I am sure Windows & will be much better after Vista fiasco. Microsoft always has this problem, their alternate version of Windows is usable. After 3.1 Win 98 was best, then came ME was pathatic and XP turn out to be good. Now after vista I am sure Windows 7 will be usable. -

Its not only about buying power, it is also about how society has been using services. I phone is successful only in US because of two reasons: 1. US openness to accept new innovative technology, even if it do not meet certain basic functionality criteria. Not only Iphone, there has been man other product which go successful in US. I give you one example of Indian product http://solsons.com/ this guy makes some of most innovative handtools in world. All are patented and superb innovation. I have met his director long back. He said in US there were long QUEUE out side store before TV program was over. It was about "POPspanner" 2. Implementation of legal system, where Most US citizen can not escape from contract terms and conditions. Same applies to companies. Hence they can have long term contracts. In India reliance tried to tie customers in 3 year contract when they launched services, but utterly failed. 3. Unawareness about convinience of unlocked, freely changeable handsets, hence they do not mind remaining tied to one handset for 2 years. -

Formerly it was USD 199 and they charge USD 20 per month for data too. All bull***t and non sense. They do not reduce prices. May have dropped 50 bucks nothing more than that. Memory prices are going downwards, so obviously they can reduce thats much. I have used iphone of my sister for few days, its a good multimedia phone. Thats all. Nothing more than that. Very well designed OS. But not meant for serious business use / even serious fun user who would like to exploit device fully. -
Its net work feature. If you have symbian handset there are many software available.

Please please please don't waste money. If you read about compost, drying, yield and labor viz a viz revenue its bot worth. Also quality is matter of concern. Most cases buyer (usually people who conduct seminars ) change price to lower side after few deals and makes growing economical hence you quit without bitterness and growers think that its marketplace which decides prices and you are helpless.

Please look at my billing screen shot. I am using SIP phone on my nokia E71. Its so cheap. Cheaper than even STD if at Rs. 1.5 Check screen shot. I have used in on My E71 and Wifi connection using www.terrasip.com services. -
Hard reset usually do not reset PRL. Have you done PRI reset? If so you have to reload PRL and NAM setting. BTW is your phone really RUIM based? Certain radio versions do not support RUIM in mogul. I am not using so can't say any more.

My observation is VOIP is better on computer than that of mobile handset. May be because of processing power !!!!!!!! -

VOice quality was Good and perhaps acceptable about 1 second time lag (First time in my life I have used VOIP so dont know much). I know because last call to reliance mobile was between my two phones in my office only. It was tested on Wifi with 2 MBPS and 256 kbps broad band connection of Airtel (bahrain, USA and Indian call) and tata respectively (UK call). -
^^^ Yes, as long as ESN is same as it was on equipment.

MVNO is certainly a good concept but unfortunately indian service providers and customers are not behaving responsibly. Operators wants all money to them selves and consumers do not want to go for little unknown brand even if its cheap. CDMA MVNO should be more successful than GSM principally, due to handset policies. Same policies if extended to MVNO then it may not succeed. Talk to operators, send them mails repeatedly they may reply you. Keep thinking and trying success is always there,

Every body compares palm KB with E71, I must say E71 KB too is not as great. E61 was much better, due to simple fact that size (width) was more. There is always bargain. About OS, apple MAC OS is really great OS for Multimedia with so so many flaws. Yet , because its apple and its tolerated.Which Applications were available when Iphone was launched? Worst part of iphone is you have to first give your credit card details even if you want to install free of charge applications. Mistake palm is making is to launch it in confined environment of CDMA, if they come with GSM, unlocked, I am sure it will hit it Europe and Asia.

Visit this, I do not like such thing but its useful for many. http://www.zozoc.cn/

You can try and check for palm treo 755p too. Snapper mail is really good. If you want to go for GSM then symbian phone of your choice with profimail and imap idle for google mail is just superb.

Definitive Guide To Enable Sip / Voip Phone On Nokia E71 & E90
kshah posted a topic in General Technical Discussion
VOIP settings on Nokia E71 and E 90 seems to be broken may be they do not want to alienate cellular operators as on 3G one can save lots of money using VOIP. I did settings for terrasip so they are true for them but I am sure one can follow same method for other SIP services too. 1. Download VOIP settings from nokia site 2. Install on your phone. 3. Create SIP settings. At Menu -> tools ->settins -> Connection -> SIP settings -> options -> New sip profile -> use default profile create profile as per your SIP service provider settings. They are available from them only. For terrasip check here 4. Create internet telephone settings At Menu -> tools ->settins -> internet tel -> option -> new profile, it will create profile on its onw. 4. Open SIP VOIP setting (application you installed) May be in tools 5. Click VOIP service -> Click option -> new profile -> select default profile it will create necessary profiles. You do not need to change any thing. 6. By default Nokia VOIP do not allow connection thru WCDMA if you are on 3G and has possibility of using VOIP over 3G network, you can enable at SIP VOIP settings -> VOIP services -> VOIP settings -> Profile Sttings -> Allow VOIP over WCDMA -> ON. Now you will be able to use VOIP over WCDMA also There are many other settings available but I dont think are important for people like us, they seems to be useful for geeks. Now toy use internet telephony do following 1. Menu -> communications -> Internet tel ->if you are on WiFi you will get to see wifi network -> Option -> connect to service 2. If wifi is not available, I have figured out work out like this. Connect some application which is using WCDMA access point. Once connected come to Menu -> communications -> Internet tel -> here you will see your access point. Click connect to service. It may connect - may not connect. Wait for a while if you get some error, dont worry, just reboot your phone. Once rebbot you will be connected using WCDMA. Remember if you are in wifi, it will connect wifi first. I could not find solution to bypass Wifi for WCDMA yet. Please post comments and any refinements. -
