you are right, calls do not get merged. Also conference is active on post paid. Airtel charges Rs. 25 per month, so I thought must be the same for reliance.

My favorite subject I go little further than what is mentioned above. reduce personal pollution How?????? 1. Reduce usage of soaps (It kills biological activity in water, thereby causing lots of dead water) 2. Reduce consumption of electronic stuff, clothes, personal accessories. 3. Limit usage of Deo / perfumes. Even NON CFC cans. Non CFC cans are good for ozone but they are atleast 10- 30 times more potency as green house agents than carbon dioxide. 4. Use good quality taps, faucets, flushes and cisterns to minimize usage of water. After urination use half flush rather than full flush. There are cistern available which can flush in less than 15 litre of water. More in next episode.

Nokia N8 To Be Announced At Mwc With Symbian^3, 12Mp, 720P Recording
kshah replied to SantoshRoyal's topic in Nokia
probably soon all mobile dvices will become cheaper with new convergent devices on horizon. Like ipad or Android based small tablets. -
symbian is OS with loads of possibility, corby is value for money sort of handset. Both are real good handsets though. If corby and N 5800 are having same price band, I will prefer 5800 any day because of symbian. Also free navigation and GPS is added advantage.

As per standards SMS delivery report is generated upon delivery to receiver system. However in order to avoid congestion, many networks do not accept message for queue if mobile is out of coverage or not connected. So reliabilitydepends on implementation of receiver system rather than technology

But conferencing need to be activated on reliance services first.

Problem is when you want to have multiple mail ID. Gmail client works on IMAP idle only but can not be configured for multiple mail ID's. Nokia Symbian and palm Pre support IMAP IDLE out of box for multiple accounts. Even from different services. We may not require BB, but we can never rule out or ignore other people's requirement. Editing using Document to Go is recent. Also cloud computing is good but its always good to have data accessible off line. I have my own reservations for over the air data. I need atleast 1 copy off line.

My Brief comparision of WM, Symbian and Android (Only OS functionalities - may be important and critical) See image

Airvoice said to work only on G1, G2 and G3. I tried today only but it fails to install necessary files, as gives some permission errors. Few good apps I installed on my phone Dictionary : colordict Task killer : Advanced task killer and qutomatic tak killer File browser : astro Compass Desktop SMS Mobisle note (Eaven Easy Note is good) K9 mail (IMAP idle mails, multiple accounts) Precisely (To send google map GPS locations by SMS and email) SMS Back up (Thanks dkalie) SMSS backup and restore (Thanks dkalie) Ndrive (Navigation, Thanks Dr. Muffaddal)

Is Droid (Verizon Version Of Hero) Screen Scratch Resistant / Proof
kshah posted a topic in General Technical Discussion
I found this on XDA -
For those of a nervous disposition try this tip on the D:\ drive of a non-vital machine. It worked for me on Windows 7 (best), also Windows Server 2008 R2, and Vista 32-bit. Warning! Vista 64-bit users Beware! There are numerous reports that GodMode causes some 64-bit versions of Vista to crash, the only solution was to boot into safe mode and remove that GodMode folder. One more thing, the new folder needs to be called not plain GodMode, but this string: GodMode.{ED7BA470-8E54-465E-825C-99712043E01C} 1. Launch Windows Explorer (Not Internet Explorer) 2. Right Click in a blank area. 3. Click on 'New'. 4. Select 'Folder' (from the shortcut menu). 5. Name it: GodMode.{ED7BA470-8E54-465E-825C-99712043E01C} When your magic folder arrives, you could double click, then try re-sizing its columns to display the description and even the keywords. Actually, its label does not have to be GodMode, you could rename it, for example I call mine GuyMode. If you have 32-bit Vista or Windows 7, then you can see over 30 sections with quick links to configuration settings. If you have 64-bit Vista, then I would be cautious, and be prepared to boot into safe-mode or command-line only.

Is it a hardware issue or can it be resolved? And moreover as I have already specified there is only 1 SID/NID entered in the phone. where as in Tata Indicom Settings there are around 8 different SID/NID which I can see in my Diamond. How to enter more of them? In tata its very important to enter all provisioning data. What you can do is make QPST file with all provisioning data - open QPST - select off line and select right phone / device) enter all privisionind data include PRL. SAve . Then connect phone - once connected to QPST, select QCN file made and write. If you get PRL write error, dont worry, you can always use CDMA workshop 2.7 to write PRL. Also choose right PRL in tata. Tata AFAIK, uses various PRL depending on region and in you do not have right PRL then roaming causes problem.

Reliance customer care and over all system is one of the most complicated amongst all operators. Not only that it has many loop holes and bugs, which many times remain unpligged for years. Their confirmatory SMSes are very ill formatted, activation of smallest service or request takes ages and automated processes like activation by SMS / Web works erratically. At times it do not work for days. BTW, if you have GSM, go to web browser and open web browser using Reliance (RWORLD) APN then click on various links to activate mobile internet plan of your choice (non proxy based)
