I have lost my JVM for palm as my DVD got crrupt. There one prc file which is java and another I think is in pref folder or name contain prefs. There too there are two files which create JAVA entries in PROFERENCES. In preferences there will be two memory related values, one in KB and one in MB, put both to max. Opera mini works well after ward by not perfectly.

error 3000 is problem of time out values in ROM, Even if it is configured by PST it remain there. Verizon had this problem so severe that they suspended sale of treo 755p for time being. It is said to be partially resoved after rom ver 1.07. It was there in my treo 700p too. Recycle phone and error goes away.

BB is a good OS if you like to use the phone the way manufacturer gives you. If you like too many add on softs, then BB is not OS for you. Also in name of security, they impose many limitations. BTW good phone. Why we compare every thing with iphone?

snapper mail is just superb. Speed is amazing. In treo delivery report is shown on message as deliverd or receipt pending. Best delivery report management i have seen so far - again. Will post screen shot here some day.

joking, I must say, Palm is simply superb and very powerful OS. Stupid people stopped developing after 2003 so, not it lags behind on mainly 2 areas, i.e. browser and multi tasking. If you see performance of palm 5.4.9 with 312 Mhz CPU and 64 MB RAM, its atleast twice faster than WM 6 128 MB ram, 400 Mhz CPU. Practically you dont need stylus in treos. Imagine using WM without stylus, even if it has full keyboard.

No on 755p, there is no delivery acknowledgment. It is possible if you flash it with 700P ROM and use back given by me. Infact accidentlaly I enabled it now I dont know how it happened.

This was true for 700P and 680, I dont know about 755P. XIINO is really a good browser? Iahve not tried.

Its little faster thats all. Simple interface is surely plus point. But I dont thinks its threat as of now to any browser.

I doubt EVDO. Lets hope reliance int the mean time start accepting foreign ESN and allow to configure for EVDO. I think this league will fire up on rimweb now. I left this league.

I have been shouting this on rimweb. but no one listen to me. BTW those who are interested in doing research we too can measure signal strength by using QXDM and phones compatible with QXDM (Most except nokia)

There could be difference to phone to phone, but there will surely no remarkable difference. Best way could be to contact reliance as punit said. or try installing external antena.

My ranking is based on number of call drops. But if GSM signals are not caught, I am sure CDMA signals will not be there. CDMA has lower penetration than GSM.

My office too have same problem with reliance (Network is always less than 3 bars and dancing all the time, this applies to reliance, airtel and almost all operators). I have used SAmsung, LG, Motorola, PPC, Palm, Kyocera in CDMA I rank them as under (Mentioning CDMA models I Have used, based on call drops) 1. Palm Treo 700P (Best handset I have used so far, even better than my current Nokia E 71, poor browser) 2. Motorola K1m (Very slick and robust ahndset, my partner use it) 3. Nokia 3125 (Basic and robust handset) 4. Samsung 191 (Best modem performance) 5. LG 2030 and 7230 (Best battery performance than any other handset, except palm treo) 6. Nokia 6155 (Very delicate handset) 7. PPC 6700 (No need to say any thing as good handset with poor battery life and typical WM sluggishness) 8. Kyocera 7135 (I laugh at my self that I took decision to buy this phone )

very good innovation. Why think that only Nokia or Moto or samsung only can make good handsets? There are good other manufacturers too. Poor quality chinese handsets are because of QUALITY of BUYER or IMPORTER, not manufacturer. Chinese manufacturer has policy of making according to the amount paid.

Nokia has pathetic services for CDMA handsets. Else UI and software is best.

Advantage of CDMA, better voice quality, fewer call drops, better data speed.
