check if you have to configure com port. and also check all services are enabled. Try disabling nokia pc suite and don't let it monitor any port / hardware. SOme how new PC studio from samsung is almost clone of nokia pc suite including driver names.

Yes, airtel do have frequent outage issue. How ever they are able to keep customer dissatisfaction within check due to superior CC. few weeks back it was down for 3 hours.

I fully agree with Dr. Mufaddal. Android with EVDO is fun. Corby or LG cookie can never be compared with android. 20K is almost reasonable. Why consider hero superior, just because it has capacitive screen? Capacitive screen is certainly fun. But we must remember that we are second or third class consumers for them.

Why 1X, when they say EVDO is enabled? After 5 minutes - if data do not work means phone is not recovering from dormancy.

Nokia CDMA are worst. IMO, its better to buy LG and samsung. I have faced problems in all Nokia CDMA handset I bought and they either took more than 2 weeks to address smallest of complaint or they charge fortune when out of warranty. I have used Nokia 6225, 6155, 2830 and 6235. All performed far below acceptable level.

Which car charger is suitable for HTC hero? I did following but nothing works: (Battery does not charge) 1. Nokia to Mini USB convertor 2. Car charger with USB port and original cable 3. Car inverter (having DC output) and using Motorola AC charger. Same AC charger work when on mains. Also if I use original Hero charger on same inverter it works. Any suggestions? I am not getting original motorola car chargers in AHmedabad so have not tried.

in symbian if you choose .wav format than beep is not supressed properly. If you choose AMr then quality is not so great. New windows phone support two way call conversation recording in great quality and that too in mp3 format. THE BEST of all still for call recording is PALM OS and callrec software Records in WAV format - of crystal clear quality, no beep, very small footprint so no slowdown of system. If you wish to use Android, than airvoice on version 1.5 is of acceptable quality but file naming and software is very primitive.

reboot loops are many times caused because of Apps2SD and corrupt memory card so that ext2 can not be loaded. I too faced similar problem after clockwork mod, later I had to delete all partitions and redo entire memory card. Check your memory card, else what HP said could be final.

repartition SD card remove ext partition and see.

If your old Rom was app2sd capable, first wipe every thing in recovery, then install original Rom through ruu . U may have to check memory card too

nokia is cheap and of better quality than any other. So go for nokia. But ensure to buy for priority dealer or croma or such reputed place.

local brand phones are really very well built. Only area they are lacking is firmware quality. Else they give best value for money.

Sense UI makes HTC devices better than others. However basic Android too is as powerful. My few days with MOTO Droid (thanks to HP & sadik) makes me believe that nonsense :-) devices are faster than sense ful devices and has more free RAM for programs.
