  1. Reliance Pro 3 WiPod device - very slow speed

Mumbai circle has hardly any RevB sites. Typical rcom.
  2. ICRA with Aircel/TD will continue for 2G. 3G network will be ramped up. Tentatively.
  3. How do you perform PRL ugrade on RUIM? Cmon man, share it! We all can benefit.
  4. @huaweitrick02 First tell how have you managed to access MTS rev B on reliance ruim?
  5. Truely Unlimited 3G data pack

Different costs for different subscribers. Dial *129# to find out. First month I got it for 289, now it is available for 349. No idea till when the scheme will last. But rcom 3g is very fast in Mumbai/Delhi.
  6. Post MNP Experience

    @dkaile Reason for port out?
  7. Even selecting Pro3 will give RevA, if RevB is not present
  8. WiPod status page will show 3.1mbps for RevA and 14.7 mbps for revB.
  9. @huaweitrick Please tell how to upload prl onto unlocked dongle/omh card.
  10. ZTE has no ruim slot @farookh Where in Chembur?
  11. Switch to CDMA ?

Here in Mumbai, RGSM 3G is much faster than RCDMA EV, and RCDMA signal s**ks for the most part. Signal is present everywhere but it is almost never full strength.
  12. Switch to CDMA ?

I have been a long time CDMA user. These days use GSM as primiary number and have kept CDMA for sentimental purposes
  13. Switch to CDMA ?

@arnuld @Guru Gopal That would probably mirror my experice. Coverage is more or less great within cities. Any idea about the rural coverage? Is it comparable to RCDMA?
  14. Switch to CDMA ?

@Guru Gopal Where all have you used tata CDMA on roaming and how was the network at these places?
  15. Switch to CDMA ?

^You can't recieve calls with 1X data on, on Reliance CDMA. Tata does not have the same issue. On TATA, 1X data disconnects and the call comes through.
  16. Get RUIM of series 06 and above. Create APN in phone and data should work. In other news, latest RUIM of TATA is also working with data on Motorola phones with 4.4. No APN needed.
  17. No signal anywhere else in the city at all?
  18. Can you specify where all? Did revB need to be activated separately? Suddenly Rev A speeds in my area have increased:
  19. 949 for prepaid subs. Everything unlimited. Great plan, if you ask me. Issue with locked dongle is that suppose you move somewhere where network s**ks, the dongle is as good as useless until you unlock it.
  20. Elphinstone and parts of Dadar. Got only 2.5mbps. Couldn't test more, was traveling. RevB stayed for like 5 minutes only. All Mumbai RMS are selling Pro3 dongles though.
  21. RevB in Chembur only on one BTS. The one near rcom store was being tested on revB. No idea if still present. Haven't found revB anywhere else in Chembur.
  22. I don't think even nano Sim is needed. I've got revB in Mumbai with regular Sim in ec306 dongle. However, very few towers have revB here.
  23. 1X Data Not Keeping The Phone Engaged!

Alright. And how is the rural/highway CDMA coverage on rcom in general?
  24. 1X Data Not Keeping The Phone Engaged!

I have been a long time TI user. Recently shifted within the city to a place where EvDO on Tata isn't present, only 1X. A large part of the neighbourhood is 1X only and thus the need to switch. Bought a new rcom cdma ruim. Network is good around my location (both EV and 1X). However, from what I've seen, and read on this forum, I can't receive calls when 1X data is on, on reliance. The calling party just gets an engaged tone. Incoming calls work fine, when EVDO is present. On Tata, 1X data used to disconnect, and the call used to come through. Is it possible to achieve the same on RCDMA? Now luckily, I am yet to come across a place where evdo isn't present in Mumbai, but still it would be nice to know of a solution. Handset is Droid Razr M, if of any use.
