I once again want to share with you people - With my nokia E71 - I use unlimited GPRS plan of airtel( Rs 250 /month). Since I have taken this plan for 1 year - Rs 1500( 125 pm) . Its damn cheap. I get EDGE all over Trivandrum. I had connectivity all India ( during roaming). I use my phone to stream youtube, get push mail, Mail for exchange , IM, Fring, Google News, etc. For local call Airtel again. I get a lot of perks like - Rental 199 600 mins to any mobile 1000 mins to CUG @10 paise After the alloted quota - 30ps - A, 40 ps - O(m) Airtel to Airtel STD - Re 1 Airtel to Others - Rs 1.5 Local SMS - 49 ps ( 100 free local sms) National - 1 International SMS - Rs 3 For calling to STD locations - I use Tata. Now I also have reliance CDMA postpaid , GSM Prepaid( no network ever since I bought) - which I have stopped using. It can never match the tariff mentioned above. Imagine their data plan. I can never live with it. And I cannot live without data plan. So till 3G comes to India in full way - I feel great with my connection.

Yes I know this. But I dont think so there will be many takers for this. As they have a long way to go to match BB services. And this gives me a feel that in India( where people invest after a lot of research) it will take a while before paid services are started. Lets see.

Its not about TDSAT judgement. But their pathetic network and service. I would rate third grade. I was not expecting this from reliance. I have almost stopped using reliance. For me TATA and Airtel works great. But MTS has really shown some spark. I would love to use it.

10 Hours!!! Thats great! For past one and half month there id no reliance network in my house. Every attempt to reach them failed.

Even I want MTS. But dont want to spend on handset. I have LG 3000. Can we somehow do this?

My SIM - I have never used ever since I bought it. No network. Even did what @savramesh had suggested - registered complained at the CC,WW and wrote a mail to CC. Nothing haappened. I only wanted to test their EDGE network. Otherwise I am very happy with AIRTEL. unlimited browsing @ 1500 per annum.

I feel cheated for paying that 99 bucks initially. Trust me guys - whenever i do a manual search - I get Aircel and TATA as against reliance. Tata yet to launch and Aircel comparatively new.

My story is also the same. Only the place in concern is Trivandrum - in my case. Airtel rocks here!

Very much true. I bought my sim 7 days back - have not seen any network in my home. I wrote a mail to gsm customer care - no response came. I went to webworld - they said it will take 2- 3 months. Such poor customer response - a big turn off for me. The other day - I had complained the Airtel CC for poor network coverage indoors. They sent their technical team the next day. I was impressed.

Reliance ADA means kill consumers. But then - who cares? I dont. I am happy with broadband connection at Home (any day stable than any wireless technology). On the move - I have unlimited EDGE on my phone. At office - again I have 45 mbps line. Always connected. My advice - continue with the existing options available. Another option is to trust reliance and cry later. No provider is here to do social service. They are predative. Dont fall prey to them. Go for the best deals. Ex - For BF/GF pairs , willing to talk long distance- go with TATA 450 plan unlimited instead of Reliance 770 unlimited. Broadband - use reliance - as they have not come up with their capping limit. In case they do that, then go with the one - which has the least capping. Reliance GSM for example - is not offering anything different. In fact it has Bad , very very bad network - now. Still I see people going mad about it. Dont be emotional about any company my friends. Get the best and save your money.Don't get killed. Kill 'em. Lastly - my friends - my intention is not to hut anyone. Or to start any debate. The average speed that reliance evdo is claiming is around 500kbps. Instead take their 600 kbps broadband plan if you dont need mobility. In case you are mobile then see the EVDO coverage in your area and then jump into it.

I live in Trivandrum( near PMG, Plamoodu). My SiM is active as well. Indoor coverage is almost nil. Even inside the BIG BAzaar, kesavadasapuram , there was no network. In the main road, the network shows.

Bought a sim today. Absolutely no network. On manual search I get tata now. But no reliance. Also I get ind 02.

Free browsing - using PC?

I am using all the three Airtel, Tata, Reliance. Broadband - Reliance , Tata (in Delhi). No issues at all. Mobile - Tata,Reliance, Airtel. I rate tata as the best. Great customer care, great tariffs. Their network coverage lags as against reliance. This is my personal experience. No offences to anyone.

Coming back to the starting topic - Phone for Email - Nokia has released two great emailing phones. Nokia E75 and E55. The E75 is already relaesed whereas E55 is in coming soon status at the Nokia India website. Apart from this you have Nokia e63 available for 14.2 - 14.5 K. Cheers!

Friends, There's a great news for the GSM users of Kerala. Today my manual search yielded me IND TATA. I am really excited about this. Let me know if anyone else noticed this. PS: Place of manual search: Bhavani Basement, Technopark, Trivandrum.

Yesterday, near East Fort in Trivandrum - I found a new signal - IND 02. Mind that this is not IND 20 ( RGSM ,TN). Rest all operators - had their name listed on my cell. It included - Aircel and Reliance. Can anyone solve this new mystery - IND 02 ( Shyam or may be Tata)? Yes that's Aircel.

I agree. I use TATA, Airtel and Reliance. Tata is value for money. Reliance has the best coverage. In case you dont live in a remote location or travel to the interiors - the best option is Tata.

if that's aircel, then what is IND 809? IND 809 is aircel for sure.

i use nokia E71. Its a great device. I love my phone. I am trying nokia email for my personal mails - gmail. I get a true push mail experience. For corporate mail - I am using in built Mail for Exchange( v 2.7). It somehow does the job. But I would love to see HTML support in MfE. Seven - does not support HTML.
