My 6230 has signal sensitivity problems due to which there are frequent call drops and SMS "Not Sent" errors. This apart, the voice clarity was also bad - both i/c and o/g. i am also facing these problems. i contacted lgservice centre . they told that this is software problem and they changed the software. but now also i am facing this. please tell me the exact procedure . did you directly to lg or reliance?

New S/W for LG RD6230 is Ver 16 not 15. It has also got an additional feather called Slid show I could not use it,it says no photos saved. This available in camera menu No Lg had withdrawn the version 16 due to some problem in ringtone. so the version for LG6230 is 13 only. wait for new version ...............

With this codec we can play .mjp format?

as per cracker tips, we have to ping the DNS servers (get it from ipconfig) of rconnect, and also to change the port speed of the connection to 230kbps speed from the properties. i tried it but the download/browsing speed is the same. he also recommends to use "internet download manager" for downloading. thanks for the tips cracker, but the only thing that I dont have that you recommend is a genuine original data cable, otherwise do you really think it would it have increased the connection speed?

No Trai lifeline for lifetime validity The Finiancial Express Wednesday, February 08, 2006 at 0042 hours IST NEW DELHI, FEB 7: The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (Trai) is planning to ask mobile operators to withdraw lifetime validity schemes on the grounds that they mislead the customers, Trai sources told FE. Offered under different names like Jeevan Saathi, Chalta Rahe, LifeLong and Lifetime Validity, these schemes are misinforming customers with misleading titles, Trai sources said. The Trai stand comes on the basis of a direction it issued in September, 2005 to withdraw plans with misleading titles. Just two days ago, cell operators said that lifetime validity means the lifetime of their license and not the subscribers’ lifetime. Alternatively, Trai may ask operators to specify their start and end date of license period, alter the scheme name and provide exit options to subscribers. In contrast, COAI had said that there is no need to spell out any exit options for these plans. Responding to Trai’s stand, COAI director general TV Ramachandran said, “Earlier when we (GSM operators) complained on the introduction of a two year validity scheme (by Tata Indicom), Trai didn’t say anything. Now, when (GSM) customers are responding to lifetime schemes, Trai wants to stop them.” Trai believes the operators introduced lifetime schemes to counter introduction of MNP (Mobile Number Portability). “Lifetime validity offer at about Rs1000 may act as a barrier for MNP. Cellcos which do not favour MNP could take the position that MNP would be irrelevant once every operator has acquired a huge proportion of subscribers in their lifetime tariff plans,” Trai said.

I think there is a small problem in the handset . please check........... remove all the installed rworld application. check the memory used under rworld >settings >manage services >system info. without using any application it is displaying 39% of memory is used sometimes it is displaying 40%. I removed all thing ie messages ,ringtones ,phonebook also then also same problem. Is this problem of the handset or new software Ie version 13.

MUMBAI: The new policy on collecting access deficit charge (ADC) on a revenue-share basis is likely to be announced before the end of this month. And there’s some action on the spectrum front as well. The Project Definition Team, set up by the Department of Telecom with the defence ministry, will submit its report on release of spectrum by the armed forces on January 20, DoT secretary JS Sarma said at the GSM 3G conference held here. “The move to a revenue-sharing regime for ADC will be a reality very soon,” Mr Sarma said. In what may be music to operators’ ears, BSNL has been asked to vacate the 2 Ghz spectrum, which was not being used by the telco. Trai had also recommended that additional spectrum should be allocated in the 800 Mhz, 1800 Mhz and 2 Ghz band. “Two parallel carriers (bands) are required, one for incoming and the other for outgoing. BSNL has been asked not use 2 Ghz any longer and the companion band is required to be vacated by the army. We are talking to them for vacating that band,” Mr Sarma said Operators have been demanding increased spectrum in view of a rising subscriber base and to improve quality of services. “We are trying to get spectrum vacated and this year we hope to see more spectrum being available to the operators,” he added. On tariffs, he said, “We are moving towards OneIndia. Reliance Infocomm has already announced these tariffs. Others will also follow soon.” He said the target of 200m mobile subscribers will be met before ’07. “We are adding around 5.5m users every month.
