hey Sadik bhai helped me, now email is configured :-) but am still trying to figure out how this piece of excellence works, if i cant make full use of it, will be a shame to me 1. how to ensure i can use wi-fi instead of tata inteternet, when in a wi-fi zone - if i go to Comm manager and deactive data connection - then wi-fi also doesnt work. earlier w-fi was working when i didnt activate tata internet, but now wi-fi isnt working though its connected 2. how to sms the pics taken from camera - i.e MMS 3. how to remove windows live search tab on homepage and put google search box instead 4. am told this device has lot of downloadable software options - which ones are a must try, and very popular? 5. does this have mp3 player, or i have to use windows media player for same ? 6. which path to use for what - there are multiple options to access one thing - and thts so confusing !

sync is working now, but even sync fails when i check on status tab - says the server could not be reached..... last attempt today 11.38 pm

you mean uninstall on the mobile or on the laptop ? coz on laptop it wasnt installed - showed faild. but strangely am able to access the storage card and copy paste the pictures to the laptop.... yeah its windows Vista on office laptop while home laptop was XP.... the active sync on mobile is kinda not responding at all - tried restarting the mobile, but none of the tabs in that section respond

am clueless, do you mean for accessing emails i need to use active sync from the programm tab ? btw i installed the windown sync from the cd on home laptop, now when im trying to install on office laptop - it saus wondown mobile center installation failed....

i tried setup for gmail - it automatically detected settings and synchronised fine and worked absolutley smoothly. but when im trying for my office emails on outlook with our server ip 198.104.144.221 - its says failed to Synchronise

hey am trying to sync my office emails - microsoft outlook - not gmail etc.... for tata mobile on internet user/password is 'internet" - got this from customer care and its working - i am able to surf internet on the IE/mozilla browser. basically email isnt syncronising....

using my office server ip 198.104.144.221 default connection is by tata for mobile on internet....

Idea seems to be higher speed advanced data card, also its plug and play means no drivers need to be installed? average speed on Idea is around 30kbs and is 3G enabled.... can any1 share thier experiences

yeah but i mean why go for 755 instead of 800 - cant be coz windows 6.1 issue as even HTC Diamond is on same operating system and is a hot seller Diamond on Tata @ 16k from sadik - windows 6.1 Treo 800 @ 11k - has wi-fi, better camera etc, on Windows 6.1 Treo 55p @ 12k - no wi-fi, weaker camera.

agreed am confused, but hope members dont mind :-) bro this thread is to discuss about treo755p ... also u seem to be confused on which hnadset to buy ...i wpuld suggest you to first single out your priorities and decide which features u want in your phon e...then read the specs of all these phones....read their reviews and then decide accordingly @amitjain this software is for palm not windows mobile and u paid 30 $ for a s/w .....u cud have serached for a solution or got some alternate solved s/w

will it work on tata indicom specially the email services ?

any1 can confirm is these are available in mumbai and will work in tata indicom

even HTC Diamond is on Window 6.1 right but people are all positive about it, no1 has reccomended to go for Treo Vs the HTC

also treo 800 has better specs, as far as windows 6.1 mobile is concerned, even HTC Diamond has same O/S, so i think it shouldnt be a big issue ?

ha but sadik selling 8830 for half the market price, any1 selling Pearl or Curve too

FM??? Bro these are professional, business Class handhelds. It is multimedia phone + Business Phone FM are in cheap phones. wiered logic !!!

sadly these TREO handsets dont have FM also though 800 is much advanced in features to 755 (camera etc), still see people reccomending 755 !!! is windows mobile that bad, i guess all Nokia phones including e71 run on windows mobile
