6. Hero battery in particular and android in general is very poor. in Nokia N97 with continuous 3G on, battery last more than 24 hours. Where as in hero, EVDO ON, battery will last less than 16 hours. Thats the difference. Both have 1500 mA battery.
  7. BlackBerry 9800 Torch (GSM) launched in US

If any one is talking about comparison of RIM, Android, WM and Symbian. One must keep in mind that newer OS like android and MAC OSX do not have baggage of past. Hence they perform better. I am sure in next 2-3 years android too will have same issue like WM, RIM and Symbian. BB builds best hardware - next to iphones. OS is slick and simple but not as peppy as Mac OSX and Android. Android support only Gmail, yahoo or few free mail service providers, not all corporate mails or not all mail servers, Here blackberry wins any day. Only Nokia messaging could be compared with BB as on now - when variety of mail servies are taken in to consideration. BB, QWERTY are the best and if KB is of right width its fun to use. Landscape KB are not as convenient as Portrait. I am sure BB has done good brain storming in choosing Portrait KB.
  8. BlackBerry 9800 Torch (GSM) launched in US

I dont think only processor speed is benchmark for OS speed. 600 Mhz is pretty fast if OS is not burdened with backward compatibility issues.
  9. Evdo is any day better than 3gsm due to stability and better coverage due to 800 mhz. Wimax is still in initial phase of implementation but certainly future belongs to it. It will be then known as LTE
  10. 1X And Evdo In Cdma Curve

on 1X phone will be busy while BIS data transfer is ON
  11. 1X And Evdo In Cdma Curve

for EVDO on 8330 one has to be very persistent with reliance. First activate BIS plan 299 and threat them to disconnect if EVDO not activated. If not done, go to higher plan and same tactics again. If lucky they will activate. Also contacts can do magic. But afterall no guarantee in reliance
  12. Smart One

This a smart one...worth forwarding endlessly... . An ingenious example of speech and politics occurred recently in the United Nations Assembly that made the world community smile. A representative from India began: 'Before beginning my speech I want to tell you something about Rishi Kashyap of Kashmir, after whom Kashmir is named. When he struck a rock and it brought forth water, he thought, 'What a good opportunity to have a bath.' He removed his clothes, put them aside on the rock and entered the water. When he got out and wanted to dress, his clothes had vanished. A Pakistani had stolen them.' The Pakistani representative jumped up furiously and shouted, 'What are you talking about? The Pakistanis weren't there then.' The Indian representative smiled and said, 'And now that we have made that clear, I will begin my speech. 'And they say Kashmir belongs to them" This is one mail I recommend to be shared with 'ALL INDIANS' including the world at large.

  14. Infibeam Dual Sim Windows Mobiles @ Low Cost

are the windows ? Where they have mentioned?
  15. Blackberry Ban In UAE, Saudi Arabia

Good , if blackberry is transper!ntt and respect local law they should not have any problem in putting up servers locally. Why doubt Chinese only, why not us and Canada or Europe for security concerns?
  16. What does it mean it will screw phone ? I have done twice. When changing provision para like serials. I have heard this before as well so curious.
  17. Suggest Me A Gsm Smart Phone Under 15 K

you want GPS navigation : So best is Nokia with OVI Maps (HTC or other WM can have cracked apps but why choose cracked when you get official licensed stuff?, so I suggested N97) Bigger screen : N97 has great screen, better than WM or 65K colors Music : 32 GB so N97 wins Battery: GSM wins any day over CDMA. Nokia are better than most other brands. Smart phone : Symbian s60V5 is not as smart as android (DK will be happy ) but smart enough for your application. GSM data is cheaper if at all you require to use online maps like google maps (Nokia N97 supports Google maps as well)
  18. Suggest Me A Gsm Smart Phone Under 15 K

N97 has bigger screen and free offline navigation for life, so it will cost far less than google maps and navigation. Google maps are very detailed but for navigation OVI maps are more precise. N97 has on board 32 GB, for music lovers its boon and battery life is reasonably good on GSM. UMTS its little better than CDMA.
  19. Suggest Me A Gsm Smart Phone Under 15 K

buy some old Nokia N97 will meet all your requirements.
  20. Mein kuch nahi bolunga, DK ko lagta hai mein taang khichta hu.
  21. It's true for all wireless or wired technology as every one has limited bandwidth available per bts. For wired ADSL too this is true.

  23. Best Android Phone On Gsm Platform?

Iphone ke liye achha bola????????????????? :( Acer makes some good Android devices at much better price. They are very well built as well.
  24. Cdma 1X Vs Gprs

Push mail or IMAP idle is not data extensive usage unless you are getting or sending too many attachments. For reliable pushmail gprs or 1x is adequete. And 2 gb data is enough. In cdma you will have very little flexibility of handsets unless you are willing to waste time on handsets cracking etc. Imo for mails and im gsm is good enough. It's cheap as on today and people says now a days new technology edge support voice data simulations. Which is dream in even evdo.
