Nexus 6P (International and US variant) will have CDMA connectivity
ngr.hd posted a topic in Other handsets
As per the Android Police article here: http://www.androidpolice.com/2015/09/29/nexus-5x-vs-nexus-6p-differences-help-decide-one-pick/ CDMA connectivity on Nexus 6P will be avaliable for US as well as International variant (which we'll get officially in India). Nexus 6P (international version): GSM/EDGE: 850/900/1800/1900MHz UMTS/WCDMA: B1/2/4/5/6/8/9/19 TD-SCDMA: 34/39 CDMA: BC0/1 LTE (FDD): B1/2/3/4/5/7/8/9/17/19/20/28 LTE (TDD): B38/B39/40/41 CA DL: B1-B5, B1-B8, B1-B19, B3-B3, B3-B5, B3-B7, B3-B8, B3-B19, B3-B20, B3-B28, B5-B7, B7-B7, B7-B20, B7-B28, B39-B39, B40-B40, B41-B41 Nexus 6P (US version): GSM/EDGE: 850/900/1800/1900MHz UMTS/WCDMA: B1/2/4/5/8 CDMA: BC0/1/10 LTE (FDD): B2/3/4/5/7/12/13/17/25/26/29/30 LTE (TDD): B41 CA DL: B2-B2, B2-B4, B2-B5, B2-B12, B2-B13, B2-B17, B2-B29, B4-B4, B4-B5, B4-B13, B4-B17, B4-B29, B41-B41 No details whether it would be SIM or non-SIM based. But I bet it would be both MEID (non-SIM) + RUIM enabled like we have for Moto E (2nd Gen.) LTE Moment of rejoice for Reliance and other CDMA users out there! Edit: Typo corrected- 13 replies

Could you please tell how did you make LTE activate on it? I have the Boost Moto e 2nd Gen but all I get is EDGE and no internet.
-
Well, I've 7 CDMA connections all under CUG plan, and all have the old lot. Everything works perfectly in Delhi Circle. Also SIM cards work on Moto E 2nd edition LTE xt1526 (Boost) after selecting Global mode. Works even on Stock 5.1 Boost and CM13 nightlies and at least catches EDGE since Band 1 (2300) is not active. There are instructions on XDA on how to enable other UMTS/WCDMA bands. For people having xt1526, phone shouldn't be considered as paperweight. Hence, it must be your own hypothesis.

Bought Flame 1. Cheapest and reliable for hotspot purposes. -
Well, atleast those of who are using Moto E 2nd gen xt126 can use their new GSM sim without any change of handset. And the device is also well supported on XDA, so no update problems.

@Hitesh Is it safe to flash over the official CM 12.1 http://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-g/orig-development/rom-official-cyanogenmod-12-nightly-t2994749 Going by the reports the ROM for XT1031 is somewhat stable. Currently I'm on 5.0.1 on 4.4.2 modem. Will flashing ROM+GApps cause the PRL and DATA to erase? My guess is no, but I need to be certain. Thanks

Not quite sure. But I guess it would be both OMH as well as MEID capable.- 13 replies

Well, if you compare both: http://www.gsmarena.com/compare.php3?idPhone1=7588&idPhone2=7229 I find Nexus 6P a clear winner. AMOLED screen, purest Android, timely updates, better battery, Finger print sensor, Gorilla Glass 4, Quad Core 820, Adreno 430, Type-C reversible 3.0 Micro USB all that for the cost of SD slot, which IDC personally. And not to forget DxOmark gave Nexus 6P camera next best to Galaxy S6: http://www.androidpolice.com/2015/09/29/dxomark-says-the-nexus-6ps-camera-is-one-of-the-best-available-second-only-to-the-galaxy-s6-edge/ Also: This: http://www.androidpolice.com/2015/09/29/nexus-camera-gets-huge-improvements-slow-motion-video-smart-burst-6p-launch-shortcut/ And (Ultra 4K 240 FPS recording): http://www.androidauthority.com/nexus-6p-camera-samples-slow-motion-video-645806/ All that makes Moto Style a previous year phone, I'm sold for Nexus 6P already! Goodbye Moto U forget to compare most important factor Price.Exactly. You cannot compare Moto X Style with Nexus 6P given the price, in the first place. N6P will obviously outperform Moto Style.- 13 replies

Ibhave read that ART runtime (whichbia default in Lollipop) would take up more space than the dalvic. Does this means the free space we have would be even less than Kitkat? And as such Moto G has just 8gb.

Can I flash this over 4.4.2 or do I need to flash 4.4.4 first? Thanks

Hello Hitesh Ji Why is the slideshare on unlocking the Moto G marked as private? http://www.slideshare.net/mobile/main/private_slideshow?path_to_redirect_at=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.slideshare.net%2Fmobile%2Fhambarde%2Fmoto-g-ver3final Thanks

In your moto g please change assisted dialing country to India. Then you can make calls to +91 As it will treat them as only 0 prefix Thank you that did the trick!
-
Hello Sir I cannot make any call using Moto G on Reliance network that starts with + ie +91, +1, or any other country for that matter. I know I can call international nos. by prefixing 00 but still why not with + Thanks

Tutorial: How To Flash Sprint Moto X & any Moto G CDMA To Reliance CDMA
ngr.hd replied to ::Hitesh::'s topic in Tutorial and Guides
1- Remove my name and my content from XDA , which is posted without my permission. 2-when ever you update Moto G cdma software, it will revert back to boost or verizon settings. 3- phones on shop.rcom.co.in are imported from USA, which was originally made for Boost or Verizon. 4- these updates are not for Reliance CDMA, they will delete PRL and Data settings of Reliance and restore factory default. 5- to block updates you can freeze MotoOTA app thru Rom Manager. So if I even when flashing custom roms, I would need to input PRL and Data settings of Reliance as guided in this thread, right? -
If I flash Boost image, will I continue to receive Reliance EVDO/CDMA signals and Data? Do I need to punch in APN for Reliance upon completion of flashing? Thanks

Hello Hitesh I've linked some important topics posted by you related to Moto G CDMA for Reliance on XDA. Please visit http://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-g/general/moto-g-cdma-xt1031-discussion-thread-t2835655 Thanks! Hello I'm planning to buy Moto G CDMA offered by Reliance from their eshop rcom website. Please visit: If you scroll down they state, "Please do not upgrade the factory Android 4.4.2 Kitkat version in your phone to any New Verison. When you are asked for Upgrade, please choose "No, Maybe Later" Option." Why the hell they are saying that? I asked via toll free, however received unsatisfactory answers. Please if someone could clarify this? I really want this phone and that I cannot port my no. to GSM due to plan restriction. Thanks!
