Reliance has plans for non proxy based access too,where UN & PW is phone number. Once you subscribe to any plan they do not have any other charge like CDMA in GSM services. I have tested for few days on prepaid, subscribing various services. There are bugs though. Like say for an example you have activated Rs. 99 plan for a month, you deactivate next day (All done on thru RWORLD). Any new activations will be deducted for plan period. Means if you deactivate monthly plan next day, reactivating means fresh deduction of money.

OHM though is a good concept, CDMA operators are yet as closed as before. Take an example of Samsung Corby. Cosumer has to buy corby, go to WW, request them, follow them to get EVDO activated and still they are at risk of loosing service if they put SIM in another handset. I hope that operator changes themselves in course of time and make life easier. There are lot many members of rimweb using EVDO enabled handsets since years yet they are wasting time on finding ways to use EVDO on their handsets. Recently I went to small villages in Gujarat, while talking with them I came to know that Airtel has worked a lot in providing info services for agriculture and they were very happy with them. I asked them about internet, browsers and other stuff. To my surprise, they had some knowledge but were not aware about exact benefits of the same as though they were literate, problem was about information language, i.e. English. There are translation services available but none for Mobile browsers. Now my idea is to make browser based on Opera Mini Model: How it should work 1. Its small foot print browser installable on JAVA based mobile. 2. While setup / start up it ask for language of choice. 3. So when user enter web site address or search address, browser send request to PROXY server and proxy server translate page in desired Indian language - then send to browser.

Who would use Android? Also I think translation on proxy would be more precise than device. Also proxy can compress pages better. I think it should be java browser configured to connect translation proxy.

Does any of Rimwebian knows about riots in gujarat in 1967 or around? when there was Congress government? (More people were killed during this riots than 2002 riots) 2002 riots were reactionary riots and no one can forget that fact that 52 innocent Indians - incidentlaly Hindus - were burnt alive in train. Even it wiull be interesting to note that central government report says that number of hindus and muslims killed during riots were almost same. Almost identical number of hindus as well as muslims were killed in police firing. I travel 25 kms to go to my work every day passing thru' hindu and muslim dominant area and I travelled during all days of so called riots in Ahmedabad. Radiation blockage require expensive metals so I doubt if shielding is good in cheap phone. Try using hands free for few days to check if phone quality is causing problem.

Very true, in fact armed forces must be most paid people with best of the facilities. In India its exact opposite. I am trying for it. I thought following two ways. 1. Trying to change UA string of android browser so that we can cheat NG pay server. However Android phone US string can be changed to 3 options, i.e. android, iphone and desktop. So changing to desktop may help to log on to bank sites. Hero browser is identified as Safari 3.1.2 2. Agreed its one of the major problem, but you will be surprised when we really do introspection, our thoughts, economic models and social models are all made to base on the unknown assumption that consumption will increase due to increase in population, even medical technology is based on same assumption.
