Yes it's jio network. Since loop codes are provided to jio hence old sim cards still reflects loop 4gSent from my E6553 using Tapatalk

Rcom claim is true but with the pinch of salt! How can rcom think that they can migrate their current CDMA subscriber to 4G services directly. Their 800 MHz band is currently utilized for CDMA operations. Looks like a distant dream for rcom

Yeah, I know that... But I am talking about (lack of) Bangalore Live Signal to Chetan ji... But here, the single towers are already fitted with equipments in Dec first week itself, but NO live signal yet, afaik... Signal will not go live as soon as tower is installed . Once all the planned BTS are installed, sites are powered ON and testing is followed. i Believe DOT would have been allowed to test the network by switching on nearby BTS and later switched off.

Nope, Network should be live at least 4-5 months before the commercial launch. Testing would happen in parallel during those 4-5months. during this time all towers should be live and RJio team should be checking with handsets network up time and performance/peer to peer calling and other value added services.

Guys, first can everybody please confirm if the Jio network is up in their cities. People having handset compatible with LTE band 40 can confirm pls. In bangalore, it is not up! Neither on Band 3 LTE! If Network is up, then only we can assume launch of service in that city or town!

Reliance will launch 4G services in Delhi, Mumbai, Gujarat, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Bihar,Kolkatta, Orissa in phase 1. This is confirmed news and final security clearance given by DOT yesterday. Mumbai and Delhi were given earlier. Phase 1 should launch on 28th Dec 2014

today news is around the circle on twitter, "Sanjay Bawfna" Telecom Talk Bloggist has tweeted with real brochures and launch time lines for Jio. He says launch coming near, few more days to go in dec 2014. Even he mentioned JIO toll free no. 18001038877. I dialed the no. and Jio executive told currently 4G network under final Testing and call center is UP and running. Launch date still not confirmed by them. But said speeds will be 100Mbps on 4G wireless broadband. Devices and plan details are yet to be revealed he told... Sanjay Bafana also tweeted that first main cities like mumbai/blore/Pune/chennai/delhi kolkatta etc will be rolled out followed by towns and villages next yr FTTH is still under construction and will be launched next yr

Not sure why the UPA government did not include a clause of roll out obligations. Rollout obligation is applicable on BWA spectrum and its somewhere march 2015

Well, launch date is still not publically notified. Speculated time period would be sept-oct 2014. Also i happened to pass many towers in my area, could see many new type of Single RAN(radio access antenna) installed on exisiting viom and indus, reliance sites, while the jio own mono pole tower being vacant. Well, new RAN could be from vodafone as they are awaiting letter of intent from DOT to start 4G service in 1800mhz band in circles where they bagged spectrum. Vodafone stores which i visited in last month says that 4g is getting launched in bangalore and work is assigned to nokia solution So not sure which opearotr is going on?

Mts is just few months due for crash landing. Their speeds are nothing to speak about and people are realising that. Very soon they will shut shop. Depressing part is that their store still has lazy executives and give little impression on luring new customers. They have this pathetic "take it or leave it attitude"

Friends, I have a question to ask. Recently bagged 1800mhz spectrum by operators will be used for 2g voice or launching FDD-LTE service. Particularly reliance jio, as jio doesn't have voice spectrum to route calls or are they planning to route calls through circuit switch fall back on 2g on 1800 MHz. Lots of confusion on plans of jio with regards to liberalized 1800 MHz spectrum. Rest of the operators I am sure will jump to 4g on 1800 MHz band and in case of airtel, they will vacate old 900 spectrum on 2g with new auctions and will start 3G on 900mhz band and provide 2g voice on 1800mhz

I would like to know why they haven't put the boosters and switches on these towers yet and big question is where will they put switches, ups, etc as I don't see Soave around these towers

Guys, just want to know where will they put telecom switches from samsung in these towers. No soft bts space is kept near the tower. Or there is any space inside the tower to keep telecom equipment
